Expertly said! As a former atheist newly saved by the grace of God, I treasure this eloquent and theologically sound explanation of a dream I feel like I woke up from once I discovered the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am very happily back into the containers from which I belong. Thank you for all that you do for the sake of the gospel.

Right right aha, because the internet and social media has brought nothing but loving conciousness to the world, ahaha. Boundless compassion for one another like Christ teaches is something sorely needed now more than ever.

I breath a biblical sigh of relief listening to this man. So many in my Anglican denomination do not even seem to know, let alone understand the scriptures and orthodox Christianity... not just the folks in the congregation, but the Priests! You may as well be talking to someone from Mars, their biblical and doctrinal understanding is so poor. We truly do live in a world where the error of religious pluralism and universalism find so many sympathetic minds. It's so convenient if you can form a god in the image of one's own accommodating convenience. But what will be it's end? We need more teaching like this. Thank you Sir.

My kids & I were (gently) thrown out of an Anglican church on Easter Sunday by the Masked Zombies running the place.

Anglicanism = very bureacratic Denomination (Church of England) and they tend to rigidly follow human under-shepherds, while igniring Jesus the only True Shepherd !
They're far from alone in this - Gods Spirit is testing us NOW to see who resists the Devil (he MUST flee) and who opens the door wide to him.

If you do not allow for more than one opinion, more than one path to salvation, more than one way to truth and meaning, then you are at the whims of one one man, one dogma, the very basis of cult.

    • @vladtheimpala5532
      @vladtheimpala5532 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheZebulonPike
You are mistaken. Opinions are just that. They are not truth. Truth is not relative. There is only one truth and one path to salvation. That path is:
*_That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved._*
*_For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation._*
      Romans 10:9 & 10 KJV
True Christians do follow one man. That man is Jesus Christ who always did the will of God, his father, not his own. When Jesus Christ taught, he was teaching the word of God. He wasn’t giving his opinion or indulging his ego. Since he followed his father, God, to follow him is to follow God. We follow other men only to the extent that those men follow Jesus Christ. Hence we are not following men but God.
There are many men from whom we can learn many valuable things but there’s only one path to salvation and that is the path of Christ.
We can have many opinions on many things but some things are not matters of opinion. Some things are either true or untrue. Individualism is fine as long as it’s subject to the truth of the Word of God.
If we choose to follow one man or multiple men, and that man or those men follow their own will and not the will of God, that’s when we are following a cult. If we choose to follow our hearts, our own opinions, our own will and not the will of God, then we are following a cult of one. Either way, we are following, worshipping and serving the creature more than the creator and that’s idolatry.
I acknowledge that this comment is long. It was originally much longer because I went on to explain other things. I cut it down because maybe you’re not interested. If you are interested I can expand. I can tell you what salvation is, why we need it, how Adam lost it, how Jesus Christ is the second Adam and more. I think it’s interesting and glorious but maybe you don’t so I won’t go on unless you ask. My main purpose in writing this was to tell you that there is only one truth and one path to salvation which is available to anyone who wants it. I think I have accomplished that. It’s up to you whether or not you want to accept it and whether or not you want to know more.

I'm genuinely grateful for him, but I can't see the good reason behind holding to YEC come hell or high water, despite the scholarly consensus that the earth is old. It seems like he is trying hard to shoehorn that narrative on to reality. I shoehorn my narrative too at times, but if I buck the scholarly trend, I will admit it. But I won't claim everyone must accept my minority position on a tertiary issue or else risk ineffectiveness in confronting the cultural madness around us.

I need to confess something. I am cut from the same cloth as some of you guys. Years and years studying Philosophy... multiple degrees... a promising professorial future... endless nights pouring over the works of VT and other reformed giants... all of it. ALL of it. I don't relate well to many people. I come here for solace (which is why I'm really on edge about the possibility you're heretical on justification.... sigh). Anyway, all of this is to say (and God forgive me for the arrogance this reeks of) I rarely ever hear something here that I haven't said, written, thought, in one form or another, elsewhere. There is no way to avoid how that sounds, I own it. But if you know. then you know, and I think you get it. We hail from the same intellectual lineage and thus have connected a lot of the same dots. Or, better said, God has been gracious to us in some similar ways. K?
    HOWEVER...
You BLINDSIDED me with the point about the ETHICAL/METAPHYSICAL nature of the scarification thing. I had always cashed it out as an AESTHETIC thing (no doubt with spiritual, and thus ethical causes/roots, to be sure).
I mean even the point about the rebellion against the idea of "natures"/kinds is one I have tread and retread in my mind... but something about the way you identified scarification as an assertive act of creator-status... that angle on it... man I'm not saying any of this right... That hit hard man. REALLY well said. I am reeling.

"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." John 17:3
There is hope and love that is found in the midst of the chaos of this world. It is found in knowing Him. We must be careful to not just deliver dogmatic doctrine void of Agape love because that is not True doctrine. "Fundamental" doctrine without love at the heart is a resounding gong to the ears of the lost and is in actuality false doctrine because it is not the heart of God who came to seek and save the lost. God so loved the world that he sent His one and only Son to die for us and the tattooed, nose-pierced, crazy-haired kids in need of a Savior and in many cases have been found and know the Savior.
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven;..." - Jesus

seems that if we don't believe that GOD is the creator, like He explained in Genesis, but rather we believe in evolution, then the resurrection of Christ in a new body, the promise that we will receive glorified bodies, and the promise of a new heaven and knew earth, are highly improbable if not impossible. If GOD did not create Adam instantly, then i have no reason to expect that God has the ability to transform us in a blink of an eye; if God didn't create the universe in six days, but rather in billions of years, then i have little reason to believe that in ONE DAY the new Jerusalem will descend from heaven. If GOD is not the creator as He said, then much of the Bible is a compilation of unsupported stories of grandeur. Of course the alternative secular theories are even more untenable.

may i ask what would be the harm in having the Word of God tattooed on your body? it would provoke conversation about the Gospel, possibly offend those who hate Christ, and would be an external declaration of the Lord’s words on your body for as long as you live.

The authority of God is rejected, the authority of man is erected and then any semblance of God is erased being morality, normalcy, heterosexuality. For man's debauchery.

Doug, I appreciate your direct, faithful messages. It is a stern voice of reason that speaks to my heart, mind, and soul.
There is one subject that I would love to learn more about that I can’t reconcile with the collective worldview. You assert that creation is a few thousand years olds. Cosmologists-to my knowledge-mostly agree that the evidence we see in creation suggests an age in the billions. This is deduced by the observation of background microwave radiation as well as the expansion rate of the universe.
What are your reasons for rejecting these as unreliable factor for estimating Creations age?

If you're at all honest, you should spend 100 hours on the Answers page of the website Answers in Genesis. Truth is not a consensus. Science is on the side of the young earth creationists (heliocentric, flat earth denying)
