I remember looking at this tank 5 years ago and i thought there was no way this thing would ever run again, 5 years later its in great condition and running again great work milo
I mean considering that T-34's and KV-1's that have just been hull and not much else have been restored to fully working order is in itself testimony to just how much can actually be rebuilt.
Is it really 5 years since I saw this pitiful wreck being literally dragged off a truck ? Even the tracks refused to turn. This restoration is MAGNIFICIENT - WELL DONE GUYS!!
And will be displayed in the Overloon museum in the Netherlands untill August 17th, after which it will be shipped to Australia to be included in the AusArmor collection.
@@Sjanzo the only significant things these tanks did during desert storm was explode. How i recall it was explained by milo in past videos it was a british-captured tank during 2003 invasion and it was displayed & left outside somewhere in britain under elements of infamous british weather.

Congratulations! So many things done since the beginning were it was looking more like a piece of rusted scrap than a tank. It has been long, often difficult, with many issues, but finally the result is fantastic. Great success ! 😉 Cheers from France 👍
Well milo I watched for the rust three years and then fell away I am so pleased to see you have it all done and you speak some English now Subtitles did get a bit tiresome but. I did love your tank fixing That tank looks fantastic well done Great to see the gun on it I remember you having such difficulty getting it off customs 👍👍🇦🇺
The Netherlands has Europes biggest sea port, we are a trading nation. Our TV has subtitles under Hollywood movies, not a voice-over like German TV. So off course we speak our languages. Watching The A Team on a German channel is absolutely hilarious though, bevause we understand the original version as well as the German voice-over. When they have Hannibal Smith say "ich liebe es wann ein Plan funktioniert" i cant help myself 😂
Despite being a T-55 copy but i find Chinese version to be a cooler T-55 with side skirts, slat armor, laser range finder, smoke dischargers etc. Anyway i bet the Bovington tank museum will try to get this thing running in their next tank fest.
He has already done two more tanks and the third one is on his way. A BMP and a T-55 wzt. The BMP was also a pile of rust, the T-55 WZT was just deferred maintenance. And now he is busy with a WW2 Weasel
Congratulations man it took long bjt its an awesome vehicle when this restoration was stated I was a freshman in bachelor now I'm halfway through my master degree

You need to fix those side skirts -- they are flexible but rigid, rigid enough that the square holes in the bottom can support the crew. They are footholds or steps to mount the tank with.

we've enjoyed all process

Me to I was still a kid
It's steel, can always be made to look and drive like a tank.
Glad Milo could help deal with the mosquito problem in that forest too.
DDDT will help , and smoking cigars helps also.

Such an amazing job transforming it from a pile of rust (extra crispy) to a preserved piece of history!

Are those car gas tank on the deck :) Unfortunately I guess no gold in the fuel tank.
It’s a museum piece now, it’s magnificent, well done to you 👏
Temporally for exhibition, not "forever" This tank has owner.
Yeah but did it fight a historically significant war ? Operation Desert Storm ?

Fantastic restoration. It's also nice that you were able to help with mosquito control fogging while going around the circuit.
I see the automatic smoke screen generator is still working. LOL Fantastic work, guys.

Great to see the old beast is finally finished with the turret working as well and the gun.
Depends if the electrical turret traversal is working or if they're traversing the turret manually.

When I was 12 I remember watching these guys with the roll golf and being so inspired by their work and now I’m almost 22 and getting this recommended
Restoration? This is clearly better than new, it's immaculate.
Look at you feeding all those trees !❤️
That old girl. Would have looked FANTASTIC in one our yearly tank shows here in the UK
FANTASTIC WORK THERE GUYS !!
