  • I've wanted to ride in Aberfoyle (Gravelfoyle) for ages, but the ride didn't quite go to plan. I had a huge mechanical in the middle of the forest, with no phone signal... I love cycling...

It is mind-blowing to me, that people go biking in the woods and don't have at least a multitool for bikes with them. When I bought this tool, I could use it in my second ride. Somebody broke his chain in the middle of the forest (7 km away from his car). I helped him out with the included chain breaker. In one year I had to use it 3 times, 2 of my friends had the same problem. One of the problems that many people forget that a chain is not living forever (especially with MTB and Gravel). A key home tool is to measure chain link stretch. It cost you like 30 Euros. If you chain stretches, it kills your drive train very slowly (very expensive). If you can discover it in time, you can avoid this cost. I new chain is like 45 Euros, a new drive train can cost you like 350 to 1000 Euros, depending on the type. I hope this helps.

wow you pay a lot for your bike parts. But yes, change your chain before it gets too worn and the chainrings and cassette will last for ages.
