Love it, still got my Peugeot 406, got it for my birthday in 98 or 99. Came with the 4wd shaft drive. Also got the volvo ff one aswell i bought that about 10 years ago.
very cool, only thing i would’ve done different was ditch all the self tapping screws, for the new plastic, and use an m3 tap, pre-tap all the holes, and use aluminum or titanium machined screws. splitting holes wouldn’t be an issue down the road. maybe next time!
I just acquired an FF01 in decent shape (the chassis is alright the body is pretty jacked up) from a work associate. I really have no use for it. I might have to throw it on eBay for somebody like yourself looking for parts.
Not that I am aware of. The xv01 is way newer with the belt drive. Im guessing parts are hard to find for it as well. Mine is broken in need of some bits.
Nice to see aftermarket parts for the FF01 as OEM parts are hard to find and expensive. In your opinion, compared to the original one (ABS plastic) how is the durability of the AMPRO version? Thanks🙂
The filament prints are not quite as durable as the original in my opinion. I’m planning on getting an mjf print of these which will be much more solid.
Love this Tamiya content! Especially the early 90s touring cars.
i LOVE AL from Ampro he is amazing

Great video! Where to get these items already printed now that Shapeways went belly up?
Good question! I was hanging out with mr ampro this weekend and something is in the works.
@@RCeveryday thanks! I messaged him but no reply then I found your video hoping I can get a lead.
It’s taken a bit for all the guys who relied on shapeways to get a plan together. I don’t know the timeline yet but it seems close
@@RCeveryday can we still purchase the files and I will try to source somewhere local to print ? Exact same one you had in this video (no fan )
