How well does this compare to the Associated's 2018 Reflex series? I'm looking at getting the 14B (buggy). Just want something that's great in backyards and at small parks. Apparently this is cheaper than AE's Reflex vehicles.
The LC has superior parts than the AE 14s. I have both plus the Losi. I spent about $200 in upgrades on the AE and the chassis is still plastic. The Mini8 has the best parts support.

Not being sarcastic but why one someone choose this over the Losi are the TA Flex T? Seems a lot safer going with a company you know you can get parts from?
M8T electronics (minus radio) and rod ends are crap ..this seems superior.. BUT.. how important is part support / aftermarket upgrades? M8T superior there.
I have a mini 8ight DB. The ESC and motor were fried on 3s within the first run. Swapped the motor to a Velineon 380, Castle Sidewinder 3, changed the servo to a metal gear high speed savox and the receiver to a 2 channel DSMR spectrum. After that I chewed up the spur so I switched to a hot racing steel spur and I had to dimple the motors shaft to keep the pinion from slipping. After that all the dogbone driveshafts turned into pretzels. Switched to CVDs and it's been golden. I did a bunch of other hop ups, but mainly because I got them cheap and it is always fun to tinker. The thing is a beast! (For such a tiny RC). Initially I was really disappointed with it, but after all my mods, it's one of my favorites. Traction roll is it's only issue. Otherwise it's insanely controllable. Seeing this video, this little truggy looks like it would be very close to what I built, but bone stock. That's impressive. Very cool.
I’ve owned two of the LC racing cars and I can’t recommend any other mini besides it. I also owned the vaterra kalahari. It’s very powerful, handles great, is very durable, and has good parts support. only upgrades I recommend are a 60 amp hobbywing esc, and yellow marked springs for the rear. For extras pick up an extra wing mount, a set of spindles, and turnbuckles. Casterracing.mi has tons of spares and ship quickly.
I have the buggy version for a few years now, apart from wearing out a servo and some tires, it's been great so far.
I have the EMB-1 Buggy from LC Racing, I jumped it a LOT and very steep, and i only lost screws yet. no brakages at all.

Wondering the same thing. Though, also on my plans would be upgrades. I like to upgrade everything I get, so parts availability is important too.
