- Quest 41: I wanted to vlog a day in my life while my leg is broken and share it. After 7 weeks of being on crtuches everyday has been about adpating to life balaning on one leg. It was a good and productive day. Come hangout!

I'm afraid my comments is probably too late to serve its purpose, but just a really good advice though, you are not supposed to cover your cast with anything whatsoever! Which means you shouldn't be wearing long pants, because the cast needs to breathe on the top end, and you should definitely not wear any socks over the cast, because it needs to be able to breathe through the toes end too... Keeping the cast ends always covered like that, could cause serious skin issues, even skin infections, just FYI and wishing you the best, of course!
I appreciate this a lot and I will pin your comment. I would often let it breathe to avoid skin issues but did not want to share all that on the internet becuase I am more modest. The sock I wore was very breathable as well but I was aware of preventing skin issues and have been out of the cast for a while now and had no problems. It was only the last week I did this because it was getting colder where I live. Thank you for sharing. People should absolutely be cautious about limiting air circulation to a cast.

I honestly can't believe I am relishing the day I can go up/down stairs again. Haha. Please complain because stairs are still work lol.

One more week living this way! I am beyond excited and wanted to document how I have adapted to living with a broken leg. While it is a challenge currently it is just another small bump on the 2020 road. There are much bigger things going on. Broke my hand during wrestling practice thumb snapped in half on the growth plate and has to get pins surgically inplanted

Did you have your cast removed? I was in a cast too.I broke my wrist and thumb playing soccer. I had my third cast removed months ago. Have a full and speedy recovery.
