Hilarious and well done parody of Tamiya promo video. Excellent ! Congratulation for your 100th video : keep your channel growing with his unbeatable contents ! Merry Christmas, happy new year and happy holiday for you and all your family.
Haha...thanks so much for the nice comment. Was definitely trying to put some comedy into those cheezy videos we have all grown to love! Really appreciate the support!
To the person that commented on the jumps...I was trying to reply and accidentally removed your comment. The reason the jumps are so small is because of the fragility of the cars I run. I would LOVE mx style ramps for all the cars (see my older videos). It just causes too much damage to these vintage machines.
Wow.... what an awesome intro!! Loving the homage to the eighties promo videos, even had VHS effects included in the audio/visuals! 👌 Congratulations on hitting the big 100, and what a car to celebrate with! The trusty Falcon really took that well, and I was amazed that non of the plastics shattered on the jumps, you certainly weren't holding back! It may not have ranked very high, but it deserves a bonus award for getting round in one piece! Awesome video man. 😊 👍 👍 👍
Haha...yes! Wanted to do something a bit special for the intro. Lots of nights spent trying to figure out how to make it look "old". I definitely was not holding back...and was assuming this glass car was going to come back in bits and pieces. Thank goodness it held up ok. Don't think I am going to risk running it again any time soon to be honest. Oem parts are just getting to hard to find. Really appreciate the nice comment and support my friend.
Congratulations on the 100th, another well produced and shot video..the Tamiya comparisons offer considerable insight for many and are a joy to watch, keep ‘em coming.
Congrats on 100! I really enjoy your channel. The cars are awesome, and the consistency of your format, with the track, your mellow presentation and the excellent retro production techniques really makes your channel a nice place to spend some time. Keep up the great work!
That's so very nice of you! Been trying to get a format and familiarity down for a little bit now...while changing things up like cams at the same time. I like mellow...so an occasional WOW! is about my max level...lol. Appreciate the feedback and support.
Nice! Have a few "1st car" comments so far. Love when that happens. My cousin picked up a gold pan around the time I was still knocking my Hornet around. Quite the difference for sure...lol! Appreciate the support.
Great work on 100 videos pal and what a way to celebrate. The Falcon did well to stay in one piece and it was interesting to see how it performed. Here is to the next 100 🙌🏻
Thanks my friend. Was happy I got away with it for sure! Did hairline crack a rear arm...but it's all good. Was worth the price of admission. Appreciate the support as always.
nice opening man! worth every moment hahaha i've found with my new (old) falcon that you motivated me to get, that I have to drive it aggressively to get the best performance out of it. That awful turn radius being the biggest challenge!
I'd be all over a rerelease of this. It's the only Tamiya I remember seeing a friend drive as a kid. An older kid had a Hornet but he didn't want to play with us. Another younger kid later had an Astute but we didn't want to play with him. lol It looks like it was all over the place and I could tell the turning radius was too big. The hard front suspension probably only increased the understeer. I still want one.
I would as well brother. It was more of a controllable handful. Unlike say a Frog that's full on bonkers to drive. My car need a 2ns chance with some fresh rear tires and more turn in for sure. Stay tuned for next year! Appreciate the cool back in the day story and support.
The falcon had its downfalls but was a great car. I need to revisit mine and see what happened to the transmission on our 1/10 buggy shootout. I sure wish they’d rere the falcon.. merry Christmas and happy 100 my friends
Thanks brother. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! It's a great little buggy...that with a few tweaks would be right up there with the other plastic cars.
That was a great intro for the car, the ribbed for your driving pleasure was great. Glad I came across your channel good stuff definitely subbed, much respect from New York brother!
Thanks so much, and we appreciate the sub! Haha...floated a few jokes in there for sure. Appreciate the support and glad to have you along for the ride.
Congrats on the 100th. Im more a Kyosho nut, but I would like to see the Falcon revisited and tune and tweak it a little more. I think she has more to offer than that.
Congrats on 100 awesome videos and this one was no exception, lovely bit of track action! Definitely looked like a bit of a handful at times! Hope you and yours have the very best Christmas and new year!!🤘👍👍
damn, that turned like a brick lol I've always felt it was over-sprung and been searching forever to find better shocks and springs for it, I guess that's why mine is STILL not finished after all these years. still love the Falcon (it was my first) and I'll get mine out to a vintage race day eventually. but in the meantime, awesome job, congrats on your 100th, and let's hope for another 100 videos and maybe your 200th could be live at a track running all these vintage cars at an event one day (I know the perfect track, just gotta convince the owner it would be worthwhile to do lol)
Thanks my friend. Duptruck like steering for sure...lol. Its all good though and was a blast to wheel. Got to get yours up and running someday for sure. Looking fwd to 2024...and hope the chance to turn some laps with you all. Always appreciate it bud.
Congrats on the 100th vid. This was interesting to watch. I guess a softer spring (possibly oil too) should help. I also chuck in a better servo saver. Speaking of which, it looked like you had very little steering, wheels didn’t look like they moved much at all. Can you adjust the endpoints? I was surprised when I first drove my Falcon. First by how composed it was (I own several Hornets/Hoppers) and then by all the cracks that showed up in the susp arms. You did well to keep yours in one piece. Mine has a lot of printed parts on it that I drew up myself. Fun vid and cool track. Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much my friend. Yea...it was full lock from end to end. I even cut back the uprights as much as I was comfortable with...lol. The issue on the deck gets magnified for sure because there was so little grip in the front end (tires and spring). I think on a redo...I would use a softer spring and oil and replace the servo saver for sure. Would also try and add Fox style knuckles as they offer more bend (clearance) from the knuckle to the c hub. Appreciate it and Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much. Another car with a slow result due to lack of steering in my opinion. Was really happy with how it jumped. Felt fairly natural and easy in the air. Appreciate the support.
Fantastic episode and congrats on the 100th. Yes, the turning radius was dramatically apparent. Took skill to get her around👍. Love the disappearing cut at end 😂. The falcon, personally, has never been my favorite. I want to like it i really do but it always reminds me of that girl who sounds smokin hot over the phone but when you see her in real life 😬🫣😂. I just can’t get over the looks of the thing 😂. Hope you and your family have a Rad holiday 🤟
Haha...thanks so much! Was a challenge for sure to get her to rotate around the corners...but that's part of the fun with these old cars. You never know what your are gonna get when it's hammer time!
I enjoy watching your videos but for some reason this one made me a bit motion sick watching it. The full speed video was jerky to me for some reason, almost seemed like strange frame rate issue or something.
@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC seems like this is a current common issue with TH-cam in chrome dropping frames. If you pull up the "stats for nerds" while the video is playing you can see it dropping frames left and right, that is why it looks choppy. I changed a few settings on youtube/chrome and it seems to have helped but playback is perfect in opera browser.
@chaddthompson It looks ok on my end in Firefox. I try really hard to have quality 4k/60fps with the subpar equipment I have...so if it's an issue on my end I need to get it sorted. I do know the one corner cam had a few jitters...but that's actually the cam causing that. I have actually considered shooting at 30fps just to cut down on file size but that gets some ghosting when pausing the videos. Need to take a photography class I think...lol.
"Sturdy ABS plastic..." 😉 Another great video! Happy Holidays!
Haha...thanks for picking up on that...few sarcastic comments in there.
Appreciate it very much.

I was worried already about these jumps you already have. How's those front shock towers doing?
@@Paul__FC All good brother.

Thanks so much my friend. Something about a Tamiya this time of year just feels right. I appreciate the support.

Great work on 100 videos. Classic Falcon just fun and no turning circle 😂
Lol..Yep! Thanks so much as well.
The intro was spot on!
Love the intro. You really captured the '80s TV theme vibe. Nice Job.

Great video! This was my first car! I love this!
Thanks so much! It's a great old buggy and was the 1st for many. Good old days for sure!
First RC car I ever touched. Got it working for brother-in-law, next stop RC10 gold tub. Wish I still had both of them.

Watching wondeeing when the front end would grenade.
Haha...only hairline cracked a rear arm! Still runnable.
Like a lot of Tamiya's from that era, hard tyres & hard shock springs. I remember it well.
I do as well brother. Those were the days!

Now I really have to get on my restoration Falcon build. Found one a few years ago pretty beat up. Been sitting for a few months.
Got to get it fixed up my friend! Great buggies (although a tad fragile) that look fast sitting still. Appreciate it.
One more excellent vid'!
And perfect release date for the 100th ;)
Best wishes! :)
Thanks brother. Many a Falcon were born on Mom and Dads kitchen table this time of year I suspect.
@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC😁True! For me it was a Super Blackfoot... That meant something, 30 years ago!

Yea...was definitely an issue once they wore down...
I've still got one of these. Does anyone know where I can get spare parts from?
Parts are unfortunately getting harder and harder to find. Ebay and local buys are your friends. Also lots of 3d stuff out there if you are in a jam.
I was expecting topforce
Would love a Top Force!
