The big issue is Reiju. I think in nats there will be a bunch of people playing her. Otherwise Rebecca is in a good spot against the other leaders. Keep it up!
It's not an auto loss but yeah having such a hard matchup against such a prevalent deck could be rough, but you could get lucky like me and dodge every Reiju
Not sure if you have thoughts on them but what do you think of the 8 cost Issho and running a couple puddings? Both have done really well locally for me with BY Luffys, Nami’s, and other dudes who just hold all their cards.
@@chedderman4007 My local meta is similar. I always take Rob Lucci and Shirahoshi for hand destruction, as well. There are also 6 Cost Brooks, either K'O 4 cost or return 3 trash to the opponent deck. That really ruins Nami and Gecko Moria centric decks.
I haven’t really like issho for a long time now, he just feels clunky, and currently I don’t see a good time in the build to use him, but also if you play the deck for a little longer of a game 1 10k sing does wonders for killing the hand. As for puddings I used to run it but I didn’t like it as a one of and got really unlucky with it as a two of (milled them both a lot) but if you use my currently list as a base I think you can use Koby as a flex spot and test two puddings there.
@@woonrey I’ll also say the list isn’t bad without aramaki and kuzan, I just think this is the list that has fit best to my style of play. Tempo decks without it are fine but I think that the nature of Rebecca is best suited as a grind out your opponents resources type of deck
As much as I love Rebecca and the playing style. Most players locally are Top Regionals, and there are 2 Rebecca players. So everyone knows how to play against Rebecca really well. Which has led me to play with Kyros and Issho.
@@robertquiles192 First of all Kyros loses Dressrosa synergy, ones that requires Rebecca. Kyros also is not type locked, but the Yellow Dressrosa cards were made to be played with him. Yellow Dressrosa and other types yellow, recreate Rebecca Leader ability, by cycling your Deck through your Life. Also have some Life healing abilities. The deck wants to be a Hybrid type. You can play whichever Black cards you can combo. Because of Kyros K'O ability, you want to focus on Cost reduction. The main strategy of the Deck is Pop Control. That's where you want to focus. There are other tools Black gives like Hand Destruction and yellow can give Life Destruction. But those should be kept to a minimum. Board control is the goal. And because Yellow lets you Cycle through your deck, in someways better than Rebecca. For not having a card limit. You should always have what you need it at hand. You go into the route of dictating what cards are in your life, to take advantage of triggers. (There are yellow cards that triggers Life destruction, so losing a life, will cost your opponent a life). Personally, I feel Kyros more forgiving than Rebecca. If you mess up a combo with Rebecca, it will cost you a game. With Kyros, you K'O and Heal after a mistake. Where you have a chance to put yourself in the game.
I get that, I am the Rebecca guy of Austin and I make content of what she does, the scene has begun watching my videos to try and figure out what to do into me. We also have a pretty dense population of top regionals guys here, ( I want to say three of the matchups I played weee against dudes with multiple top 16s at least and a few top 8s). The tournament as a whole was flooded with guys using it for Nats practice and held the best players of Austin and San Antonio, which easily involved 10-12 regional topping players. I get it, it can feel rough to feel solved but I like that you use Kyros for some enigma points, but don’t give up on Becca practice makes perfect and the deck rewards practice and time! @@the_lord_nick Your videos was what made me choose to play Rebecca. I love the typing, love the concept of the Deck. I think it's a Deck that determines Black Cards inner Balance. Which helps with the health of the TCG. I will still play Rebecca casually, not walking away. I'm alright looking at what OP08 and new ST have to offer to Rebecca. In Terms of Black and Blue Cards. Saw a handful of interesting ones. That will keep Rebecca competitive.
Hey man I just went to locals and played a similar list, and to be honest: It felt a bit bricky. I played about the same amount of non-counter cards. If you open a hand with judt those, the games feel u winable. Do you have any advoce for that? Problem is: I had to take all 5k swings, so my hand was too full for leader ability, and I couldn't really start the game at all
I got around this to a degree by utilizing the counter I have in hand, if I have to counter with a Rebecca Blocker or Mansherry for instance I keep a mental note of that and know I have to get a Luffy on board at some point. Focus on developing whatever board state you can and play to still try and clear whatever you can. Most people when they see you play for board state may get over eager to try and rush out the game so you will actually be able to set up a couple of nice plays. It also really depends on the cards stuck in your hand, if you get nothing but top end then yeah it'll probably result in a lose but most of the other cards have low enough cost you can use them just to get cards out of hand. It's also why I run the Koby's they help get dead cards out and enable me to have a chance to get some counter back.
I like the spice but the problem is it becomes more or less a dead card against the rest of the format. Better option would be 6 Cost Brook, he helps with the nami matchup too.

I was your 5th game (V4Clutch) and lost lol. Definitely need more practice with R/P Luffy, and that matchup was a total unknown for me haha. Nice job!

What are your thoughts on op05 viola UC as a trash disruptor against decks like BP Reiju, lucci, BY luffy and moria?
I like the spice but the problem is it becomes more or less a dead card against the rest of the format. Better option would be 6 Cost Brook, he helps with the nami matchup too.
