For many years Cap figures came but I always said nothing beats the Face Off Cap. My entire Toybiz collection has slowly been replaced by Hasbro but nothing could replace my Face Off Cap. Then this guy came... Now I'm afraid. Ive had an attachment to my Face Off Cap and never thought Hasbro could beat it but damn.
I feel your pain man! I was in the same boat.
Hasbro can top Cap, but they can never top my Sinister 6 Boxed Set ToyBiz Spider-man and Venom.
Idk, the lighter blue and better shield make me still like the Face-Off Cap a little more. If Face Off Cap had ankle pivot, he would be perfect. I don't even mind the weird traps on the Face-Off Cap.

When I got the retro Cap, I was like: why are they throwing the shield left handed..but with their right hand? Then realized it's a backhanded throw. Makes a lot more sense that way; cause if it was swooshing the other direction, it'd be like a frisbee.
Best Captain America figure! Equal to the Face Off Cap. I always wanted a Cap Figure in the Old Glory colors.
Absolutely magic figure! Hasbro's done an incredible job with the 80yrs line. ...Will we get an 80yrs Alex Ross Spidey by any chance??
We need a more ditko style and Romita At style ones before that.

This Cap and the Iron Man are a Must ... Thor looks just ok but I might ended up picking him up just to complete this trio!

Big FIVE, bro! Hulk needs in there, with Ant Man and the Wasp! 😁 Cap was a later addition, in the comics.

At least this one seems to be an improvement on the Onslaught wave Wolf Captain America, I like how the chain mail sculpt does not inhibit the arm articulation going out to the side cuz the older Onslaught wave Cap’s shoulders get all chewed up because of that, I’ve even seen some ppl’s break at the bicep peg because of that
I mainly collect hasbro movie figures but kinda want to pick this up along with the other 2 members of the trinity just to have their comic counterparts.
The first head is based on the “realistic” Alex Ross art, whereas the second head resembles more cartoony/stylized artwork which to me looks specifically based on Jack Kirby’s Captain America? Not sure tho

Ok, I definitely feel it's time for a who done it better review on Cap now that most of the major companies have a definitive cap out there

A Steve Rodgers head sculp with a pulled back mask sculp would have been nice along with the saluting hand and the pointing finger hand from the Capt wolf figure and the alternate head sculp should have had his teeth grinning with his blonde eyebrows showing through the mask also he should've had two removable belts with the alternate belt being the same as the Face-Off Captain America or modern look.
I'm just gonna give this guy the shield from my "Civil War" Cap.
Yellowjacket for real though, I hate the whole clip thing with the recent Cap shields, they always break and they don’t even stay on well.

I had recently bought a MCU cap shield and he looks great than what he came with . its slightly larger . Great review .

I honestly think this is still the best. He has better articulation than the 20th, better headsculpt, his shield is not perforated, and I just enjoy the colors on this better, the metalic paint on the scales is beautiful. Also prefer the shield throw effect over the other accesories since they mess up the shield.
Blue just kills it for me. And the heads. I really wish I had a cap that was appealing to me.

The alternate head is considerably more cartoon style. To me they give totally different looks.
I use my Walmart exclusive worthy Captain unmarked head with my 80s captain America and it looks pretty good
I repainted my Cap's star.. really can't accept a paint defect on it :)

Incredible review man, very detailed and professional! I would've liked to see a comparison with the cap wolf amongst the other figures in the comparison segment, but other than that, keep up the great work brother!!!
To be fair to the shield, it's comic accurate where it really was just a star and stripes painted on a flat-surfaced, domed disk of steel-vibranium. Comics Cap shield doesn't have any sculpted lines or anything on top or even underneath, the exception of adjustable straps bolted to it.
Ugh, I'm still waiting for mine. I told Wal-Mart not to cancel even if it's late, Hopefully it ships eventually. But yea, this is great.
Can't wait to put the straps on him from my 3-pack Cap (Ms. Marvel/Radioactive Man)
I can't get one because in my area scalpers post up at the stores while everyone else is at work and buy up all the stock for resale .
Bro im pissed. I bought the iron man at walmart but there was about 4 caps. I didnt know he was an exclusive. I found out the next day and ran to walmart only to find all caps gone.

Hasbro could’ve added the a lower ab crunch so it doesn’t break apart the sculpt and have the top part on a ball joint like they did with the 12 inch marvel legends and that would’ve allowed for better sculpting on the abs and sides

I think the rubber overlay is to prevent the ribcage from damaging the paint on the abs.

If you heat up the Mezco Steve Rogers head, it fits on this body
I love this figure, but I do agree the shield is a bit too small and the alternate head is a bit bland. Otherwise this is an amazing figure overall!
Even though the 20th cap is the best cap in my opinion I would still sell it much faster than I would the face off cap
I wish this came with a butterfly joint
I just want a cap with butterfly joints, is that too much to ask :( Aside from that, amazing figure, he's the best cap we've gotten so far and I'm glad I snagged one when I got the chance

I've got all 3 mezco cap's and to be honest for a fraction of the price this pisses all over them..granted the Mezco's come with more accessories which doesn't really bother me anyway but for price..articulation and durability this figure is unbeatable..well, in my opinion anyway.

It's a different head sculpt then the vintage version.
The difference is in the A on his mask for the extra heads. 😜
