Several years ago I made an effort to learn prayers in Latin. Now I always say the Our Father in Latin. ❤
That’s awesome! 😊👍🏼
I've just learned the Hail Mary in Latin 🙏

I learned to pray the rosary in Latin and I know the Devil hates it
TLM is AWESOME !👍💪🙏⛪
During lockdowns I learned to pray my daily Rosary in Latin after learning that the diabolical hate the Latin language.
Admittedly It did not come easily. But day by day, prayer by prayer I learned it. Now it comes as naturally as English. Most definitely a worthwhile time spent during a horrendous period.
❤
@@sheiladumigan451I did the same thing during the lockdowns. Ora pro nobis.
Good for you! That really is awesome! I wish I would have done that!!! Way to go! 😊
@@wendypicou8503 never too late....even start by praying the Sign of the Cross in Latin....several YT videos are great tutorials here...thank you for your kind comment.
I did same. Now It just rolls out the tongue
In today's world! Satan replaced Latin with Arabic and replaced Roman empire with Islam.
There's still more Christians than Muslims. We are doing it to ourselves by the sterilising dogmas of casual sex, birth control, abortions and "you're to young to have a family, you need to go and have fun until you're 35 and practically barren".
Interesting observation
I agree
You do realize... that our Lord and Savior spoke Arabic...

There is a resurgence of interest in Latin lately that is very noticeable. I’m trying to brush up my Church Latin as well as my classical Latin. And I don’t believe in coincidences. Deo gratias.
TLM is AWESOME. Traditional Tridentin Latin Mass is AWESOME !👍💪🙏⛪
I agree with the point about technologies. Get your cell phones and computers blessed and devote them in service to Christ.
Amen. Sometimes the priest will look at you funny, but remind them that evil can work through these devices.
Wow!! That’s a great idea!! 🥰
Yes. We can use them to preach the gospel. There is a lot of atheist comments under christian videos. We have to help those guys to find Jesus
Together with my husband we learned to pray the rosary in Latin and we pray it every day 🙏🧡
Pray for me and my wife to do that someday. When we get back together.

Did anyone actually listen to the Lord’s model prayer???? Never mind ignore Paul’s words about NOTHING can separate you from the LOVE OF CHRIST! Not language, not the times, nor powers or principalities.
We have a wonderful priest who sings the Salve Regina after daily mass.
My son is attending a Classical Catholic School in Brazil, we moved back to Brazil because we couldn't afford a private catholic school for him. He speaks in Latin with his peers in classroom and pray in Latin.... He's learning Latin since he was 5 years old. Now he speaks Portuguese, Latin and English. God Bless America, God Bless Brazil, God Bless the World. "Soli Deo Gloria".
Sou do Brasil
Deus abençoe vocês 🙏 em nome de Cristo Jesus
But aren’t Catholic schools in Brazil also expensive? Just a question
@@liang5876 we have a very catholic schools. The most important for me have a name the São Miguel arcanjo. And Nossa Senhora das dores.
And these schools we are expensive, vir they are so beautifull schools 😱😱 very beautifull !
@@liang5876 Well, compared to the same type of schools in America, the Classical School where my son is attending is a bargain.
We can afford without having to sell an arm and a leg.
It's not cheap, but it's more affordable.
@@Alterandoaconta I'm from Brazil and I attended in a Catholic school. They didn't care much about the faith. The religion class was all about ecumenism and there were only a few occasional masses
Pater Noster! Ave Maria! Amen! ✝️❤️
Thank you for sharing this, Alvaro.
At night, I always leave my tv on tuned in to a Gregorian chant in Latin (24/7) also found here on youtube. I can’t explain the immense feeling when you wake up first thing in the morning. It’s an overwhelming feeling knowing you are protected by the Almighty Father Jesus Christ Himself. ♥️🙏
I would do that on mobile for electricity saving but okay😂
Thanks for the info. I never realized it that way! I made a commitment to learn all my prayers in Latin a year ago. Since then, the only time I say my prayers in English or Spanish is at Mass or in a prayer group. Start small with the sign of the cross, then Hail Mary, etc etc.
Give a thumbs up in support! 👍
I have no problem with Latin.
I’ll try my best to learn Latin! I’ve always wanted to but I’m not very good at other languages 🫣 I’ll pray for His Grace 🕊️ Thanks Alvaro for the inspiration ♥️
Look the prayer you want to learn up on youtube. There are videos to learn just about any prayer you want to learn
@@dafender Thank you! I will do that!!! 😊
Great argument. I do love Latin. Great ideas.
PREACH BROOOOOO WHAT A MESSAGE.
By Easter 2021, I taught myself the entire Rosary in Latin. It seemed to be very important, and was. Praying the Rosary in Latin changed me internally for the better. Within 3 months, I found the TLM near my home and returned to attending for the first time in 41 years, and the first time ever in Latin. This is home.
'let me tell you about demons... BUT first give me money!"
what did Paul say to Simon about this?
Great point... ❤
Wonderful!!!
Awesome!!! I will remember this every time I pray in Latin now. As an Italian, I have been wondering why Jesus chose the Latin language. I was thinking along the lines of His Mercy, how He is showing His love, mercy and forgiveness towards those who performed the Deicide. But what you said is even better!
Wasn’t it Pope ST JPII who said to use the media for God’s Glory? Or Benedict? We are all grateful you answered the call, Alvaro!
Guarda che Gesù non ha scelto il latino. Le preghiere e i vangeli sono stati tradotti in latino.
Just today I told my daughter I always wanted to speak the Latin language abd now I will take that seriously. Thanks
We try to add Latin into our prayers. Listen to Gregorian Chant too. I put it on the TV. That and Adoration. My TV has a purpose now bc I stopped watching it. God Bless You🙏🏻♥️🌹🕯
I listen to Gregorian chants just about every night when I go to bed to remind me what the devil hates because Latin was his and now it is God's. Listening to Gregorian chants or hearing the Rosary in Latin is beautiful and amazing. So let us, as Catholics, listen to Gregorian chants everyday and be taken away by the majesty and simplicity of language that now belongs to God and his Church.
@@ericmadsen7470 Amen
@@ericmadsen7470I especially love Harpa Dei Gregorian Chant. They do the Rosary in chant as well.
Over the past year I've learned to pray every prayer in the rosary in Latin. Working on the Memorare and prayer to St Joseph next as I like to say these after each rosary
Latin is the language of love.
Pls explain..
"Melle dulcior tu es"
Always pray the rosary in Latin. Learned a while back and it just hits different.
I completely agree with you! Thanks, Alvaro🙏🙏🙏
3:47 the early language of the Christian Church was Koine Greek. Latin became the liturgical standard in 380, but even churches in Southern Italy continued saying Mass in Greek until 1053 when it was banned. This resulted in the Great Schism in 1054. IMO the
language publicaly used by Christ was Aramaic. It is very likely that the Our Father was first said in Aramaic.
I grew up with the Latin Tridentine Mass and sadly my Catholic Church changed from the Latin to the Novus Ordo. Well, I knew something was very wrong and we stopped going to mass. Later on I was blessed to find the SSPX and go to the Latin Tridentine Mass again.
Is SSPX schismatic?
Perhaps the answer is the intent. Loving TLM is neither sinful nor schismatic. Attending SSPX with a prideful superiority, a withdrawal of financial support for the local bishop and a disregard for more convenient TLM alternatives may cross the line.
No, they are not schismatic. As a matter of fact, Pope Francis even gave them full faculties. There is nothing invalid in regards to the SSPX.
I suggest you find a chapel near you and go see for yourself. Twenty three years ago I drove 1 1/2 hr one way to check out the SSPX and I started going every week. I drove that 1 1/2 hrs one way for 9 years.
Now I live within a couple of miles of a chapel. It transformed my life and the life of my family.
Amen.
Also the Roman Empire was tiny compared to China. In fact they cared so little for what was going on in Europe that when the Portuguese tried to trade the secrets of navigation and sail in the Age of Discoveries the eunuchs addressed them in Latin because they literally thought they were from Rome, which was already dead a thousand years at that point in everything but the Catholic Church.
The West was an utter irrelevance to China, they had literally nothing the Chinese wanted except gold and silver and the occasional clock eventually. China on the other hand had highly desirable silk, porcelain, spices, precious paper and tea. All traded (except probably tea) with Europe as far back as Rome.
They also had around the 1400s fleets and ships that made the Europeans seem laughable. At it's height the treasure fleet had 3500 vessels and ships nearly 400 feet long!
By comparison the US Navy _today_ has 475 ships and Christopher Columbus's ships were 50-70 feet long.
Though arguably European navigation was superior.
But by 1525 the Treasure Fleet was scrapped, because the nobles realised that free trade would create such wealth in the merchant classes as to completely destroy their power. And indeed this is what happened in the West as the Age of Discoveries gave way to the Renaissance and the Industrial revolution, completely stripping the royalty and nobility of their power. Tyrants hate free trade as it makes them totally irrelevant by making the middle class richer than they are. Which is why government today so beleaguers trade, and why tyranny is always more impoverished than freedom.
One of my best most insightful videos from you alvaro. Truly enlightening and thought provoking.
I entered this video in order to post a comment correcting any errors I thought he would inevitably make, but I got a totally different thing as to what I expected, I understand and love the message, although I don't agree with the Catholic doctrine, I know truth when I see truth, this was honestly a nice video, God bless you 😊

Whoa...what a great perspective. Keep it up sir!
While I love Latin, I am an Eastern Catholic (Maronite) I am proud to pray in the language of Jesus: Aramaic. So while Latin is beautiful, each sui iuris (autonomous) Church uses a unique Liturgical Language, Liturgy and Traditions.
You have a point. Once a language is dedicated unto YHWH, that language is sacred. Examples are Ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, Koine Greek and even Latin to a certain degree. I remember years ago when I first heard the chant of the Knights Templar in Latin, it moved me to tears.
Great message! Thank you, I always enjoy your videos.
This is excellent!! Thank you for educating us!

Thank you, Alvaro, for this additional reason to love Latin. (besides that it is a language inscribed on the Holy Cross): I had an inspiration to learn how, to say the Rosary in Latin a few years ago, and now it is 2nd nature. I also do chant in Latin which I love.

Exorcist say they hate it.

Church: Hold my wine.
Wow well said !! Clap Clap Clap
Well done , Brother ! Perhaps it wasn't a coincidence that I wound up in Latin classes in high school. I surely did not sign up for it but there I was !
Well put.
I learned to pray the rosary in Latin before COVID. I can pray it in 4 languages now...top is Latin then my mother tongue.
This is exactly the reason which many exorcists give when they discuss how the devil loathes Latin…that languages crushes the demons….time to remind many of our senior prelates in Rome about this sobering fact, no ?
All these ancient languages are way more powerfull then the simplified modern ones
God bless you
latin mass even better
The Aztec Empire was around approximately from1300-1521AD. Fun fact: Oxford University is older than the Aztec Empire.
I've always struggled with languages, but am stubbornly trying to learn some of my prayers in Latin
Hi, italian Catholic here,I have to disagree with you on this one, for a few simple reasons:
The pagan temples were not taken by the Christians and made for Jesus, their structure was not usable for christian cerimonies,(which were held inside of the Building while the pagan ones were outside and only the few in charge of the temple could go inside) they used Roman Basiliche, which were courthouses and market squares.
The First language in which the gospels were translate (other than ancient aramaic) was Greek, which functioned as a common language in Europe (like modern English)
The reason that us Catholics don't use latin Is because in the early middle ages It became a language only known by the few rich educated members of the church, while the people were oblivious of tge bible and gospels'meaning.
Eventually the Church allowed for cerimonies in local language, I personally support tge use of latin since it reminds of the origin of the church and exercises colture
Me: Senatus Populusque Romanus
Satan: AAAHHH!
A great Saintly example of taking technology and using it to Glorify God is St. Carlo Acutis…so in that spirit march on with your videos 🙏🏻👍🏼
That's very interesting. I'm recently trying to learn and read more about Jesus Christ and his message is so powerful and great. But I'm still occupied with the question to what extend ancient religions should have worshipped the devil? Maybe someone can help me out.
Thank you for sharing this 🙏
Asking for your recommendation. Can you refer a resource (online) to start learning latin?
Best explanation I've ever listened to. I've from time to time wondered about that.
So in a way....when the devils host can't understand Latin it provides a way to begin the separation of Host from affliction?
Still that's a lot of information I'm certain I would be better off not knowing. Epluribus Unim baby!! Peace out!❤
Jesus never wanted to conquer anything. He told us even to love our enemies.
God listens to our hearts not the language we speak , do not be fanatics but know the word of God, the holy ghost testifies for us when we have no words to speak.
I learned to say the latin Rosary from the YT channel Journey Deeper. Its excellent ❤
The devil probably prefers people pray in a language they don’t speak or understand. That way people are just “babbling like the pagans.”
There is literally no reason for demons to hate modern people speaking latin over Greek or Hebrew or Chinese.
This is turning prayer into magical spells using the best words in a special language.
Any reputable places on line to learn it?
Just like the Pantheon in Rome, Latin was reclaimed. Great argument / video!😊
To state the obvious, the Devil hates everything but sin.
The narrator has an interesting and insightful perspective that makes the case for Latin in a way seldom articulated.
He also makes it clear why/how the Catholic Church appropriated to itself territories and property in foreign lands - an issue over which it has been browbeaten to make apologies and offer recompense.
In the new earth and new heaven it will be clear to all why the Catholic Church was right all along!
Danke für diese klasse Erklärung, ich wunderte mich seit längerem, warum mich lateinische Gesänge und Gebete so faszinierten..Jesus Christus imperat
Our Father in latin (Pater Noster):
Pater noster, qui es in caelis:
sanctificetur nomen tuum; adveniat regnum tuum;
fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra,

benedicta tu in mulieribus et benedictus fructus ventris tui Iesu.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis
peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.

Obs: "ae" in latin is pronounced as "ay" in say
Is that why Jesus chose that time period? I’ve always wondered? Any ideas? Thank You ❣️❤️🔥
Its not about the language but the fear of God who can perish their existence at once it fears most.
the pater noster was given by jesus to his diciples gospel of mathiue 6,9-13 in aramaic language that was the jesus mother tongue so what rest of as do ?do we learn the latin version? its being prayed by greeks rusians bulgars serbians coptes romanians aithiopians as well

I know satan and his demons hate Gregorian Chants, they are Latin, occasionally in Greek. I play them on low to drive them away!
I also like to think that, Latin was once the language of the Roman pagans, then it became the Language of Christianity (most parts) which obviously would make him mad
Shouldn't Aramaic be the most powerful language as it was spoken in Jesus time?
I’ve experience multicultural catholic parishes where 3 or 4 different languages are being used at the same Mass. No one is happy. It’s like the tower of babel all over again.! Why not use Latin for the prayers and common responses? Before the liturgical changes Catholics could attend Mass anywhere in the world and fully participate in the common responses in Latin. Believe it or not, Latin still is the official liturgical language of the Catholic Church, why just not use it?
So why was Satancon advertised in Boston with Latin in it?
The same reason they use stolen hosts for their black masses. They want to corrupt everything holy. Satan also hates Satanists because he hates ALL humans. That is why he is Satan. Non servium
The dark lord's minions aren't bright.
I attended Traditional LATIN Mass for several years at a tiny SSPX chapel, and I much prefer it to the Novus Ordo Mass, but I now attend the NOM because in order to attend the tiny SSPX chapel it would mean about one hour of travel, and in that tiny chapel you are not there “anonymously”, that is, everybody sees everything that everyone does, or doesn’t do. I will however say that if there was the opportunity to attend the TLM in my neighbourhood, then I would most definitely attend it in preference to the novus ordo mass. I hope and pray that a future Pope will reinvigorate the TLM, instead of suppressing it the way Pope Francis has done by issuing Summorum Pontifcum..
Like Rock n Roll.
I love Latin Mass amen ✝️🛐🕊
Any wonder why they’re trying to shut down the TLM?
I guess that’s why the Vatican is rejecting the Latin Mass now. You’re right, though. Christ is the King, and everything is to be brought subject to Him. Sub tuum præsidium confugimus, sancta Dei Genitrix. Ora pro nobis. 🙏🏻
Latin is awesome, the services at the Churches I attend are partly in Latin, often also Gregorian chants, it gives that extra weight to the service, aaand Catholics from other countries can easily join in. Imagine if Latin became the universal language of the church again, one could easily go from one Catholic church to the next in each and every country. That is probably also the reason why Satan attacked the Latin mass in the first place.
Surely this would apply even more so to Greek ... also an official language of the Roman Empire and the language of the New Testament.
Hahahahahha oh my dear... this is very funny- I was just thinking about "Why do Catholics keep using latin only in Bible, like... Romans were ones who even crucified Him, why would God say make it only in LATIN, that might be another proof to argument against Catholics" and now this shows up, very funny.
Its okay to use other languanges. This video is pretty innacurate.
@@breaktime1012 Even tho, doesn't make any sense..
Can Latin become the way to help convert the Hinduism, Shintoism, Islam and any otherreligion out there?
I think it would be great if we talk about inculturation from the same point of view.
The best way to remember prayers in Latin is to first learn to SING them! Imagine the damage caused to Satan by the one who sings, prays TWICE!
Then this Roman empire restored their old gods, calling them saints. It punished Jews who said the Shema (God is one) because it was anti-trinity. It negated Jesus's words in favor of Paul.
I always thought he hated Latin because he had to take it in school, but this makes more sense.
The best use of cultural appropriation!
