I made an Izzet variant of this deck the moment Amonkhet Remastered came out. I based it on your old one from a couple years ago, but its very satisfying to see that in this one you used the emry-stonecoil synergy like I did. Might give this variant a go now. It's really cool how long you've been making such enjoyable magic videos.
Really nice video with some great combos I hadn't thought of on both sides of the board. Combat celebrant was a phenomenally spicy touch that paid off a lot! :)
I played this deck a lot when it was in Standard. Angel of Invention was a great reanimate target that's not on Arena yet. Although, Drakuseth might be better.
@@LegenVD I wonder if "Kaladesh Remastered" comes during the next pre rotation summer, or if the holdup on Amonket was they needed the client to figure out cycling and escape.
@@joesullivan7940 If my memory serves me correctly, the original Amonket also was available on Arena, whe Arena itself was released. And some (all?) cards from Kaladesh block were there too before they rotated out.

I'm not so much against AKR or JumpStart (as an eternal queue, even) but I really hate the way they handled both of the recent releases. Nevertheless, given that folks finally have figured a way to manage this difficult F2P system in Standard, my cynical side thinks these two releases back to back are intended to be a way to bleed free and pay resources and encourage spending (with a format they hadn't even intended.)

I have found that adding Archon of Sun's Grace and Birth of Meletis and other enchantments, like the white and black Alseid with some Mire's Grasp/Deadweight can beef it up. This can make the deck enchantment heavy but I've had good results with it. Archon of Sun's Grace can trigger on Griffin Aerie and that can trigger on a Archon swing which can quickly give you an army of 2/2 fliers.

In Match 4 when the opponent was in topdeck mode he couldn't have won even when drawing "Presence of Gond" because his "Famished Paladins" were tapped and wouldn't untap cause he couldn't play another creature to gain life. Or am I missing something here?
Knowing which cards are in the format helps. Having played with this set when it originally released also gives me a head start, as some interactions were around in Standard. Otherwise it's a lot of time spent in the deck builder, making sure I didn't miss anything that could fit.
Hitting creatures is really important (especially with how good aggro is in Historic). Bigger body and evasion not important once you're spitting out 4/4s.
Necromancy For Kids Game 1. Could have blocked with the supplier. Chose to let damage through then pay to sacrifice the supplier on his turn. Would have been better to block, let supplier die and mill. No biggie.

Phyrexian Tower grants him 2 additional mana from the sacrifice (a net 1 mana because the tower taps) which enabled him to play Emry, Secretkeeper's adventure, and activate the Gate, in addition to Stitcher's mill, all in one turn. Life is a resource to be spent, and letting the damage through gave him a huge value turn that functionally won him the game. Brain Maggot wasn't a sacrifice option because it would return Collected Company to the opponent's hand, which is a key card for their deck.
Did they need Chance for Glory outside of drawing a card? Land, Broodmoth and another Sideways Monkey would've done it regardless of an extra turn, no?

That game three is pretty much my normal luck. I dunno how you can build all these wacky combo decks, cuz the'd definitely play like game three for me. :D

I did the Sultai version, for the Glowspores and Fiends... have to try this one. Why 2 Gifts? I just play one, the Gates look very fool-proof...

Hitting creatures is really important (especially with how good aggro is in Historic). Bigger body and evasion not important once you're spitting out 4/4s.
