Excellent video of the pile driving operation. Perhaps the best pile driving video I have seen, with nice closeups of the ICE diesel hammer in operation, and just the sounds of a busy construction site, with no distractions, and uneccessary zooming in and out. The H-piles being driven in the deep excavation are quite long; I am guessing 130 feet long (2-65 foot sections welded together). Since the upper sections of the long piles did not appear to be driven to refusal before the pile caps were welded on, I wonder what kind of stratum they were driven in. I am guessing that this will be a mat slab foundation, going by the crushed stone (slab on grade supported by piles.) Great video, and love the ringing sound of those H-piles being driven! Thanks for posting!!
