We so enjoyed Portugal when we visited. Our Westie is approaching 13 years doing well. As he developed arthritis in a front leg he has been receiving an injection monthly which helps immensely. And yes he is spoiled. What a delightful apartment.
Like you, I would have been concerned about safety on the balcony before installing the security panels. I have a 4 year old Westie so I would have taken the same precautions that you did. I have been concerned about Gus jumping on and off the bed so I’m going to check out those stairs. Thanks! Sami is adorable. One can tell that you have spent a lot of time with him teaching him good manners and cute tricks. And he obviously loves you for it. ❤
Those stairs are always good for doggos, I think we first got them when Sami was around 4 also. Aww, thanks so much, it wasn't easy teaching him all this, but it certainly pays off because life with him is so easy and we understand each other ❤️
Just love watching Sami! We have a Westie female named Chloe, and we love the Westie breed very much! Just a thought, maybe try the same kind of steps, just like the bedroom steps, for in your living room, since Sami seems to prefer that kind by consistently using them in the bedroom.

We’re going to be adopting a six-year-old Westie named Gypsy! I loved seeing your city and have been dreaming of moving to Portugal for a very long time. Please tell me what you do that you’re able to work from home and how you were able to move there. There are a lot of good reasons to move away from the US now.
Wow, what a cute family! With two Scotties and soon two Westies, that's a power team! 😍 Portugal is a great place to live and if you are able to move here you will love it. We've been moving around quite a lot and thankfully we can do that because we both run our own online businesses so we can work from anywhere.
I love Sammy. I would like to see more of where in the city you take him, and the city in general. In my city when I was a girl there more churches with bells. Some wood ring At 8, 12, 4 and 8:00. They also ring for special occasions, like when President Kennedy was assassinated. Some played chimes at Christmas and Easter. I really enjoy your show. I have 4 Wedgies myself. They have big and different personalities.

When I had an apartment with a balcony like that, my westie could fit her head through but not her body. We were on the first floor though so I wasn’t too worried about her going through it. Haha
Yeah, most Westies I've met have a wide chest and shoulders. Sami is very thin, like a cat 😅 I think his shoulders are as narrow as his head, and one time on vacation he was able to fit through bars like these (luckily we were on the roof, so we grabbed him and pulled him back before he could reach the edge).
Yes, so far he has lived in 3 apartments, one house and a sailboat for 4 months! Plus countless travels to 12 countries so far 😅 He has stayed in many hotel rooms, airbnbs (one time we spent a whole month in NYC) so I think for him it's normal, he doesn't act differently. As long as we are there and our stuff is there, he seems very relaxed ❤️
