He will never have to work a day in his life. I guarantee he doesn't care about a degree. LBJ's bloodline is set for hundreds of years if money is managed properly lol. Lebron currently makes 50mil year. Assume he stays for another 5 years. That's $300mil including this year, alone + whatever else he's made the past 20 years. With just 300 mil and an average return of 7% invested, that's $21,000,000 that 300mil would net him yearly. He's likely close to a billionaire. Nobody born after Bronny in that family will ever have to work. Assume he has 1bil in assets that can be invested, that's $70 mil a year net gain at 7%. That compounds year after year, after whatever you need to live off of comes out of that $70mil. That first million is a hurdle for anyone, but anyone with a million generally will never have to work again with proper investing. LBJ is worth a billion.

Hyperbole my guy. The fuck you mean Elite 3pt shooter? To be a reserve? Only a handful of players are considered elite from 3. It's not a common thing. He needs to get to about 36-38% for his position just to keep defense honest at the perimeter. That's called serviceable, hell......I'd even go as far as to say average. So, no he doesn't need to be elite at shooting 3s to be effective. He needs more time to bake in the oven as it stands. Why are we rushing the kid?

The kind of pressure that some parents, especially American parents, seem to put on kids make me glad not to be American to be honest. As much as I love the states, this kind of dehumanising "overcompetetiveness" is scary, especially when it's to the point people are pressuring their own kids to such a degree, it's just depressing to witness.

Even more silly when you compare the scale of how much sports means to Europeans (people setting off flares in an indoor basketball court ffs), to how parents at little league games act in the US. Not saying over protective/competitive parents don't exist in Europe, but at most it's a light scuffle, but people pulling out weapons at a children's sports games in the US (and more than just a few times) is fucking insane.

Or he could leave early, play with his dad for one season in the NBA and then go play overseas or something afterwards if he cant stay on an NBA roster. To be a pro player at NBA level it requires both phisical and neuro tallents (extreme eye hand cordination and high game IQ) the best thing that could happen to aspiring athlete is to fin out early if he is cut for pro level or not. My recomendation is not to train like crazy, but train normal and see if tallents shine and if tallent is obvious then pushing to pro level makes sense. Hey the guy is talented enough to play in college but going pro is a different level. I feel for him it’s hard shoes to fill. I was in a similar situation.
My dad played in the MLB as a journeyman on MLB teams and I was a great baseball player but not at his level. When I was in middle school and high school and if I didn’t hit a home room every at bat people would say “oh I thought you were supposed to be good.” I was good and still played at a major D1 program but I did not have my dad size, talent, or passion.
My grandparents told me my dad was obsessive with baseball would throw a tennis ball against a brick wall for house. Would ride his bike to the batting cages, would watch games and analyze players swing, would beg kids in their neighborhood to play, would make my grandfather pitch to him, jog the gym, constantly watched what he ate. I did not go to those lengths of obsession. I practiced hard but not in my off time.
With the exception of rare talents it takes a work ethic unlike no other to play at a pro level and stay there. Some guys I played in college with played in the MLB and they were just naturally gifted along with a passion and work ethic that could not be matched.
My dad told me in high school to be realistic with my goals. He was open about it day 1 saying it will be difficult for me to go pro and that heart is only one piece of the equation but some of it is natural talent and genetics.

One more thing that separates LBJ from MJ is that while MJ had hopes for his son’s basketball ability he was also realistic

Well even Lebron has talked about the fact that his son might not make the NBA. He said in an interview that he had a talk with Bronny about the NBA not being promised for Bronny or for anyone, so keep in mind this is something they talked about. That said, Lebron wanted Bronny to make it because he wanted to play with his son. I think he was realistic though, you just might not have been aware of this discussion.

Really dude, being realistic counts for what? MJ son was a bum, LeBron took a chance and basically stood behind him hoping he can accomplish something to get into the NBA. Saying MJ is realistic is the corniest thing to say

@@gangstaxufor sure... Cause he definitely wanted one of them Jeffrey or the other one to be at least a little bit like him. It's crazy that players that weren't that all stars had kids that kind of went on to be... And the ones who were didn't do that well or do anything period. Except GP and Hardaway🤔

thats called grace and blessings, and to answer your 7:20 question, the answer is yes.. not only for the james family but for families around the world, the nba, and the culture for years to come… to see a story like this goes beyond lebrons “legacy” regardless of how it ends up(championships or not).

Bronny is a pawn for any NBA team. It’s all about Lebron. Draft Bronny, attract his dad to play on the team.

LeBron constantly overestimating him puts unnecessary pressure on him and also makes him a target. If basketball doesn't work out for him he'll be fine with that generational wealth. LeBron needs to chill on the hype because it's likely getting into Bronnys head and affecting his play

Lebron should tell the Lakers that they should draft his son late. Bronny should take a minimum class load at USC to maintain his student status because he will need the degree, but play in the NBA for a rookie contract.
