Game is gameplay over story. Pretty sure the staff were like "Sirs, the story should have ended by now" And the higher ups were like "We don't care. Make more" No complaints here. I do love this series
@@teneesh3376 Fun fact, the CEO of the studio that makes Sniper Elite series is a medieval history enthusiast and owns horses on which he wears armor and jousts. He shows all of this in the TH-cam channel Modern History TV.
Nothing wrong with the formula if it still manages to draw the fans, but this looks like a map pack for SE3/4. Anyway, looking at the past track record of Rebellion, will look into the game after 1 year and the 3 seperate dlc maps...not to mention a steep drop in price as well as denuvo extraction.
I played this after paying Elden Ring for a few hours, and was thoroughly relieved at the relative simplicity of the different menus. The gameplay mechanics themselves were simple too, making it a much funner game to pick up and play for an hour or two. In short, fun game with intuitive controls and menus.
It really isn't. Randoms only, items in single player locked behind it, and it's overdone, had about 5 invasions in the same mission before even getting half way though, gets ridiculous to the point I just save when they invade, make a racket so they track down and kill me faster so they can get their xp and I can move tf on with my mission.
@@ShmilS I wouldn't even care if it's even multiple times in one match as long as there's a cool down, hell make it so any invasions after the first have to be approved, there's multiple ways around this issue, but one after another after another is ridiculous. I'd only be okay with that if it was my friends doing that shit and not some random.
@@Fuzzycatfur I just turned the option off in the pause menu after the first invasion, cause it took ages to find them, it ruined a stealth run, the player asked for a rematch cause they lost, and I didn't want to ruin my single win streak lol. Luckily they allow you flick the switch without exiting the mission.
@@overzealouseuthanasiast9731 Yup. As I suspected, it being randoms only will kill the mode very quickly,, people will get annoyed and permanently leave it off, locking people out of getting the items locked behind invasion mode, which is total bullshit.
The protagonist of these games seems to be slowly morphing into the protagonist of the Wolfenstein games, game by game. Maybe in Sniper Elite 9 they'll give him that cool Sci-Fi armour they had in Young Blood.
the first game was set in 1945 near the end they then went back to 41 and are moving back toward the first game again and maybe we'll get a remake of the first game
There are decoys that can be set to spring up immediately, in 5 seconds, or in 30 seconds and will spot the enemies that shoot at it. There are three skill trees. You can make vehicles create a soundmasking environment instead of just generators. You can't replace the weapons you are carrying with weapons you can find, but you can pick up and carry an enemy/found weapon - but you drop it if you switch back to one of your main three weapons, or stealth kill a Nazi. You also can't reload the found weapon. You can't throw rocks anymore, but you can find bottles and can throw them - I guess to prevent spamming. That's what I found so far in my limited time playing today.
Didn't expect that character to sound Scott...ish. Not impossible for the time period but pretty unlikely, not that I expect historical accuracy from the game that lets you x-ray blast Hitler's one testicle mind you. Also check out the YT channel Modern History TV. It's run by the CEO of Rebellion and is all about English Medieval life. He does actual real life jousting!
There is the Lovat Scouts and Black Watch. Both originate from Scotland, have snipers, and performed actively in the second world war. As for their role and impact I wouldn't know. But I also highly doubt that they x-rayed Hitler's lower part 😂
First game was hella atmospheric even with it's junky graphics. Sound and level design were awesome. Second game turned into typical call of duty and was boring as hell.
You know what, when I was watching this review a though popped in my head - someone will make a game set in the current war in Ukraine. I wonder how soon that will happen.
I like how in this series the game can be as hard or as easy as you want
After 5 games surely the war would have been over by now.
They still need a pacific campain and another Dlc where you kill Hitler for the LAST TIME BECAUSE IT'S DEFENETLY NOT A BODY DOUBLE

As if people needed excuses like "STOP BITTE WE SURRENDER" to keep killing nazis.

Wars go on for years and years so no
That's rebellion in a nutshell.
Do nothing new but do everything right.
but do everything a little better, not necessarily right

Kinda want Yahtzee to do a ZP of this just because I need a fresh dose of Yahtzee shitting on WW2 games lol
Even after been hit in the ball(s) multiple times is SE2/3/4 and 5, Dolfi still refuses to die. He definitely has balls of hardened steel.
Thank you for the efforts keeping these so time effective. I’ve been inspired…

The invasion mechanic sounds really interesting! I might try the game for that alone
Never thought I'd say this, but the invasion system here sounds awesome.

Glad it's included with Gamepass on the Series S/X.

Could even replace him with his "cool" daughters.
The bug gave you the guy on your shoulder so you could use him as a shield or to put your feet up on when your done.

"Holy shit they're still making these?!"- My verbatim response to Sniper Elite 4
not normally my kind of game but I might try this
I thought you'd said it was called snacker elite 5 and that sounded way more interesting
Should I wait for sale or nah. I like to do combat displays for my channel so is this a good game for that?
I really love this franchise, good, solid, gameplay
Just picked up the game from GS preorder. About to check it out..
how does it look worse then 4??
Whats new in the formula compared to 4? Looks just like it. New gadgets even? Is there dlc coming up?

As a Scot, I'm offended you found THAT accent difficult to understand. 😅
Loved 3 & 4. I'll give it a week or two before I buy it so they can fix the bugs.
Give it like, a year so all the DLC is out and it's on sale for 50% off.
Basically it's time to replay the first game

X-ray vision is a game mechanic. Kingdom deliverance stays close to historical accuracy but still has game mechanics to aid the player.

Dem PS3 graphics tho
First game had even worse graphics but somehow looks better for me
The first game was the only good game in this series, the rest is just a modern gaming trash pile.

Lol that faux scouser accent is pretty rough
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
Xray vision xray vision XXX
How are there still nazis when you've killed 4 games worth before this one?
because they needed to put a black scottish woman in WW2 european frontlines. And also money.
I don't know, I feel like Sniper Elite 5 is Mortal Kombat making a World War II game, and I'm not sure that's necessarily a good combination
