I am 57 y.o. today (2023), one year younger than the Song. I am born and grew up in (West-)Berlin under protection of US, Britisch and French troops. Thanks for protecting our freedom. After the wall came down 1989 I though the world will turn peaceful - I was wrong 😢, it is the same sad world. I fear we are closer than ever to the eve of destruction. Ukraine , Israel .. what will be next? I don't want to imagine. BTW: for 20 years I was in contact with a Vietnam Veteran, he was drafted 1968, I was 2 years old, he was 18. Sadly he died 2017, but I am grateful for his friendship and what he told me about the war and all the horror he had to endure as a young man. Rest in Peace, Ken and thank you for all. We learned nothing ...

No point in weapons if they aren't going to be used, can't expect the public to pump trillions into the military if its not used, its a money making machine

    We never learn.

    • @RichardSparks-qy2rd

Yes, we never do learn. Have you ever asked yourself how we got here and what makes man do the things he does to other men. Whether you believe it or you want to hear man has been cursed by sin since the fall in Garden of Eden. Thed curse of sin has stained man ever since from one generation to the next. Whether you know it or not we are not in the end times but the last days. Israel is God's time clock, Bible Prophecy is on a collision course with current events. In
ancient times they said that all roads lead to Rome, why was that, they were the center of all things. They were and empire that controlled most of not all the world, they were the center of everythign when it came to law, culture and political structures. But I tell you now, that all roads lead to Jerusalem. All the countries in the world are going to gather to wipe Israel of the face of the earth. I could
give you all sorts of biblical propehcy but it would get lenghty and long. Everything I'm about to say can be Googled, do not take my word for it. We all know and sense something is wrong in this world as we wonder and wait as to when the next shoe will drop.Today you have received a great gift, a glimpse into the past, present, and future not the distant future but a future that is right before your eyes. Do you recognize the signs and the seasons that are all around us? The world is teetering on the precipice of time, you may not know it now but the
decisions you make or don’t make will have eternal consequences not only now, but in the life to come. for the next shoe to fall, what will happen next is hard to say. Did you know that Bible prophecy is on a head-on collision with current events three events in Israel were prophesized over twenty-seven hundred years ago. The first one was the destruction of the temple. In the
year seventy AD the Roman General Titus came into Jerusalem and tore down the temple where the Jews worshipped and sacked the city. Right now, there is a push in Israel almost two thousand years later to rebuild the temple everything is in place. the priests who will work within the temple have been trained, and all the implements of gold that have been fashioned by master craftsmen have
already been created. The Bible says that when the templeis rebuilt the Antichrist will go into the temple to proclaim himself God. He is out there somewhere who he is nobody knows, it says that during his seven-year reign, you will not be able to buy and sell or work without the mark. Not only will you not be able to buy and sell but when you take the mark it will be a mark of allegiance to him as a form
of worship. Amazon has created a Palm Scanner where you pay for your groceries with the palm of your hand. The truth be told whatever the final technology is irrelevant at this point I'm sure you could take almost any form whether it be having your palm scanned or having an implanted chip inserted just below the skin itself. All of this can easily be Googled, the Palm Scanner, people
having chips inserted into themselves in an attempt to go both keyless and cashless. As a collision between prophecy and current events let's step back for a minute. If there was a push to rebuild the temple as there is no way to give a man a mark it is
a non-event. If the technology was there to give a person a mark but there was no push by the people of Israel to rebuild the temple it is another non-event. Once the temple is built it must be cleansed according to Jewish law, a red heifer is killed and burnt and the ashes are used to purify the temple and the priests. For the first time in two thousand years five red heifer cows have been born, is it any coincidence after two thousand years since the destruction of the temple
there is a desire to rebuild it and at the same time five red heifers have been born? It is no coincidence, people say the world is all falling apart, the world no it is all falling apart everything is falling into place. The question I have for you is where are you going to spend eternity? The Bible says "We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Maybe you see yourself as a good person, the Bible says "There is not one righteous not one." The Bible says that our good works
are likely filthy rags before God. I guess if you're going to be redeemed you will need a Savior and that would be Jesus. If he is not the savior then who is? Trying to save yourself is like operating on yourself it just does not work. Our sins separate us from God, Jesus took on the sins of the world and paid the price when he shed his sinless blood on the cross of Calvary. The only thing you
can contribute to your salvation is your sin. God says when you call on me, I will be found, he can be found when we humble ourselves and call on the name of Jesus and confess our sins and repent of them and make Him both Lord and Savior of our lives. He gives you his Holy Spirit who will dwell within you and He promises you peace, joy, and eternal life with Him. Did you know that God already knows where you are going to spend but do you?
eternity, which may provide you with a sense of security and comfort or room for dread? The only thing you can contribute to your salvation is your sin. So, if you’re reading this today what will it be, business as usual and live for the things of the world, or find the floor with your knees confess your sin, and live with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords for eternity. To show you that the Bible is true and
you can look it up. John the Apostle of Jesus In the sixteenthth chapter in the Book of Revelations says the River Euphrates will dry up and two hundred miilion soliders will cross over the river to go to war. I will let you guess what country can field two hundred million soliders. Google it on You Tube my friend and find out the truth for yourself. If the Bible isn't true how could a man two thousand
years ago prophecize that a river would dry up and two hundred million soliders would crosss it and go to war. The other things like the mark of the beast and the rebuilding of the temple all in the Book of Revelations. As you think upon the things I have written has God been trying to speak to you through other things or people but you heart has been hard and you have not heeded his call on your life.

We can't. Because entropy also applies to our souls. We like to believe the lie that we can - that we are good - instead of asking for guidance on how we can all love each other. Because the lie - the lie is evil and we will choose it every time.

I missed Nam being born in 1956. Thank God.
Had two Brothers serve. Brother Jimmy (Navy) served 18 months of a two year enlistment in the Nam.
Brother Larry (Army) door gunner. And we know what that’s about.
Jimmy got the agent Orange and it racked his body as the years progressed.
Larry returned and got out then reenlisted to serve 23 years retired SM.
I was very proud of my two Brothers who left home to serve.
They never really talked about the experience.
    I respect that.

We came back to our country, who treated us like shit .For those of us who made it back to the USA, we were hated, for doing a war job we were forced to do. Yep, let Putin have what he wants in Europe, and Xi what he wants in Asia and the Pacific. Of course what they both want more than anything else in life is to reduce the US to the backwater it was in the 19th century. Of course all they need to do to achieve this is to displace the US dollar as the currency of world trade, and the first step in this process will be an isolationist USA.

I get in my moods now and then, and for some reason want to vent. I don't want to or like to talk about Vietnam. It sucked! I went from wearing a tux at My highschool prom to a uniform in just months. I also went from in a "semi normal" teenager to a hateful scared kid. I didn't ask for that shit. it was forced upon me. I'm mostly angry because of how it efected my parents. so this was for what? sorry I still really don't know.
