Excellent and informative as always. Thank you.
I have a 1989 MB r107 here at home in the us. I would like to keep the twin 5 3/4” headlights when I return to the UK. Do you know if that would be possible?
    Thanks again

Need to be clear. LEDs can be used in many older cars. Just not those with plastic headlamp lenses. 1982 onwards. Pre 1982 should be ok if the pattern is correct. And those headlamps are horrid in most older cars

I'm sorry, but these 'new' headlamp units look absolutely awful. they change the whole appearance of the front of a car built in the 1950's and 60's. I really can't see owners of MG's, Austin Healeys, Morris 1000's and other cars that use the standard 7" Lucas H4 headlamps replacing them with these, no doubt efficient, but totally inappropriate, style of headlamp. Possibly acceptable for use on more modern classics, which will still require an MOT

I’ve fitted these lights to an E Type. It was a disaster. There is no facility for Continental driving, the beam pattern left a big dark patch on the road in front of the car, the halo lights are side lights, they are NOT daytime running lights. I found these lights both disappointing and extremely dangerous. Sorry Wipac. This painful lesson cost me hundreds of pounds.
