You could automate your smelting process 100%, removing the need of the lever. You only need to have the (A >= B) 3-way cable and link A to the output of the Counter, and link B to a keypad. You can set the desired amount of ore on the keypad. Then the result is linked to your magnets, smelter and the input of the counter. Right before reaching the input counter, you add a hook to prevent a value of zero to get through and right after you add a Flip hook. So, when the counter has not reach the limit, the 3-way sends 0, which doesn't activate your machines, and the 0 cannot reach the counter so it keeps counting up. Then when the limit is reached, the 3-way cable sends a positive value, which will triggers the magnets and the smelter. Then since it is a positive value, it will get through the first hook that prevents a zero, and will get reverted to a zero by the flip hook so the counter's input receives a zero, resetting it and the process starts again. Then you never have to think about it again and you get fat fat bars 100% automatically :)
So I have mine with two weight sensors 3 1sec timers 4 one ways. So the first weight reader connects to a >= . The signal from that goes through a straight piece with a one way which is then splits off and goes to the magnet and the smelter. The second weight reader is on the belt leading away from the smelter. The signal from that goes through the logic flipper which makes the signal a 0. Then it goes off to reset every thing. It hits a 1sec delay going to the smelter and going to the magnet it goes through 2 1 sec timers each on its own section. it hits the resets on the two weight counters with no delays. I love yours though it is so simple.
a reset weight counter. From the top, place kabel a/b >=. Connect a to the top of the weight counter, b to a nummer path and the exit, place a t-kabel. one go to the input from weight counter. between the t-kabel and input a straight piece and place a hook, validation (not zero) here. the other end of the t-kabel go to the smelter and the magnets. Place a timer, flip or what ever on this part of the kabel.
Dude, toss a t-splitter at the output of the lever. Add an inverter to the new output from the t-splitter to make a zero when you pull the lever, and use that as the input to the keypad circuit. Ditch the keypad, it's cumbersome.
I wanted to wait on watching your series until you had a few more videos for me to watch lol. Looks like you have been keeping up on this series. Have a great day night or morning.
I just came up with a automated forge system that drops bars of whatever weight you put into a keypad. Problem is the weight reader is bugged for anything over 1000 weight as of right now but the logic works
@@brendanmassaro9595 lmao I haven't posted videos on hydroneer but I'll see about making a video on perfect automation. I'm just trying to make the auto gems a bit more streamline
You should really check out carts. I think you'd like them. They hold stuff just like the tractor does, but you can actually put the carts in the back of the tractor if you face away from it and jump and release. I have a cart for each of the many things I build with. One for cloutium pipes with different sections of the cart holding different pipe variants. One for logic cables. Etc...
Drae seems to have found the source for why things suddenly don’t want to get placed in stupid spots that are CLEARLY accessible for the object to go there. Something to do with tiny dirt particles that don’t get removed when digging out spots for your equipment. Idk, it’s at the start of the video he just put out.
Just noticed you having to wait to precisely place an item. All you have to do now is scrollwheel and it gives you placement to adajcent blocks from where your pointed at. Good video man.
why do you want specific weight bars? why not just keep one big bar of each material? I can kind of get it for the shard bars, but for all the others, it seems better to just have a huge bar and cut it up if you need multiple.
Hey Diesel. Are you still getting that bug with the iron getting caught in the funnel? Happened to me today for both my gold and my iron. Went shopping, and my frames went single digit as they both got caught and blocked my entire conveyor line. I might need to set up a kill switch to shut the entire system down next time rather than run back and forth to turn the water on and off. Have yet to get started on Logic outside of an auto repairer. But I am liking the magnet setup. Good video!
from what i have picked up on logic cuz i just got into the game myself, i believe you would hook the numpad to an A=B, A side for the numpad and B side into the weight reader, thats what im thinking but im probably wrong since i am new to logic as well, others can comment and give their feedback cause i would like to learn that setup as well
Hey Diesel was that an asthmatic cough I heard in the video when you got trapped? If it is don't worry not judging just trying to figure out how good I am at identifying coughs. As an asthmatic smoker (don't bother telling me to quit I'm not going to) I used to cough like that a lot until my doctor got me on an asthma pill, now I just have a small cough once in awhile.
To keep things from falling off the belts, have you considered installing those things that center items on the belt? Edit: Nevermind, I saw later in the video you had those. And thought occurs you could have a sorting system for the gems as well to keep them separate for ease of making baller necklaces to sell.
yep, if you put a bar on a sorter then it will sort that kind of bar. You can also have multiple different items on a sorter tray, in case you wanted to e.g. move all gold ore and gold bars to a specific spot
so what is the point of the system u build with magnets? cus it seems so unecessary to me tbh haha. i dont get the point of wanting exactly 1000weight bars lol
Its not the same as it does not have AND OR XOR and NOR gates. Theorically, you can do them using the maths pipes, but they would be more complex. I believe anyone with a logic mind can do anything. Not only the scrap mechanics player.
Magnets are Wild and Fun!
Sorry for the cough at 15:24 I promise you I’m ok. 😎👍🏻✌️

The bug that the weight reader does not self check itself? (Does not send signal when logic is reset to zero)
I miss my uncle Bob. Never knew him till he decided to show up on the curb with his white van and offered me candy. Haven’t seen him since…

You have to do underground garage (it would be easier to get stuff from the truck)

Missed over the part where I coughed in editing. Sorry bout that.

In an old video from Blitz, he did automation and it reset. Im not sure which one it is.
Can you use the conveyor sorters with bars? You could go one step farther and automate putting the bars in their assigned cauldrons.

You should put walls in the things anyway whether there is no spilage or not just to be safe
There is an easier way to do your 🧲 just operate it using a pulse. Much smaller circuit

To stop things from trying to fall into the logic smelter while it's doing the animation of smelting, which would probably make a mess.
