    Yes, there are lots of references and fun things. But, what impresses me the most with NWoS is that they can make a good song just like that. In any genre. They are good musicians and composers.

    The part in italian it is an extract of the Divine Comedy ( a 1300ish narrative poem about Hell, Purgatory and Heaven by Dante Alighieri )
    Nanowar of Steel are in european live tour now (I have just attended an italian date) and there are many dates in Germany also. YOU SHOULD DEFENITEVELY GO!

    The part in italian is just a part of the "Divina Commedia" from Dante alighieri and it's basiclly a part when Dante approach the fourth circlo of the inferno and there is Pluto that is guarding it, and it tells those lines to Dante, ending with "Pape Satàn, pape Satàn aleppe" which is repeated in the song. The exact meaning of that phrase is unknown, but it should sound like a menace

    One of the fun things about italian eurodance is that usually we don't even know or remember that many eurodance songs were made in italy because back then all over europe we used to do tracks in each other's languages, sometimes employing foreign singers who knew how to speak them (like when Sash did "La primavera" with lyrics in italian), and/or italian guys would use foreign pseudonyms or project names. It would be hard to pick an order but here are some i like: Alexia - "The summer is crazy", Alexia - "The music i like", Mo-do - "Eins zwei polizei", Neja - "Restless", Neja - "Shock", Corona - "Baby baby", Gala - "Freed from desire", Gala - "Suddenly", Gala - "Let a boy cry", Gala - "Come into my life", Gabry Ponte - "Geordie", Carolina Marquez - "S.E.X.O.", The Soundlovers - "Surrender" and I'd be tempted to add the immortal Robert Miles, "Children" even though it maybe doesn't classify as "dance".

    the character dressed in red is Dante Alighieri, father of the Italian language and great poet. the verses (terzine) are in the Florentine language of the fourteenth century from Canto VII of Hell.
    Traslation:
    "Pape Satan, Pape Satan, Aleppe!"
    Thus Plutus with his clucking voice began;
    And that benignant Sage (Virgilio), who all things knew,
    Said, to encourage me: "Let not thy fear
    Harm thee; for any power that he may have
    Shall not prevent thy going down this crag."
    we do not know what ''Pape Satan Aleppe!'' means, but it could be an invocation of Pluto to Satan ''Pape (Papa=Pope=Father), Aleppe = ἄλεπτος (àleptos) which means ''impregnable'' Satan'' therefore simplifying , in my opinion and due to the genius of Nanowar, could mean ''Come (to us) Great Father Satan!'' en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pape_Sat%C3%A0n,_pape_Sat%C3%A0n_aleppe

      @@scharsigo you are welcome !🙂 on other reactions there are listed all the quotes. That said, there is one thing I don't know whether it's a reference or not and I haven't read it anywhere. at 5:26 of your video, the barman can be seen passing a red drink to the vampire (mr Baffo), but it looks like a ''tea bag''. Now, in Italy there is a bad joke that goes ''what is the vampire's tea?'' and the answer is ''a sanitary napkin used in hot water''😆... I strongly think it is a reference to this trashy joke 😄
