Jesse every time I see you ride, ANY horse, the thought is always "what a natural beautiful rider" The talent you are gifted with is rare, and your humility honors that gift. The whole picture as you ride, the horses movement and attitude, your light and impeccable equitation is beautiful. There is just so much balance and harmony. Thank you for sharing:)

Thank you for showing this!!! So often we only see the end results of training. I think many people get the notion that the beautiful rides to music and lights just happen or require a perfect horse.
Seeing the patient effort you take to work through Antares reactive moments gives great insights into the depth of your training with him. Plus he's also still a horse and all horses will have moments that startle them or new things they need to learn are safe not scary.

I love seeing you and Matt working together rather than each of you doing "your thing" separately. It is also amazing to see the depth of understanding you lovingly share with your horses. It is beautiful.

I really love how you take your time with him to practice this. Not a lot of people understand that horses also need time to get used to some things because they don't know it and they can get scared too.

Really enjoyed watching how you ALWAYS prioritise the bond with the horses over anything you aim to do in any moment.
Guess that raises your own energy level to meet with the purity & integrity level that a horse naturally embodies and that’s why you connect so beautifully. No ego, no super imposing. Just mutual respect.
Never loose that, it’s so inspiring to witness:- ) 🐎💚

Jesse you have all the qualities of an excellent trainer: the competence, you are patient, you reassure and congratulate Antares for his efforts. All this is done with gentleness and love. Finally, Antares moves easily and confident in a "sea" of lights. You are both doing a great job, this video is interesting and enjoyable to watch. Jesse, What a great idea for getting your horse used to applause. The first time I took a horse I had trained into a breeding class I found out why you should train for applause. The 3-4 Arabian mare I was showing was just fine until the awards were announced but just as soon as people began to clap for her, she tried to hide her head under my arm! It was probably not the most elegant presentation of the horse that we could have acheived! Luckily the mare's owners were delighted that she had won third place in a very large 1/2 Arab Class - and I never again forgot to train for applause - and cheering too!

Jesse when you ride, and are training, you are “at one” with your horse, in every sense.
You naturally blend in wonderfully on a horses back. Visually it looks great for the audience.
Where as, some riders, are positioning on the back in a ride, it looks unnatural and disengaged, uncomfortable. There’s a big difference.
In rally driving and car racing, it’s the same, the best, successful, drivers are “at one in the drivers seat, with the car, the car becomes part of you, an extension of your body. This is how is see your abilities.
Please don’t doubt your abilities. You are amazing.

It was very interesting to watch the horse’s eyes and feet as he lowered his head to see what the light spots were and how you coaxed him over and over to cross them successfully. I swear I experienced a similar thing when I visited a friend in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and we went to the Van Gogh Experience. We were walking from one dark room into another and it looked like a step down but it was a black floor reflecting part of the video from above. I was feeling like I was going to fall as my friend patiently coaxed me forward with baby steps. I’m starting cataracts (age 67) and I think the light was refracting weirdly in my eyes. I sympathize with Antares! 🥰🎄
