Here’s the really amazing thing about Emily Blunt: she pulled off Mary Poppins. Very well. She pulled off a ripped, no-nonsense, ass kicking soldier in Edge of Tomorrow. Very well. She pulled off one of the leads in a gripping horror/sci-fi film (A Quiet Place) very well. And then she pulled off quite a funny role in Jungle Cruise. It’s hard to do any one of those genres well, but to pull off all of them well is remarkable.

I did get a few chuckles when airport security pointed out I couldn’t take my Swiss Army knife with me and in my best Crocodile Dundee proclaimed “That’s not a knoife! “It’s more of a can opener!” They let me recall my checked baggage and I still have it to this day. Incidentally, a year later, at Buckingham Palace I almost lost it again because it has a locking blade. I didn’t know they were illegal in most places in Europe. The sergeant let me keep it on the promise that I put it in my luggage and keep it there for the rest of my trip. As a joke, I purchased some towels from the gift shop, and when I gave them to my mother, I told her I stole them from the Queen as a consequence of palace security detaining me because of my knife. She believed me, until I laughed and told her what really happened.

I’m always surprised when I hear people reacting badly/poorly to do with John’s looks because he’s a very good looking guy in my eyes. Also, never even thought that either John or Emily is much better looking than the other, to me they’re pretty equal in the looks department but judging by the comments I’ve heard over the years, I’m one of the minority with this opinion.
Well, I mean if we compare him to say Ryan Gosling or young Tom Cruise, he is sorta mid. He is good looking, but not Hollywood hot.

I was in an RIT film once, and one of the actors in it said he was an extra for the Quiet Place sequel, but the scene he was in got cut - I felt bad for him, by the way - and my heart lifted when he talked about how chill and nice John Krasinski was.
