@@mercenarygundam1487 In the video Joey says "He was kicking himself when he lost his dad to me" referring to Mako Tsunami who had lost his father at sea, Mako had a card, the Legendary Fisherman which looks like his father so he treasured the card like his father was always with him. Joey defeated Mako in Battle City and the ante rule applies that you give up your most valuable card thus Legendary Fisherman.
Kaiba in the video calls Mako pathetic for seeing the Legendary Fisherman as his father and Joey replies "Be cool man, dude lost his dad" hence Kaiba's reply in my original comment. The reason Kaiba says that is because in the Virtual World Arc of the show, Kaiba faces his adoptive Father Gozaburo Kaiba and ends up defeating him, the Virtual World explodes and Gozaburo dies. Joey's reply about the clowns is a reference to Kaiba's deck as he has Saggi the Dark Clown and Petit Clown in it.
Hope that clears it up a little.

the funniest part of this is how kaiba says who wins with ceasefire but my brother in a duel before at locals when using a rogue deck against a meta deck beat the meta deck super fast USING ceasefire two different times LMAOO

Cool idea. These structure decks are somewhat nostalgic, but also represent the time I basically stopped playing Yugioh (until the 5Ds era rolled around). I had the Red Eyes structure and yeah, it was underwhelming.

Yugi kept the titel even after proved by the fact that in GX hes still called King of games. So i guess Kaiba couldnt even beat Yugi if they faced in that period of time.
Kaiba wanted to challenge the Pharaoh instead of little Yugi is because Yugi is too timid to deliver the finishing blows to his opponents. However, the Pharaoh was merciless in his duels. He never backs down a challenge and will utterly destroy his opponent no matter the cost.

I had all of the structure decks up till the Warriors Triumph.
They were a lot of fun! A little goofy sometimes, but they got me and my friends hooked on playing.
@@hydeaudio I sortof regret it cause Warriors Triumph and the Spellcaster deck was around the time I bowed out originally. I only came back about ten years ago
@@uchihaitachi181 There were definitely a lot of good follow ups, but there's always ways to play them again. The deck recipes are easy to find and plenty of games let you play them.

I will always will have a soft spot for the Blaze of Destruction, since it was my first structure deck. Ultimate Baseball kid is awesome. S tier for me.
I like how their perspectives make sense with their characters.
Kaiba is very much a meta player, only concerned with effectiveness and power, Joey is all about the fun factor, will give a fun but shitty deck S tier just because he likes it but will want to put a very good but degenerate deck D tier because he hates it. Yugi seems to be the only one who values both fun and effectiveness as well as combos and strategy.
I'm really surprised you guys didn't mention “Call of the Mummy” for Zombie Madness. That card was amazing! I loved being able to immediately drop “Despair from the Dark” and a second monster.
I was thinking "the way Kaiba and Joey disagree, they should just take it outside and duel each other with one of these structure decks to prove their point"

I’d put dragons roar at the bottom a C tier yes it’s very flawed but the one upside is for it’s time it gave you easy access to various staple cards like pot of greed and snatch steal. Plus I’m a but of a fan of armed dragons.
It’s at the bottom of C tier because the water structure deck not only gave you those staple cards BUT you also got various cards to actually make a competent deck.
There was actually a fairly popular strat back then that involved using the deck’s boss monster’s effect to board wipe the field.
Zombie madness would go a bit above it around the bottom of B tier. Gives you access to various staples but also zombie decks were fairly popular during the time this deck came out.
Vampire lord, pyramid turtle, regenerating mummy, spirit reaper and ryu all solid monsters for their time.
Warrior's Triumph was actually my first starter deck(well first starter deck that wasn't based on decks from the first season of duel monsters). I was able to make it work pretty well. Though if i had actually played against people with a proper deck i probably would have to deal with the drawbacks mentioned.
Ooooooh. Love these voices as if they are dubbed by the English voice cast. :D

I like the bickering they do. also its awesome to walk down memory lane with these cards. I had the vampire deck, myself. I remember back then as a student, with limited allowance, the only sure way to get the rare cards was if you knew a guy. Yugioh was the shit. Probably still is.
My big brother got those Yu-Gi-Oh cards back in the day. I wonder where they are now. I probably lost my deck because of either termites or I recklessly lent them to another sorry sod who doesn't value them.
I didn't know how to play the game back then so I wasn't qualified to duel.
