So impressed by your Calathea - Orbifolia!!! I have had one in soil for the same amount to time and it is no where near the size of yours. I have recently bought another one from Bunnings and put it in Leca. I also use Organic + for all plants Hydroponic Nutrient by Manutec also bought from Bunnings. Cross fingers that my plant gets as big as yours in 3 years time. Thanks for this very informative video 😊

Hi, love your orbifollia. I use my Sheffield's digestion. Water purifier for fish tanks. Just half a cap full.
When I brought mine it died right bk and made a diy cabinet but leca never worked with mine, I used pon and now it growing like a weed.
Does she not have issues from cold being in the window during winter?

Hi Leca Queen! Just begun following you and I absolutely love your videos 🫶🏻 I use a moisture meter with most of my plants, and I wanted to know if I need to wait until my Calathea Orbifolia is completely dry before I water it again. Also, is it true that this plant prefers rain or filtered water? There is some browning at the tip of some leafs 😢 It’s planted in soil, not leca.

My Orbifolia was pot bound repotting in Pon when remove old soil had ‘bulbs/corms’ can I propagate/ sprout like Alocasia??

As I'm thinking about switching from soil to leca.because I had a calathea before this one long story short, it got bus fom a northern plant I bought. Could not get rid of. My Calathea Orbifolia gets brown edges is it not enough watering?
I check the PH in the reservoire if I see a problem on the plant and can´t explain it. Sometimes it is actually the PH, than I change the solution:)
That is good to hear, the point is to understand your plant and know it well, if that works for you and your plant then keep doing what your plant wants and what you can actually realistically do.
My orbifolia is crying in the corner after seeing this, should i take it to counselling to help is confidence? 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Leca Queen. I live in the state of Maryland. The water in this apt is high in chemicals. Everything turns white from my water. Should I still take my Orbifolia to the sink and rinse anyway? HELP. I want my plants to grow something like yours.
