Clearly, whoever is behind this project, properly understands how the BlackBox era of NFS felt like. Watching this makes me feel like i'm 12 again, when i first saw the Underground series rip through although i was already quaint by then with NFS. The visuals, the art style, the sound design, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, the vibe, the sense of speed, the motion blur, the glitch effect on the camera when you bump into things, the engine sounds dropping out at higher speeds and only hearing the music and slight hints of your car and ambient sounds, it's like your character just gets in the zone and gains some supernatural level of focus. This game takes eeeeeeeeeverything that made arcade racing games that had the tuner culture in them and just drowns you in fan service. It's effectively, everything we've been asking of EA and other studios to make and then some. This game oozes character and i'm all for it, i can't wait for the full release ( Hopefully it'll be on steam so i can have it on my main library ) and just throw my money at whatever premium edition this will have because it deserves it, IN SPADES! Specially since it's supposed to also have multiplayer.
this looks nothing like nfs though especially not black box lmfao, this is more tokyo xtreme racer not nfs. both txr and this are trying to realise the style of mid night club expressway racing, something nfs never touched
@@irishurbadlmao It's a shame that everything died in this direction. I play often the old games on the PS 2 even if the Zero game is way worse than the last games. I hope there are the gangs and the 'story' mode where you can have fun. I also like to change the settings on the car to get the max power out of it. Maybe some police stuff would be fun, where the police is in the end way too slow to catch up.
@@RealSamski idk, i think nfs has that problem where police become boring and not really a threat anymore bc they can't keep up. the game is most fun early-mid game where police are a little frightening and risky. that's more fun imo and games would be better off if they kept that feel
I got like over 30 hours in the demo so far and man, this game is immaculate. The sense of speed is second to none. It feels like im moving at 1000 miles per hour even though im actually going a fraction of that. Its only a damn demo and its already the best street racing game ive ever played. im currently playing NFSU1 and 2 on PC and they dont hold a candle to this game.
The fact that this is only the demo and yet still it’s one of the best if not the best racing game to come out in years says a lot. Just gets me even more pumped for that full release!

would love to see more old & obscure JDM like Nissan Pulsar GTI-R (RNN14), Nissan Skyline GTS-R R31, Toyota MR2 (AW11), Toyota Celica Supra (A60) in the future builds and then since the game wanted to be this "early 2000s street racing" experience, hopefully we get to drive stuff like Lister Storm V12, SR-II Dodge Vipers, Ferrari F355, Mitsuoka Orochi, Vemac RD350, and even forgotten to time concepts like Peugeot Oxia and Jiotto Caspita

u start with a junker, collect rep by winning races and get rid of gang territories by beating all of the members in races until u have enough rep and money to race the boss and clear the area of their gang fully
would be awesome to see your garage change more and more into a tuning paradise with further progress through the game, or even new garage locations. also would be a nice little thing to have photoshooting of your car for tuner magazines as we had it in nfs underground 1. also i hope for some new cars asap especially the nsx or rx 7. also there are already some tuning options for your car to be a drifter so i also hope for a parking garage or stuff like that where you can actually drift.
game looks great though i must say i'm worried that it will be too easy since there isn't really any consequence for slamming into walls, it should be more harsh in that respect imo, to incentivize cleaner driving, giving the player more to worry about- will you risk taking the corner with just a little more speed? risk losing the race and causing an expensive accident? or will i play it safe, make it through the corner but potentially lose speed and momentum, allowing the opponent to pass? i mean if i can just floor it into a wall and carry on then i'm afraid the racing will become pretty inconsequential and boring edit: maybe you can? just seen the rep boss guy "wipe out" at 29:25 so hopefully that's possible for the player too
What'd you do to get the car to actually corner? I have coilovers and circuit arms and decent brakes and it won't corner to save its life, do I need Knuckles?
My car is a Sannis Livisa 200RS which comes with a 6 speed gearbox. The 180RS only comes with a 5 speed and I don’t think there is a way to put a 6 speed into the 180RS at the moment.

Absolutely, both the visual and audio presentation in this game is incredible! Never played a racing game with so much style before.

I bumped up the brightness in post so I'm not too sure if it's possible to get the game looking like this during regular gameplay.

Semi-slicks, you don't have to mess with your steering knuckles. Also, don't come in too hot.

Last I checked there isn’t any actual tuning. Either I missed it or it’s something that may be added in the future
Performance tuning isn't present in the game, at least in the Prologue.
