the radiation mutated his genes but he no longer has radiation in his system. he actually injected himself with radioactive materials that weakened him as his healing factor started to defend him. in the weakened state he was not as a powerful but was able to fight off morlun because of morlun's reaction to the radiation.

I think that Spiderman movies should actually involve some actual story line from the comics instead of putting some bad guy into the movies and having a bunch of battles and until Spidy just find a way to beat him. That would be a great movie if Morlun was in it. Anyways I think this is my favorite part in the series. Morlun is such a wonderful villain. And with Ezekiel. That would be sweet. The "other"

Spider-man does die but is reborn, the whole situation is called "The Other". This part is were him and Morlun fight and spidey get beaten very seriously but later Morlun is killed by a changed side of spider-man in the hospital. After that peter falls out and iron-man takes his body away, somehow he escapes, makes a coccon and is reborn inside. His dead body is left in Stark Tower and is being eating by pirate spiders. The clawed one is a costume called Iron Spider made by Michael Turner.
