    How do you get the camera that mounts to the rear window? Mine just came with the front view and cabin view camera. I have the 222x model.

      I think you need the 322 or better to get a rear camera, do yourself a favor and get a thinkware, my 322 kept freezing

    Got a new phone and want to set it up but it literally won’t let me get into the settings menu or stop recording. Want to check if it caught someone else getting hit and can’t pull it up. JFC this was a pain to set up to my phone the first time and can’t even get it opened again.

    I have recently purchased one (Front & Back), and it seems to love saving a recording when the car door is closed, but for some reason, got my rear light cluster smashed, and did not record a thing. So not too sure on it at present, since it has not worked. Since i have no idea how or who smashed my rear lights - Driver side.
    Plus they state put it on the passenger side of the rear view mirror, so you can not see the screen, so pointless for the so called reversing camera set-up.

    Hi, I have the 422GW and I set it up via cigarette lighter. I had an accident and nothing was recorded. Is there a way to set it up for constant recording? By this, I refer to some footages on youtube where the cam is on even when the car is stationary? Is it possible? Wikk it drain the battery? Thank you

      Hello, if you have your camera installed on a permanent live fuse, the camera will not switch off with the ignition. You will need parking mode on to stop this from draining your battery.

    I have the flat Mount and the directions say to put the camera in the flat Mount but I can't figure out how to do it explain it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes no sense.

    Just got mine setup and installed. I got both rear cam and inside the cam to see which I would like best but you can only have one camera in use for the rear of the vehicle.

      can all 3 camera's operate at the same time... or is it a choice between the inside the cab cam or rear cam choice?...

      @@jimmoriarty9714 Only 2 camera's can operate at the same time. You have to choose if you want inside (Cab) or rear facing camera. It cannot support 3 camera's at the same time and if it did it would use up a lot more memory on the SD card due to the HD recording so I recommend a big SD card that Nexbase offers.

      @@mwanawekaaya1283 The battery will keep charging off of your cars battery until it gets to a low point then the camera will not drain your car’s battery anymore and run off its internal battery only. That way if your car is parked for long periods of time the camera won’t kill the cars main battery to the point it won’t start if you wired into your vehicle directly. Otherwise the 12v option only charges when the vehicle is running so the camera doesn’t affect your car’s battery at all. I’m a daily driver so my truck doesn’t set for more than a few days at a time and have never had issues.

    I've just purchased the front and rear and had it hardwired into the car, I'm just wondering if there's a way I can view and play footage without being connected to the dashcam? Like without the WiFi connection, I understand that it won't be able to upload live footage without a connection, but I can't understand why if it's available on the app with a connection, why it can't be without one, am I able to do this? Thanks in advance

    Don't buy a Nextbase Micro-SD card, they're £60. I got the exact same thing from Argos today (SanDisk) and it was £19.99. JUST MAKE SURE IT'S UHS-3 or it won't work!

      Thanks for that. I bought a 322GW and it has been pretty useless. Every clip I wanted was never there on the saved files. So very annoyed and frustrated with the thing. Have checked the SD card and it is not UHS-3, but it is the one that was sold with the camera as new from Harvey Norman NZ. The card is: Strontium Nitro 32GB Micro SD Class 10. How come such a big organisation can get things like this so wrong.

      Follow up to my first comment: Thank you for your info. Have just checked the Strontium SD card and it is a class 10. Have just been and bought a new SD card "Sandisk 32GB UHS-3" and the dashcam now appears to be working just fine. Thanks again for saving me the hassle of taking the dashcam back and trying to get a refund. I think that Nextbase needs to put a BIG NOTICE in the box regarding this, saying something like: "Warning! This unit will only operate with a UHS-3 SD card".

      We recommend Nextbase SD cards in your Dash Cam. They are made for specific use with our Dash Cams We understand that most manufactures' SD cards do not meet these requirements and also that some retailers will void the warranty on an SD card if it used in a Dash Cam. This will ensure a full one year warranty as well as avoid issues such as freezing and stopping recording.

      My first dashcam was a Nextbase 402g. Had loads of trouble with it. It had a Lexar SD card sold with the unit. Phoned Nextbase helpline and they said to try a SanDisk card as they very rarely had any problems with the Sandisk cards. Used a Sandisk card and all worked fine afterwards. Nextbase is now pushing their own card but the price is a rip-off as you say. My guess is that they are getting their cards from Sandisk but labelled Nextbase. My experience with SD cards in several cameras over many years has taught me to never touch anything but Sandisk!

      @@NextbaseUK I find it hard to believe that a warranty can be voided by using any SD card in a dashcam unless it specifically states that on the packaging that the card comes in. Are you able to quote the manufacturer(s) and wording that voids such a warranty?

      The battery only has power for about 15-20 mins, you can use the cigarette lighter, or for £20 you can get a NextBase "Dashcam Hardwire Kit", I got one today from Argos, it was £20 (the wires are all hidden, and it's wired to the car's fuse box so powers up when you turn on the ignition). You can fit it yourself for free by searching youtube how to instal a dashcam for your make/model of car. Halfords will fit it for you, but charge you £50.

      Our Dash Cams can be fitted to almost all types of vehicles, as long as there is a suitable power supply available. All Nextbase Dash Cams come with a 12V Power Cable included in the box, if your car has a 12 port, simply plug it in like you would in a normal vehicle.

    I have the 320xr how do I connect this to my app I do not see any thing on the cam it’s self.

      I don't believe that the app is compatible with the xr versions. It even says what versions its compatible with, and specifically says "322 GW" not xr.
      I have the 320xr and the way you watch the videos it records is by simply plugging it or its sd card into your computer and grabbing the videos off of that. The 320xr doesnt come with any of those fancy gps or speed monitoring details, what you see in its videos is what you get. There's also a nextbase player app for pc, which the 320xr DOES work with, but its pretty pointless. Again, since the 320xr records no speed or gps data, the Nextbase Player doesn't really do anything that your standard windows video player can't do.
      If you arent seeing anything on the cam itself, plug it in and leave it for a few minutes. Then hold down that power button for a few seconds. If you plugged it into your pc, you should see three options. The top one lets you transfer videos off the camera, and the middle option opens up the camera as normal. From there, you can adjust your settings and test out video taking.
      Its important for this that you actually have a microSD for the camera - it wont work without one. Most normal microsds wont work, you specifically need a card with 128gb or less (keyword: LESS. It bricks if you put in more) of storage, and with 50mb/s write speed minimum. Nextbase recommends their own sd cards but they're massively overpriced. I personally bought a SanDisk 128GB Extreme microSDXC UHS for 15 bucks. Way cheaper than nextbase's SD cards and does everything you need it to.

      Yes, this is possible via the settings on your dash cam. Turn on the screen saver function to shut down the screen after 30 seconds without any interaction. With the screen off, recording will continue as normal. Touch the display to re-open the screen. You can also choose for the Screen Saver to show your current speed (GPS signal required).
      Options: On and Off and Speed Display

    Having spent a not insignificant amount on this, I expect things to work properly. I have two problems so far (first hour of owning this)
    1. The Android app fails to connect with the device, everytime, I just get a spinning circle, forever.
    2. The software version on the camera shows 10.7, the website shows 11.1, yet when I do update it says "your camera is up to date"
    Suggestions?

      All Series 2 Dash Cams are equipped with the 'Intelligent Parking Mode' feature. This means it will switch on should a bump be detected but also won't drain their car battery as it's not on constantly.

    I’d like to power it on a USB port rather than the cigarette 12V port, would that be possible?

      My 222x has usb connectivity and is powered
      this way right now. But will not continue on once the vehicle is turn off.

      @@EverydayRoadster nextbase supplies both the cigarette lighter charger and the USB cable adapter. The camera can be charged via USB in house or even in your vehicle. My 2017 Silverado has the factory USB ports.

      This does work in some cars, but we don’t recommend it as most vehicles USB sockets are designed for Music playback or phone power. What we would suggest would be to go for the hardwire kit which connects to a fuse box in the car and is designed for this purpose.

      @@NextbaseUK I refer to a dual USB outlet, as it is plugged into the 12V port. That would not block the 12V outlet for the dashcam alone but enable it for shared use with other devices. I don't see that as an option with the Nextbase cam, since the power cord is hardwired into the 12v plug, correct?

    I spend nearly £400 for this dash 622gw. Whit everything and it's really shit camera ever I had £20 camera one was really better than this .now it's screen is black .and I never can't connect it to the mobiles app .take to the Halford they couldn't fix it too I lost the receipt cuz it was 5 month ago .absolutely shit and disgusting

    Do not buy. All next base dashcams turn off at low speeds if driving. I tried usb connection, 12V connection. Even charging it for 4 hours at home. I tried multiple cars and multiple versions.
    There is a design flaw in the product. Please do not buy. This never happened to any other dashcam I used.

    How do you know that it is automatically recording when your engine is turned on please? Is there a way to move the mount also once it's been placed?
