I understand why some items need to be "centered" but i think some of the decorations should not have snap points but should be free to place anywhere, as long as it's a wall or placeable furniture. Still I'm glad to see someone actually making a home in hydroneer, i love watching gameplay but everyone just wants to make the game breaking million dollar ingots, appreciate you taking your time to settle in! Keep up the great vids
another videos woop woop. snowrune falls is a good plot highly recomened, dreck or southhope are all good.. if you hold down your action button when u are placing shard bars or anything u can rotate them by ppressing R T and Y to place things in pipes easier when building use the mouse wheel to move things closer and further away from you
Snowrune Falls is basically set up to continue as more of 2.0 gets released. It's big and deep and has tier 1 to tier 3 dirt. But the problem is digging it out. Excavator is awol and bombs care not about dirt tiers which can cause problems as well. If you end up in the tier 3 depth, nothing works because no tier 3 yet. Same with tier two and your starter iron gear. The tool and machine tiers relate to dirt tiers. So if you do snag that one, be prepared for either a lot of work prepping it or taking it in small strides with what you currently have equipment wise. Also means you probably want to hold on to the tier 1 shovel and pickaxe to make sure you got your layers straight until you can phase out the tier one machines. Highly recommend the new rake tool, but it's a bit finnicky and requires a lot of swapping between tools to fully utilize. The flipside is that if used properly can well outpace the pickaxe for cleaning out dirt.
Diesel if you jump into creative mode on your game grab the hour glass put it in your plot then save reload out of creative mode then you can pause time and never have to worry about night
Diesel I decided to move to Mildew's Aquifer as I found it the fattest but look at the sign there is a map below it there are sections that are tear 1 2 3 so you have to make sure where you set up your tear 1 stuff but there were other considerations also as you are right around the corner from Icehelm so crafting your new drills is close and Bridgepour is also right down the street so getting supplies is ez but I was also thinking about the future so when tier 3 is released its just to the right of the plot I'm on. Just my thoughts but inevitably it's entirely up to you
All of the plots other than Ember Cradle go down to tier 3. Hybridsteel has shown this by using nukes to get to the bottom of every plot. There just isn't currently any way to actually dig the tier 3 dirt or process it. But once tier 3 goes in you will be able to get to tier 3 on all of them by just digging deeper.
I also recommend the aquifer but keep in mind you can't acess the 3rd level as it requires tier 3 tools which don't exist yet, but you can bypass this with a lot of nukes
The block placement being wonky sometimes is usually solved with a quick exit to menu and reload, which can be done in less than three seconds. I notice it a lot if I'm trying to sink blocks partially into the ground. It will sometimes just not work for some reason, but an exit and reload always fixes it.
This is perhaps a silly question, but how do you build in odd number of blocks? The wall panels are always two blocks wide so if I have a base of say 5 x 5 blocks, I can't complete the walls. Or am I missing something?
I would say go to south hope. But I love that plot that is my go to plot. You should turn the door around so that it doesn't clip into the wall. I had to do that with mine yesterday. You can scroll your mouse button while placing an item unless you know that already. I love both your intro and outro for your channel. Its awesome.
Don't forget you can roll the water pressure boosters. You can get it so it's opening almost directly up (I think it is key Y) which makes dropping stuff in a lot easier.. Also I just learned that you could forge the water crystal things. I've been keeping on just loose and throwing them into the water pressure things
i found out when building with the grid, if u use the mouse scroll wheel, it helps allot with building, n im curious about the top snow area for build, im building in the aquifer and theres allot of digging and explosives to get to water at each tier

There are no Tier 3 drills yet I dont think.. The only way to get to Tier 3 level is with Nukes , but then you cannot do any mining there yet
Logic in this game is beyond non-functional. I tried to set up the most simple logic, to allow the gem compressor to go, but temporarily stopping the conveyor belts so gems don't get stuck when it closes. The game simply randomly kept sending logic signals. Not worth it. Plus, the Logic Smelters take damage, and the ones you already have are better because they don't.

Looks amazing! Also, that place where you make the miners etc has a plot at the best spot.
I recommend setting up an auto repair chain with the logic system, its more simple then it appears and increases the idle time of your mine by x20
