I own the 8” lace up version of this boot, and I gotta say they are one of my most comfortable favorite boots I own. These are my first pair of Thorogood brand boots, and as an introduction to the company’s products it’s an awesome experience so far. I’m a Redwing Guy I own 7 pairs of Redwings, and my longest wearing pair I’m in 8 years now and still going. So it’ll be a test, if the Thorogoods will last that long then they might find a few more pairs on my hands. I have to agree with all the points you made in the video about this style, and all variants. On mine I was slightly disappointed that they only make it up to a EE width, which is still slightly snug on me, and my left foot is slightly wider than my right foot, but not enough to have to have custom boots. So fit still goes to Redwing for me, only because I can get H width in Redwing, and not in Thorogood. However these Thorogoods, only took me 2 or three days to break in, and they were good to go, I knew they weren’t gonna be a problem, and they would stretch some and mold to the shape of my feet. The quality of the boots is top notch, like an American made boot should be right up there with Redwing. One thing noticed to expect, is depending on your foot shape, you may or may not experience this, as I did, but the moc toe work does take longer to break in and shape than the rest of the boot, and I found that for the first week or 2, it rubbed on my big toe on the right hand side boot only and not the left, and it only did it as soon as I put it on and then it was fine after I had it on for a minute, but now it’s molded too, and no longer does it, so if you’ve never worn a moc toe boot before, and try one for the first time, expect that it may rub for a little while longer then the rest of the boot. Also take note that Weinbreinner Shoe Company is currently contracted to manufacture the US military boots, so if they can manufacture boots to the US government’s strict military standards then they no how to build work boots to the same standards, and also Redwing has made military boots before too, so either company you can’t go wrong with.
Can vouch. Thorogoods are really hard to find in my area so about 3 years ago I snagged the 6 inch version of this and they're still going strong. At this point I'll only buy redwing and thorogoods
I'm a union Ironworker, I love the color/texture of these boots but much prefer the wedge sole.. really wish they would make this in a wedge.. I have been with Thorogood boots for the past probably 7 years and they are the best right out of the box I can even play basketball in mine, wedge sole slip ons
@@glenj3send a part number, I've looked and don't see the dark tobacco color like these that are flat bottoms?!? All the ones I can find have the heel like this one. Never seen them in any store or online?
I really hope I can waterproof these bad boys. One thing that needs to be said is there is a difference between these and the round toe wellingtons. Just like the Moc toe thorogoods and the round toe lace ups. Moc toes actually have cork In the foot beds, I believe. You can really tell the difference when you try the different styles on. These are way more comfortable than my heritage 8" round toes.
I just bought a pair Thorogood boots yesterday..814-4200. Definitely comfortable right out of the box. The Red Wing wingshooters another comfortable boot out of the box maybe its little more comfortable
Hey Issac, you never mentioned how the sizing was on this boot. My current Thorogood moc toe boots is true to size....11. I also had the Avenger Romeo ( another of your suggestions ) in 11. Last question. Is that leather somewhere between tanned and suade? I lied....this will be my last question. Is it also available without a steel toe? Thanks friend. I won't buy boots unless they come with the Boot Guy seal of approval!
I have owned multiple pairs of thorogood 90° boots, and all of them have had the shank disbond in the heel portion. This leads to a very loud -CLICK- when you walk.
Eric Ocasio both times it happened within the first week of owning them. One if them never stopped, so after another week, I returned them for an exchange. The other pair clicked for about a week and a half, and then stopped. I'm guessing that the heat and weight of my feet/body re-adhered the shank to the glue. All of my thorogoods have been extremely comfortable. By far the most comfortable boots I have ever owned.
Anyone know where to buy these? The Thorogood website doesnt sell them, all of the boot barns are out, and nothing on Amazon. Any California locations?
I'm looking for it all I can find is a Brown boot with a single piece logger type sole. Nothing called Montana. Also, nothing that looks like the motherland of flyfishing in America.
Have you tried both? I liked my met guard Carolinas but went to artist now on thorogood for the comfort. Might try Carolina wedge soles next if they are as comfy
@@joecooper2263 Yes I have but I like the ARIAT boot better just slip it on slip it off very comfortable when I'm in the high grass field I seem to always twist my ankle but not with this boot
My biggest concern is the top ridge of my foot and the width of my foot always rub against boots/shoes and it causes calices and blisters. Are these boots very flexible or soft inside? Usually hard surfaces cause more blisters xD I have oddly wide feet with foot length of only 10-1/2".
I recently bought a pair. the heel is a bit sloppy. does the heel tighten up as they get broke in? similar to a cowboy boot that can be sloppy at first but tightens up as they break in. thank you for any help or input

I'm not into moc-toes or Thorogoods, but this looks nice. Rugged, yet strangely classy.
A few months ago, I bought a pair of the lace-up version of this boot. Now seeing these, I want another pair of pull-ons.

It is indeed available in a wedge

I really like that boot but, would love it without steel toes
I didn't know that porno music works on boot reviews to! Love my boots!
Uniquely different. Never seen none like it. 👍

Great review. I really enjoy your channel sir.
Dope review ! 👌🏾 Also would love to see a review on the Emperor comp toe WELLINGTON! Keep up the great work 🙏🏾.
Love the Helly Hansen jeans to go with em .

Those boots are beautiful, I want them but they are unavailable. 😕
I just ordered some Ariat Groundbreaker pull ons and now I want to send them back
These boots would look really good if it was just a soft toe that’s just my opinion thanks for your insight and videos. Keep up the good work.
Do a video on the Georgia lace to toe steel toe 8inch logger please!!
If only they didn’t have the bottom heel on the wedge would be copping them. But I’m looking at the 814-4208 but damn wish they made square toe
I need these in waterproof asap
Are these water proof ?
Getting me a pair 👌
Good luck with that, I can't find them anywhere
Good for the oilfields?
I can't find these in stock anywhere!! Unavailable everywhere. Why?
Can you review the diehard Montana work boot? Interested to see what your opinion is.
I would if my local Sears store was not going out of business [ th-cam.com/video/PtFIbHvci-M/w-d-xo.html ] their stock is dwindling down.
TheBootGuy order online they come in 2 days.

Can you get a stock number or link when you have time?
Moc toe with out laces looks strange
Do they come in a full wedge sole
IDK,I think they would look better with the flat sole like the lace up ones.Something about these looks weird.
I like them just becouse them looks like shoes
Love my TG boots... Own a few pairs.... But wow, these are hideous.
do you know if these are still available for purchase?
I bought the same boots but the right boot fits very tight width wise. Any suggestions?
Are this d or ee width? What’s the difference
wish it came as soft (non safety) toe with a wedge sole.
Looks nice 50 bucks more the Carolina

Sounds like you were about to find out, what we’re your results?
Would thorogood insoles fit in a pair of double-H western work boots?
Only one way to find out. But I can't see why not if you remove existing one.
Wat rvthey called
Sweeet !
Does this come in a soft toe?
I need these in waterproof asap
