Thank you very much for posting this. I've been a strip club DJ for the last 5 years, and I'm just now getting into private DJ'ing. It's a whole new world, and this guidance is invaluable!!
Ha! I addressed this specific question in an earlier video two years ago. It may be time to revisit this topic: th-cam.com/video/KYm4osORjQk/w-d-xo.html
I recommend XLR, which is the more professional cable. However, if for home use (or even a small gig), RCA will work fine. XLR is a 3-pronged or 3-pin cable (balanced output), whereas RCA cables are one-prong or one-pin cable (unbalanced output). It is possible to use XLR to RCA, but beware that XLR carries a higher voltage signal vs. the RCA connection.
Both. The DDJ-1000 possesses a port for a power cable, as well as a port for a separate cable to connect to your external speakers. Do you currently own or possess the DDJ-1000?

What's the best way to connect active speakers? Through male and female xlr? Or xlr to rca? What's the difference?

@@Valoramous yes ! I am waiting my ddj 1000 en of this week so I am ready 😊🎧🎤
@@manuelsantodomingo, good luck. Much of my channel is dedicated to the DDJ-1000.
Thanks for the video! If my PA system is 2 separate powered speakers what is the best way to hook them up to my deck? I also have the ddj1000
I recommend that you utilize two (2) XLR cables (one from each speaker to the Left and Right XLR master inputs on the back of your DDJ-1000).
Will hp pavilion 360 spectre laptop works with the dj 1000srt?
If your laptop runs Windows or Mac, it should work with the DDJ-1000SRT.
So does it use electricity or do you connect to your speakers

I am thinking of buying but I'm not sure
