    As someone who has worked with Dynamics 365 since Micrsoft CRM 4.0, I may be a little biased when I say model driven apps are amazing for no-code. It's a great way to give your data a front-end which requires little work to get up and running. No need to worry about the visual aspects of the app - it's all done for you. It's a consistent look and feel and when used in conjunction with D365 apps, it's a great way to extend the application(s). After all, that's why it exists.

    Hi Shane. I'm trying to add data to a table I've created (first time) and I can't add anything in my primary column. It seems to be system generated as soon as I add data to another column in the row, and it is a 36 character alphanumeric code. What I think I need to do is ignore the primary column (essentially call it systemID), and then build my table from there. Thoughts?

    Hey Shane, I am a big fan of you in the power platform conference last year..I've been following your tutorials on creating Model-Driven Apps and I'm currently developing an ERP system using this platform. I've found your videos incredibly helpful and informative.
    However, as I delve deeper into the project, I'm starting to have some concerns about the potential costs associated with Dataverse storage. I understand that 1 GB of storage is currently priced at $40 per month, but I'm struggling to grasp how much data that actually represents in practical terms, especially when considering storing invoices and receipts data (not documents), and other relevant information for an entire ERP system.
    I would greatly appreciate your insights on data usage and cost optimization and tips and I'm particularly interested in your opinion on whether proceeding with Model-Driven Apps for my ERP is the most cost-effective and efficient solution in the long run.
    Thank you for your time and expertise. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank for the video! Quick question. We already use a Low-Code platform that is built on top of a SQL Server database so our data-model already exists. Would you recommend building canvas apps on top of this already existing data model using the SQL Server connector or rebuild the model in Dataverse and use a model-driven approach? Let me also add that I am a SQL Developer with some front end web dev experience and our apps need to be mostly mobile. Thanks!

    • @ShanesCows
      @ShanesCows  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike if you are already a SQL rockstar then I don't see the harm in building canvas apps connected to your existing SQL. :) Learn one thing at a time. Dataverse is awesome but SQL is pretty good also. Both require premium licensing.
