Because we don't need anymore of a snake character to whittle down the cast and houses, considering the focus now is the march of the whitewalkers and the night king down south. The matryoshkas' worth of conflicts, politics, and interactions that story arc may cntain is enough. Petyr has done enough whittling of folks through his schemes. It's a shame they screwed up the character in season 7. It was not a decent move. They did everything for the "show". For he would never, ever take into consideration a gifted kid who can witness past events and know the truth about him, if it were not for that, surely he would still be in the game, soon he lost to the impossible, unimaginable. Who forgot that he was only unmasked because of Bran?
Zack Fair I wouldn't say that they are incompetent, just that they might not to be able to match Martin's skills at creating intriguing and interwoven plots. We shouldn't also forget that Martin takes years to create such plots and the show writers have just one year. I don't mean it as an excuse, just an explanation.

I disagree. While I think it could have been executed better, I believe that Arya was a brilliant choice because she was a trained assassin and that The Night King had no way of seeing her coming because he was not aware of her existence.
He had it on the nail. And even then, Sansa might not have had the deed done were it not for Bran... the literal Game of Thrones Kryptonite to any serious player. Sansa had Littlefinger killed for what he did to their father. Outside of the vision of Godhood, there's no way they'd have pieced that together.
His tragic weakness, his love for the Catelyn l, and through that her daughter. His undoing was his compassion for another. Perhaps the only other he had compassion for.(If he had any left for Catelyn after Catelyn threatened to kill him)
I think this move has a lot to do with the 48 Laws of Power. He violated two laws here: Law 19 know who you're dealing with don't offend the wrong person and Law 2 never put too much trust in friends learn how to use enemies. I think he was too confident in himself and underestimated Sansa, her motives and feelings. He assumed she was still a vulnerable little girl like how she was in King's Landing. She grew up and got smart.
It doesnt have anything to do with that because the character could write that damn book. He was literally the definitive expert at both of those "laws" in the show. He violated rule 49. never fall in love it ruins the other 48 rules
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Petyr Baelish avoids this corruption by avoiding the source of power, but staying close enough to bath in its benefits. 'You can identify the most powerful man in the room easily, but the smartest? You have to look to the source of the power for that. The powerful man may speak the most, but who does he look at the most? This look is important, it is a pursuit of validation. This look will be directed towards the smartest man in the room. The snake in the grass.' Petyr Baelish is that man. This is why he succeeds to the degree he does. Excellent video as always Charlie.
Akala references this in his song Absolute Power but it is actually a quote from a renowned historian John Dalberg-Acton who famously said, Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.
It's clear now, he is the perfect ruler that Niccolo Machiavelli was talking about :) the one who prefers results more than his pride or his ego, and what's most important - the one who understands that in order to obtain and stay in power, you have to let go of the so called moral code and focus 100% on your main goal.
Please do a video about Olena Tyrell/ the queen of thorns because she is the only person apart from Tyrion who can stand up to Tywin, plus she killed jeofrey
everyone tried to stand up to Tywin, but noone could stand in the end, except for the dwarf, which is a kind of ironic, because that was the only time Tywin was shi**ing himself.
Littlefinger's strenght is probably Tyrion's weakness. Both are very good at manipulating and persuading but, while Baelish doesn't mind not being recognized as the genius he is, Tyrion can't stand that (as shown during his "confession" at the trial)
The main difference is generally that Baelish doesn't mind. At all. He loved Cat. He's infatuated with Sansa. But either way, I do not believe he would ever show remorse if she ended up dead. He doesn't care for when he's complimented, he doesn't care for when he's insulted. He just keeps playing. Tyrion constantly wants attention, approval, and being recognized as a genius, but he doesn't like compliments either. He hates himself for being a dwarf, he has some serious self-image problems. Mostly due to his father, of course. But when it all falls together, he can be flung out of the game due to his ego, be it positive or negative.
Stupidest death. The master manipulator who concocted the greatest scheme Westeros has ever seen never thought of the possibility of Sansa turning on him... It's even worst after his whole speech about thinking of every possible outcome for every possible situation in order to never be caught off guard.
+Antonio Rella Littlefinger was a master manipulator in King's Landing. Where men and women betray each other for power. Where he had all the knowledge in his palms through his brothels. Not in the North or the Vale . The Northmen and the Knights of the Vale value honour and loyalty above all (with notable exceptions like the Smalljon, who btw was an honourable character in the books, and Harald Karstark who were both siding with Ramsay for practical reasons-Harald felt that Rob, and by extension, the Starks had betrayed him by executing Lord Rickard Karstark, and Smalljon needed the Bolton men to help defend against the Free Folk raids). Littlefinger was out of his element in the North. He couldn't whisper honey-coated words in the ears of Yohn Royce or Robett Glover. He couldn't bribe or cheat his way to knowledge in the North. Failing to see that he was out of his element was Baelish's biggest mistake. Moreover, even if Baelish had anticipated the Northern Lords and somehow managed to win them over, there's one thing he could literally have never seen coming : Three-Eyed-Raven Bran. Baelish was rattled by Bran's "Chaos is a Ladder " retort, but he didn't tuck tail and run because he was a practical man. He didn't believe in magic. That was Baelish's biggest flaw. He could never outsmart Bran, not when Bran knows of every single thing he did. TL;DR Littlefinger, clever as he was, could never have predicted Bran's abilities. And all his scheming was unraveled by Bran's greensight. That was his downfall.
His "chaos is a ladder" speech is one of the best I've ever heard, and it makes to much sense when you really think about it. Chaos is a ladder, it only gets more chaotic as you climb higher and higher...
You totally predicted his end. His weakness was Sansa, he taught her too much, revealed his hand, and she got wise to him (although Bran filled in a lot of blanks).
I think selling her to the Boltons already revealed his motives. Petyr should have wed her to Lysa's son, or he should have wedded her after murdering Lysa. Sansa fell in love with Baelish.
Niccolo Parker yes but he failed on being a father, and that was the thing that led House Lannister to its downfall. Ironically, Tyrion is the only man left who can save House Lannister from destruction, i mean he pretty much secured his position as Lord of Casterly Rock when Daenerys appointed him as Hand
True he was a horrible father. However he wasn,t really the main cause of House Lannister Downfall. He may have contributed a bit by not knowing some things about his children, but most of the blame would fall to Cersei and Joffery. He did indirectly and to a degree directly(Tyrion trial) contributed to the House fall with his awful parenting skills, but wasn,t the main cause of it. Although you do make a good point and I respect your opinion I just partly disagree with it.
In the books he made it from a little Lord from the fingers to the master of the coin, lord of harrenhal, lord paramount of the trident, lord protector of the vale and I think he is a better player in the books as example that he really controls the three kettleback brothers or how he beat the lords of the declaration
A horse could've predicted his win, considering everyone knew the DNC would choose Hillary Clinton and she's unelectable. People are sick of presidential dynasties.
Do a video about Putin. There is some kind of dominant energy around him that makes you fear and respect the man. The same way like Tywin Lannister shines dominance out of him.
suncu91 no, he's a domineering power hungry Machiavellian. He has that dominant energy because he is ruthless and unethical, you don't want to be like that. And even if you did, people don't like to be around a person who will cast them aside for personal gain.
suncu91 The thing is Putin isn't doing anything particularly unique from other politicians besides speak Russian. It's simply his reputation and image that is doing it all for him, and a simple attitude of assertiveness. How much do you really know about Putin beyond what the media has portrayed? At this point the only thing we should know according to CNN is that he's a Sith Lord. So our subconscious is automatically crafting his aura for him, rather than anything objective.
What action are you doing that Littlefinger does? Creeping on preteen girls a third of your age? Getting your throat slit? Don't get me wrong, I like the way his mind works, but his actions were not exactly wise in a few key moments, and his results leave me wondering why you would emulate his actions. Also, I was mainly kidding. If we had been conversing in person, I would have said it with a wry smile, so as to indicate that I was doing a bit. Perhaps i should have winked *winks* . And just because I can admit his flaws does not mean that I don't recognize his strengths, or that I don't like him as a character. My brother teases me that I always root for the bad guy, but I choose to see it as having an affinity for anti-heroes and those operating in the grey areas/shadows. I call them Raistlin types, because that was the first time I remember consciously loving a character that clearly was not classically "good". Littlefinger and Raistlin share many traits, now that I think on it, which is probably why I also like Littlefinger (though that doesn't blind me to his creepy obsessions or strategic flaws). Anyway, feel free to actually answer the questions I asked about how you were acting like Littlefinger, or just disregard them- I was just joshing/busting balls.
He's dead because the show runners have new projects and have to quickly finish the show. Game of Thrones stopped being Game of Thrones after season 4.
“Sometimes when I’m trying to understand a person’s motives, I play a little game. I assume the worst.” Littlefinger completely misread Sanza, never realizing what she was capable of. It cost him his life.
The mockingbird. Fits him perfectly! Never aggressive nor killing anyone... yet he plans for others to lead themselves to their own demise. He's a planner. A trapper. Scavenger. A player at the top of his grind. Much respect.
Littlefinger started playing the game before he was fostered with the Turllys. His target was Cat. To become lord of Riverrun he only had to Marry Cat then Kill Edmure. But Cat married Ned. That spoiled his game so he played the game of money. That was until Sansa became the most priced Trophy even Robert planned to marry her to Jofferythinking he was his Son. Littlefinger made sure it never happened. Then Varys messed up his game and Sana marries Tyrion. Now Littlefinger plots tokill Tyrion so he can Marry Sansa. Then Jaime and Varys helped Tyrion escape. So right now there are 3 people in the way of Littlefinger, Edmure, Tyrion and the pregnant frey girl.
Littlefinger also had Lysa that helped him in many of his upcomings. So instead of manipulating Cat, he manipulated Lysa instead. Without Lysa, I don't think Baelish would have reached very far. He knocked her up on a daily, so she knocked him with opportunities from her rich husband. Sometimes, you have to bone to get that throne.
Yes but no, he ended up loving Cat, that was he’s biggest weakness. The fact of being emotionally stable made him quick enough to be three steps forward, but when you start showing sensitivity, it all goes down a hill
You are wrong. Varys and olenna planned sansa's marriage to lord lores. Littlefinger told tywin about it. He told tywin to Marry Sansa to Tyrion so he can use Tyrion as a puppet to kill joffrey and create chaos in kings landing.
After last night's episode, this video is even more pertinent. Everything in this video is exemplified in that episode. Especially the part where Sansa is his weakness. The analysis is so accurate that this was predicted long before the season began. It frightens me to consider what littlefinger is planning next, and the effect of his "talk" with jon.
randomflashbacks Cersei is smart for one reason. She never allowed others to provoke her enough to leave King’s Landing. When Tywin told her he wanted her to marry Loris she refused and set up a plan to have him killed so she wouldn’t have to leave. Even when Tommen asked her if she’d like to go back to Casterly Rock she refused and stayed there. By always staying near the seat of power she has kept herself alive to where she could outlive almost all her enemies including: Rob Baratheon, Ned Stark, Rob Stark, Stannis Baratheon, The Greyjoy King, Renly Baratheon, the High Septon (who also got her out of the Red Keep for a while but made the mistake of letting her go back before her trial), Margery Tyrell, Olena Tyrell, Elia Martell and so many more. She’s made it this far by keeping close to the seat of power. Now let’s see if she can make it past Danyreas Targarean.
+octoberboiy Eh? No she doesn't and no she's not. She's the biggest fool of all the major players in the novels. She's clearly not a player, for starters. She's been made to look like one in the series because fan-fiction and feminist agenda.
I don't remember if they mention that in the show, but in the books Littlefinger explains how he planted the seed to make Olenna want to kill Joffrey by spreading rumors in Renly's camp about Joffrey. She thinks she wants to kill him on her own will, but really Littlefinger made her do it, she was his pawn.
******SPOILER ALERT******* I believe that congratulations are in order here. You were spot on in predicting Little Finger's downfall by Sansa and Aria's hands! I look forward to hearing your insights on season 8..
The actor Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays the character Bran Stark in the series Game of Thrones, gave a series of interviews telling a little about the end of the seventh season and the fan theory that suggests that Bran is actually the King of Night ! According to the actor, Bran was responsible for opening the eyes of Sansa about the manipulation of Pinky in putting the Stark sisters against each other. In an interview with Variety, Hempstead Wright recounted that they had recorded a scene in which Sansa goes to Bran to ask for help about the situation with Arya, and the youngest of the family uses his omniscient ability with the Three-Eyed Crow to unmask Pinky. The scene, however, was cut, possibly to enhance the dramatic effect of the revelation of Lord Baelish's sentence in the season finale.
Little Finger's death was complete bs and bad writing on the part of the show. First, he just hung around Winterfell, doing absolutely nothing for the entire season before just dying. Second, it went completely against Littlefinger's mentality to pour his desires out into Sansa. Littlefinger is cold, calculating, and too smart to get beat by some teenager who spent half the show playing stupid in King's Landing. It really just feels as though the show couldn't figure out what to do with him, so just killed him off.
10:00 Yeah, there's a lot of power in this contrast, Littlefinger is able to withstand the pain at short term to get the big long term goal. A lot of times we make our future situations worse for ourselves by becoming narrow minded and not coldly considering what will happens next, after we, let's say, start a fight or argument with someone.
Boobalopbop That is true, but that doesnt change the fact that he was the most powerful man in Westeros before his death. Even with his intimidation and bullying he came a long way.
Thank you for repeating that the book LF is different than the show's LF. I can't believe the show LF would actually give Sansa away to the Boltons, the book LF will never do so.
R-01 To say that someone is irrelevant because he is dead dismisses the lessons that can be learned from him. While fictional, Tywin's grip on power was extremely strong and he was a master at working behind the scenes. Ask Robb Stark.
tywin's one huge flaw was his underestimation of tyrion leading to his down fall, he thought tyrion was the stereotypical dumb dwarf everyone thinks he is. but he should have known better
If anything, it's the complete opposite. Since he is dead, that just means his relevance is that much more important to Cersei's and Jaime's characters, as his influence has controlled their actions, even after his death. Honestly, you could probably determine the fate of both Cersei and Jaime from a Tywin character breakdown...
Tywin could have possibly already won the game had he not been so terrible to Tyrion. He thought Tyrion would always put up with his mistreatment, underestimating the dwarfs courage to eventually stand up for himself.
This is why Baelish is the best character in Game of Thrones, he is the depiction of a modern day man, trapped in the feudal era. He can't swordfight, he has brains and he is born from relatively nowhere, with the ambition to have everything. No one can tell this man what he can't do. We are all born equal, regardless of social standing and within each of us, we have the potential to reach the highest standing in life.
I really want him to be the one who sits on the iron throne. Despites he really can die in this season, I might have the feeling he's the major character in the ASOIAF, even people saying that's a story without protagonists, Martin really can make's all of us think about Dany and Jon just to sacrifice them in the end to save the world from the deads and puts Petyr in the throne (by the way, all major events on the books was made by his hand. He was the person who killed Jon Arryn and brought the Starks to the South, he betrayed Ned and indirectely cause the war of the five kings, he was the person who saved the north from the Boltons)
Not just in the books, but the show too. It was just very poorly written and easily missed. But he still was the reason the entire show happened and put the Starks and Lannisters at odds.
Shiba Doggo Nope. Baelish' schemes mean nothing in the face of the Long Night, in both the books and the show. And it's been teased he'll meet his end in the books just as he has in the show.
I'd love to see you do more videos about Littlefinger. He is such an intriguing character, and you can learn so much from him. Both what to do and what signs to look for in others, so you avoid falling for manipulations. I really love how you point out BOTH the good AND the bad qualities in people, and why what they do works! ^^
edi I know, that series is the reason I call Tywin the machiavelli. I just think it would be interesting to see an analysis of tywin from a charisma perspective.
Silvio Silvia Lima The order of the Green hand did that exact video series, with that title. Every thing they do is supported by the books. Check them out, I think you'll enjoy it! have a great day Love QOT.🌹
Silvio Silvia Lima I think Littlefinger is even more Machiavellish than Tywin, Tywin looks more like the Prince that Machiavelli talks about in his book
When Sansa confronted Little Finger about leaving her with Ramsay Bolton, I was sure she’d take his tongue (and maybe his hands/fingers so he couldn’t write). She needed his army but couldn’t trust his loyalty, but the man is powerless without the ability to communicate. I really thought there would be a true GoT poetic justice moment where we’d get to see Little Finger become a pawn in the game
You know a show is superb and terrific when this amount of analysis could be done to its characters. Anyway, great job man, keep the work up, and could you do Tywin?
Charisma on Command : so you should let people feel like it is their descision Charisma on Command : Speaking of cersei, let me know if you want a video about her in the comment
Rewatching his videos in this time that GOT is finished. He's really good at predicting just from analyzing peoples behaviors and skills. Tyrion, Sansa, Little Finger, He was spot on.
This video can be really be used for good. I used some of these strategies unconsciously (before watching this video) to calmly deal with my cousin's abusive and narcissistic/sociopathic ex-boyfriend, in order to protect my cousin. Keeping your ego in check and not triggering his ego was probably one of the most important things to dealing with such people.
Hey, what do you think about Davos's ability to persuade almost anyone? I think it might be interesting to see you analyze him to see how he is able to do so. He was the reason Stannis was able to persuade the Iron Bank, he persuaded Melisandre to snap out of her funk to bring Jon back. He talked Lyanna Mormont in to helping Jon take back winterfell, and many other things he was able to convince others to do, all while being what he himself would describe as "not a very learned man!!!"
Yeah, Davos is different from everyone else because he doesn't use cunning to captivate other people, instead he's more of "friendly uncle" type of guy.
10:11 "While everyone else is pursuing the trappings of power- like respect, titles, praise etc, Petyr only wants the big wins"-True, as he himself has said. Everything else is an illusion. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
One thing I have noticed over the years was the fact that pretty much all of the main characters have gone through major changes and character development. The one character who appears to have gone through ZERO character development is none other than Little Finger himself. Tells a lot about how he's traversed through the great game.
This reminds me a lot of people who shocase "toxic" but "effective" methods to games and such but then tell people "don't do this, people will hate you" like, and? In a lot of those situations, their distaste becomes absolutly irrivilent as the user has already won and in that idea, sees no conquence to their actions. I usually start thinking at that point "then why the F are you showing people this if its a bad idea?!". That is just egging them on, even if it is unintentional.
I really want him to survive and thrive. He is by far one of the smartest cahracters in the game and if the writers kill him for a stupid reason the show will instantly become a cliche were all the "bad" guys die even though they are way smarter than the "good" guys who win.
erm....surely it illustrates that the student had beat the master...sansa took his lessons and eventually burnt him when he had outlived his usefulness....I think it makes perfect sense....the show wont suffer one bit just cause you lost your favourite character...that's the name of the game after all....NOONE IS SAFE
He's no more horrible than anyone else in Westeros. Murder is the way of their elite, as it is of our own. Always has been. One day, the peasantry will break the cycle instead of allowing it to repeat.
exactly. they had to use some magical autism bird to literally look into the past to put down littlefinger. If anything, that shows just how unstoppable he was. Truly the best charachter in the entire series.
His last conspiracy was quite fickle tbh. Any word from Arya to Sansa about the circumstances of her getting the letter and his whole plan would have been collapsed.
There are actually several good points in this video that can be used without fully embracing cold manipulative path of Littlefinger - do not try to force the others to take your ideas, but just try to "seed the idea" and let them decide themself - do not take offence too seriously, these are only some worthless words - do not let arrogance overcome you and let the others feel involved in the success of your hard work and even receive some of your praise - do not pursue the appearance of success or whatever you would like to achieve, but work hard to get it and ignore everything that distracts you on the way - be patient and wait for opportunities that will definitely appear
Ahmed Harris it doesn't seem so, but Jon is a quite competent man in the matter, he never lets ego win like Sansa does with Robett Glover, he gains respect with his actions and not through manipulating, he always fight in the frontlines with his men increasing their morale, he builds friendship with his counselors and bannermen (ser Davos, Tormund, Lyanna Mormont, Robett Glover, and his veterans after the battle of the Bastards)
I too, believe that the English accent was fake to make himself more respectable in Kings Landing, and that when he no longer needed it, he reverted to his normal accent. On top of that, I like to believe that it's a nod to how mockingbirds are known to be able to imitate other birds' songs at will, like what Baelish had to do in KL.
Not a protag unfortunately, but he is THE most important character in ASOIAF(one could argue Catelyn, Edmure, or Minisa but that's not important right now)
By only watching his face You say that something mischievous is in his mind... Aidan Gillan is so Underrated. He did some fantastic Work as Lord Bailish
I think that little finger didn't make a mistake by telling her he wants to be on the iron throne with her at his side. I think he did that purposefully, because Sansa is a girl who's always dreamed of being the queen, and he knows she still wants that. Its still her dream. So by telling her that that gets her more to his side. I dont even think getting on the iron throne is his final goal. He's telling Sansa just enough to make her come along with him, hes planting seeds to have her fall in love with him. Because his true goal is to create a dynasty that will last forever. Which means he needs a son, and Sansa will be the one to give it to him, the reason its Sansa is because shes the daughter of the only woman hes ever loved. You can tell he doesn't love Sansa, because he still tries to get her to do what he wants for his end goal. But with Catelyn Stark, whenever she asked him to do anything, he would do it. All she would ever need to do is ask him, and he does it, whether it helps his end goal or not.
Great video! IMO Littlefinger is my favorite character in the show, and the ending would be perfect if he were able to come out of no where and get the throne!

Rule number 50, you dont break some of the rules to gaining power and money only, and you have no happiness.
Is this a quote from him? If so, which episode?
Akala references this in his song Absolute Power but it is actually a quote from a renowned historian John Dalberg-Acton who famously said,
Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.
60 Second Success The same applies to Tywin.
Except he isn't a snake. He's a lion.

It's clear now, he is the perfect ruler that Niccolo Machiavelli was talking about :) the one who prefers results more than his pride or his ego, and what's most important - the one who understands that in order to obtain and stay in power, you have to let go of the so called moral code and focus 100% on your main goal.
True , kill my ego focus on my goal 💪💪💪
I felt he had plenty of ego

@Lockjaw noice.
Please do a video about Olena Tyrell/ the queen of thorns because she is the only person apart from Tyrion who can stand up to Tywin, plus she killed jeofrey
Exactmy she can stand up to herself infront of anyone!
And she made Cersei very uncomfortabke whenever she was around her
everyone tried to stand up to Tywin, but noone could stand in the end, except for the dwarf, which is a kind of ironic, because that was the only time Tywin was shi**ing himself.
I wouldn't be surprised if Littlefinger has absolutely no feelings towards Sansa, she's just very valuable piece for Baelish to play with
Littlefinger is finally dead. Arya sliced his throat open! did u see?
Stupidest death. The master manipulator who concocted the greatest scheme Westeros has ever seen never thought of the possibility of Sansa turning on him... It's even worst after his whole speech about thinking of every possible outcome for every possible situation in order to never be caught off guard.
+Antonio Rella
Littlefinger was a master manipulator in King's Landing.
"dont be little finger, its not cool to be a liar or a backstabber."

Cool TA one is Tyrion, 2 is... Uhm, Littlefinger? Idk
His "chaos is a ladder" speech is one of the best I've ever heard, and it makes to much sense when you really think about it. Chaos is a ladder, it only gets more chaotic as you climb higher and higher...
You can thrive in and benefit from other people's chaos but as soon as it's your own you Are most likely going down
You totally predicted his end.
But she didn’t get wise, she had no reason to kill him and he never would of done that if the show didn’t ruin him

Do Tywin Lannister. He was one of the most powerful men alive during his time and a very skilled player of the Game Of Thrones.
Tbh, Cersei (and in turn Joffrey) turned out the way she did due to his bad parenting skills. So yes, Tywin is to blame.
Niccolo Parker tywin - beard = putin
In the books he made it from a little Lord from the fingers to the master of the coin, lord of harrenhal, lord paramount of the trident, lord protector of the vale and I think he is a better player in the books as example that he really controls the three kettleback brothers or how he beat the lords of the declaration
Do a video on this guy called Charisma on Command and analyze how he is able to make people trust his analyses.

Ian M i don't want to be like Littlefinger or Hitler either. that does not change the fact that we should study them.
suncu91 yehh do putin please coz i'll be puttin likes when u do
Something about Putin just screams "alpha" i may not agree with him but i would love an examination if his behavior.
suncu91 The thing is Putin isn't doing anything particularly unique from other politicians besides speak Russian.
*does what Littlefinger does*
Clearly you don't, because Littlefinger wouldn't announce his intentions.
quantumperception why do you think I put it in bold? That's signaling an action, nothing verbal

I'm a slow learner
But I learn
She didn’t learn, DND just told her the answer
In the books it was littlefinger who married sansa to tyrion

Well...
Please do a charisma breakdown on Cersei!
what charisma does she have to breakdown?? she's a bull in a china shop, thats why I love her lol
There's nothing spacial about Cersei
Or her lack of charisma, which results in her being a weaker player in the game than she realizes
randomflashbacks Cersei is smart for one reason.

******SPOILER ALERT*******
I believe that congratulations are in order here.
A video on Tywin would be cool!
Gokia Not really... He doesn't lead/rule with charisma, he relies on bullying, belittling and intimidation.
Boobalopbop That is true, but that doesnt change the fact that he was the most powerful man in Westeros before his death. Even with his intimidation and bullying he came a long way.
Boobalopbop that's = charisma
Gokia didnt he already do a segment on tywinn in the power video?
Tywin Lannister, the Machiavelli of Westeros, but Varys would be more interesting as far a being a master manipulator goes
Please do Tywin, that was Power walking in two feet
Thank you for repeating that the book LF is different than the show's LF. I can't believe the show LF would actually give Sansa away to the Boltons, the book LF will never do so.
For the love of God do a Tywin Lannister video. Love your work you are a outstanding teacher.
Genetix No he was aware of Tyrion's genius he was blinded by the fact that tyrion was a dwarf that killed his wife.
Lord Petyr Baelish, by far most compelling character in my opinion, knowledge is power!
MCShvabo Power is power.
rip
Yeah, fuck that...
Nope, as Cersei said way back and was demonstrated in the season finale, Power is power!
But he was not killed by power, but by an unfortunate demonstration of intellectual superiority that Sansa supposedly possesses.
Teachers: You never learn do you?
Me: I'm a slow learner but I learn

Tywin Lannister, please. The machiavelli of westeros
The Order of the Green Hand made a nice series on him, with this very title.
edi I know, that series is the reason I call Tywin the machiavelli. I just think it would be interesting to see an analysis of tywin from a charisma perspective.
Silvio Silvia Lima I totally agree. It woud be a new perspective on such a great character.

Rewatching his videos in this time that GOT is finished. He's really good at predicting just from analyzing peoples behaviors and skills. Tyrion, Sansa, Little Finger, He was spot on.
This video can be really be used for good. I used some of these strategies unconsciously (before watching this video) to calmly deal with my cousin's abusive and narcissistic/sociopathic ex-boyfriend, in order to protect my cousin.
Keeping your ego in check and not triggering his ego was probably one of the most important things to dealing with such people.
Littlefinger’s methods are effective, it’s just his morals that are flawed.

RIP to the person who orchestrated GOT
"Don't do them because it's not cool"
*-You actually think people who would do what Littlefinger does ACTUALLY CARE what's socially acceptable?*
Beilish is the most brilliant in the series
I really want him to survive and thrive. He is by far one of the smartest cahracters in the game and if the writers kill him for a stupid reason the show will instantly become a cliche were all the "bad" guys die even though they are way smarter than the "good" guys who win.

i wanted to write the exact same thing, then i saw youre comment xD
exactly. they had to use some magical autism bird to literally look into the past to put down littlefinger. If anything, that shows just how unstoppable he was. Truly the best charachter in the entire series.
His last conspiracy was quite fickle tbh. Any word from Arya to Sansa about the circumstances of her getting the letter and his whole plan would have been collapsed.
Using Bran is cheating, though.
There are actually several good points in this video that can be used without fully embracing cold manipulative path of Littlefinger
- do not try to force the others to take your ideas, but just try to "seed the idea" and let them decide themself
- do not take offence too seriously, these are only some worthless words
- do not let arrogance overcome you and let the others feel involved in the success of your hard work and even receive some of your praise
- do not pursue the appearance of success or whatever you would like to achieve, but work hard to get it and ignore everything that distracts you on the way
- be patient and wait for opportunities that will definitely appear
Could you maybe do a video about Harvey Specter's Charisma? just finished the series and i totally love him ^^
Yes, please, do harvey
That's what I was about to post too
I suggested this ages ago. Jessica Pearson too as I don't think I've seen a more dominant female character than her.
Cloudy yessssssssss
omg im currently watching it right on s03 atm. :D do it soon please
It's good to watch GoT analyses again.
You predicted Petyr's end prefectly Charlie well done on the video. It has many useful tips in normal social interaction
Top 3 people I wanted to win:
1) Little Finger
2) Jon Snow
3) Tywin Lannister
Sadly, one's dead.
TheDuckSneezes The most able one out of the three that is
Ahmed Harris it doesn't seem so, but Jon is a quite competent man in the matter, he never lets ego win like Sansa does with Robett Glover, he gains respect with his actions and not through manipulating, he always fight in the frontlines with his men increasing their morale, he builds friendship with his counselors and bannermen (ser Davos, Tormund, Lyanna Mormont, Robett Glover, and his veterans after the battle of the Bastards)
one died in season 4, one died in season 5 (came back to life) and the other is dying the end of season 7...😁
John Snow is a MESS!
+Red Raven Increasing the morale of your men doesn't help when you are leading them into one of Ramsays traps
How the hell has Baelish's accent managed to transform from Eton toff (5:52) to full blown pirate (11:04) over the past 6 seasons without me noticing
He deserved a better death . He was a true protagonist
antagonist*
Not a protag unfortunately, but he is THE most important character in ASOIAF(one could argue Catelyn, Edmure, or Minisa but that's not important right now)
Littlefinger is my favorite character, and knowingly that he might die this Season 7 just really breaks my heart.
It's fiction Wonder Woman, give her a break
Wonder Woman
You shouldn't take other's opinions so personally. It really isn't attractive. Especially when their opinions doesn't affect you.
I am glad he's dead. He's the mastermind of all the chaos between the north and south.
People really like him? He would kill you without a care.
Littlefinger is one of the most interesting characters. Too bad we see so little of him in Season 6!
He's literally the epitome of the 48 laws.
Do Tywin Lannister. Such an amazing character.
13:45 Damn, that prediction was spot on
By only watching his face You say that something mischievous is in his mind...
Damn dude, you were so right about the finishing him off in the end of season 7 :D
"And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"
A Scooby Doo ending if ever there was!
Best character on the show and he always comes out on top. Sansa would be wise to keep him happy.
Great video! IMO Littlefinger is my favorite character in the show, and the ending would be perfect if he were able to come out of no where and get the throne!
My condolences!
YES do a Cersei video! She's the most interesting character in the show.
Tywin Lannister was power incarnate
