Excellent piece I like contrasting wood
Thank you maxfli...🙏
The average viewer looked at the end result. The woodturners looked at the table saw stop block, the angled drop away for the segments that allow quick production without kickback, the alternating flipping after each cut, the homemade two screw and bolt system for the glue drying press, the skilled use of only a rounded carbide even when roughing!, the premade flat bottom that did not rely on tooling, the odd looking skew, the use of a square block on the tail stock and the lack of sanding and the simple but elegant finish. Which likely is just a food grade oil? My only real questions are. What were the lengths of your 45 degree segments per ring? Also what was the width of your divider shims? There is so much beauty and knowledge in this video beyond what the bowl looks like. Thank you!
Thank you very much for the suggestions, criticisms and input, yes it is true I realized long before that I reversed only with carbide, but for now, that's all I can do, using a bowl gouge is not easy, I reversed in less than 1 year and still have a lot to do learning, I still have a lot to learn about turning wood, but most importantly I can produce a masterpiece and can entertain many people with my videos, 11cm long and 4cm wide per ring, with an initial diameter of 28cm
@@mayukowoodturning7644 you misunderstand. I was not criticizing. I was complimenting. Lots of men have big garages and expensive tools and they cannot create half of what you make. I was expressing admiration at your ingenuity.
@@The_Conqueeftador ooh thank you very much for your compliment, sorry I misunderstood because sometimes google translate makes me misinterpret sentences, I am happy and enjoy this work, greetings from Indonesia.. 🙏🙏
@@mayukowoodturning7644 I was asking about just the trapzoid shaped segments. They had to increase in length for each ring correct? That is why your rings get bigger and bigger. I was asking How much length did you add to the individual trapzoids per ring. Was there a formula?...Example: 1inch -> 1.5 inch-> 2 inch-> 2.5 inch, etc. etc.
@@The_Conqueeftador Yes, that's right, it will definitely make the ring bigger, the initial length of each segment is 11 cm and the final result is 9 cm, the initial width is 4 cm and the final result is 1 cm, the initial diameter is 28 cm and the end result is 26 cm.
Wow what a beautiful piece.
Thank you..🙏

Hello Sir. Beautiful bowl. Can you please tell me more about the chisel you are using. It seems as this one of yours is much easier to use than the traditional bowl gouge.
Thank you, I always use carbide inserts, besides being easy to use, they are also easy to sharpen
Appreciate. Best wishes
Thank you 🙏🙏
Spettacolare..... che legni hai usato???? Superrr
Hi.
Non english speaker here.
Thanks for the video !
I was wondering what kind of WAX you were using ?
Thanks a lot !
I use beeswax
@@mayukowoodturning7644 Thanks for the quick reply !
Is it just "wax made by bees" or is "Beeswax" an actual brand name?
Thanks again
@@janoaumeras8983 Try looking at the market where "beeswax" is made from beehives, why do I use beeswax because it is safe for food
@@mayukowoodturning7644 Perfect, that's what I thought!
Thanks again and great work.
Inspiring
@@janoaumeras8983 you're welcome, thank you too jano.. 🙏
Que virgueria.
Wow! What a piece. Can I ask….how much longer do you cut the individual segments as you go up? Is it a set amount or eyeballing?
It doesn't take long to cut individual segments, approximately 2 hour and the number of segments has been determined
Elegant!
Thanks..,🙏
Nice job what kind of chuck you use?
Thank you Javier, I don't know much about the types of chucks, I found this item in the market place in my country, and I am suitable to use the chuck

hi mayuko i want to ask how many degrees the angle of inclination for the cut is. Thank you for the knowledge. Warm greetings from Indonesia
Hello also mas jabrik, I use a 45 degree angle using 8 pieces of wood for each ring, I'm from Indonesia too, greetings to a hobbyist

What jig did you use to cut those? Do you have plans?
I made it myself with the desired angle
Is that angle always 15%
For 8 pieces of segment using an angle of 45 degrees
Nice bowl by the way. Have you used Australian jarrah?
@@petermcilroy3224 I don't know australian jarrah, what kind of wood is it? Or maybe it's here with a different name
No it’s only in Australia it’s getting very hard to get. I’ll see if I can get some. If I get some I’ll find out how to send it
