Nice set, more original than the traditional wooden tray. I really enjoy those colors on black pieces 👌 Positioning of pieces in the video triggered me a little, in chess, the queen is always positioned on the square corresponding to her color, so the queens are facing each other :p
I use stoneware clay which needs to be fired to very high temperatures in a kiln. If the bottom of the pieces are glazed then they will stick to the kiln shelf when being fired. Glaze melts and fuses to any surface it touches, so any point of the piece that will touch the kiln shelf cannot have any glaze on it

This is a great idea. Thank you for sharing I might make one myself too.
Hi! Is there a reason why you don't glaze the bottom of the pieces? Is the one you used dry clay?
Super lovely set! I will make it too!

@@KlayCeramics hank you!
I love your works! If I ever go to Zimbawe (I hope to) I would love to visit your studio
Absolutely amazing! Fabulous 😍
Thank you!✨
Love it!
Thank you!
What are the dimensions of the board? And did you just cut a big square out of a slab?
This board was 24cm square. Yes exactly, I cut a square out of a slab 😊
What tape is that?/Width of the tape?
I used insulation tape and just cut it to a thinner width. You do get a thin craft tape which will work well
so beautiful. how much clay did you require for the entire process?
Thank you! I’m not exactly sure but I’d guess around 1.5 - 2kg ✨
could you link what paint you used! i love this color
