"Memories of You," that song that plays during the end credits? Yeah, it's about a 50/50 chance it'll make me tear up, and I first beat the game (Fes version) over a decade ago. This game hits hard. Right in the feels.
P3 hits hard. One of the few games to ever legitimately bring me to tears. Even watching others play through this ending can get me misty eyed. It's Akinari's mom. Every time, lol.
I played P3 FES in 2009 and it never left me, to this day it is my favorite game and the finale hurts the same. About the next video, maybe do also some reactions to other social links you didn't finished? Also, watching the end song "Memories of You" with english lyrics would be cool, so you can understand how it relates to the ending of the game.

Yeah, the contrast during scenes is something I love as well. The final battle, while you're fighting a manifestation of Death itself, it's taking the time to explain to you the beauty of life. During the rooftop scene with Aigis, in your dying moments, she's expressing her newfound reason to live.
Ren/Joker at the end of his journey finds his new friend group that has the same goal, Yu Narukami finds his new best friend group, Makoto Yuki finds his new family.

what physically HURTS me is at the end, where Aigis is the only one who knows Makoto won't wake up anymore and the others don't realize--like imagining how they react as they slowly realize he isn't okay makes me nauseous
I kept expecting them to show their reactions/ the realization of Makoto's death and bracing myself for unbearable pain... being left in their ignorant bliss almost hurts more 😭

Was very curious why it was universe instead of world. Also crazy to think how many persona users are in the game. I read the trivia and was like no way but I see the sources 😂
I think Crystaahhl said it best when comparing Persona 3-5. “I like 3 for the message, 4 for the characters, 5 for gameplay and overall story.” I originally played FES and didn’t feel as connected to the charters due to the lack of voice acting. Reload fixed this problem and really does the original game justice (yes pun intended lol).
Persona 3 is the most accurate in terms of the tie between the theme and the tarot card. All the social links story really capture what a reverse arcana card means on their journey to reach their resolution at the end. Many of the social links in P3 has been misunderstood because how off putting they are at the beginning and even considered as the worst social links of all persona games (read: Kenji, Suemitsu and Maya). But actually, if we keep making bonds with them, we may find something that is fulfilling at the end. Persona 3 also successfully tells the theme and ties it to "Greek Tragedy" to the main characters, which are the Persona users, who in this game spread into 14 characters, from The Fool to The Death (10 in SEES, 3 in Strega and Pharos/Ryoji). The most well known phrase of Persona 3 is "Memento Mori" which means "Remember that you will die". But people tends to forget the next sentence, that is "Memento vivere" which means "Remember to live". That whole sentence is the real core of Persona 3 theme.
fyi, the end credits music is an original piece for the OST, you don't have to be worried about copyright strikes on it. Memories of You is a gem. All Persona game's OSTs use originally composed music that wasn't loaned out from another artist
Do you happen to know what the name of the song was that played when she was having the final talks with everyone? It sounds like a piano rendition of Memories of You, I love it sm.
and with this, the Journey is over, P3 is complete. but the story is far from over. the MC may have found his Answer but there's more behind that. too many unsolved questions, some that it's not even evident they have been asked there's much, much more story that is hidden, here, there, and resting somewhere else Respice post te. @@freezhie unfortunately not but the scenes Aigis has is so damn good. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll think she's badass. I'm genuinely shocked some scenes didn't make it to reload. She shares the spotlight with Makoto.

Such a bless witnessing a first time P3 player gets immersed so much to the story while at the same time understanding all the characters not only on what they show on the surface. I'm gonna ask you, who is your favorite social link in P3R and why is it Akinari? I can't wait to see your playthrough of The Answer in September. I attempted to play Persona 3 Portable but my game bugged on the final boss and I wasn’t able to beat it. So witnessing the ending for the first time, it broke me. But throughout the whole game, I felt things that I don’t like feeling. I’m pretty sure most people suffer from mental health issues (myself included) and because of that, this game hit home. Just like Persona 4 Golden did

Sadly, this pain will never truly go away. It's been 2 years since i first finished P3 and i still feel the sadness.
