Don’t you need to keep the rubber seals on the bolts that retain the coil pack mount plate to stop oil leaks? Apologies, never worked on a 170 engine so they may not have rubber seals (just assumed that’s why you needed the pliers to pull the bolts off at the beginning). Rob.
