I bought mine through a friend in Cabarete and sold it on fb marketplace.
Can’t wait to go back to DR. I need to have the nerves to venture out like you guys are doing, good stuff. How much was the motorcycle rental ?

Not at all. As long as you stick the a few general safety rules such as: never ride at night, always wear a helmet (unlike me😂), pay attention to the road and other drivers, never drink and drive then you should be fine. Most of all try to relax and you're going to have an amazing time!
