Howdy, a buddy just sent me this video as I, too, am setting up to do a video. Normally, I'm kept away from the public but I just find it interesting how the public uses my stuff and I want to show how I use it. It is like inventing a flamethrower and watching people use it to reheat their coffee. I'm very aggressive in how I use my stuff and the things I release to the public are often, um, tamed down :) It's like discovering that your grandmother makes your favorite cookies out of fireants and rusty razor blades. Yeah, that's why I'm hidden away. Anyway, thanks for the review. Robert Wainscott, Owner, Black Box Analog Design.
@@kelvynification oh yes, I found the pentode to be very aggressive and brittle, I didn't like the triode much either as it is easy to create mud, its not clear and defined saturation like Angelo, its very sensitive and easy to overdo .Kind regards.
@ such a crucial part they missed out on! This is the main reason why this isn’t on my mixbus / mastering channel. I use the SPL PQ instead combined with Spectre if I need that added saturation that’s a bit more targeted
I think plugins sound 2d. You can never hear the depth added by the hardware. but it's still better than nothing. After all, the hardware of this device is 4000 euros :)

Hi I wonder if you could do an indepth review/demo of Pro Audio DSP DSM V3 ?
I prefer Tone Projects Michelangelo for saturation and additional features, great video.
Question… Have you demoed or purchased the Black Box?
