Do they know how many units were affected? Hopefully those who were displaced get the help they need. Fire is scary, my family and i lost our home to a fire 4 years ago
Amazing response from volunteer and paid departments. Doesn't get any worse than a gas fed fire, in an apartment complex, with a report of a child trapped.
Glad the kid isn't hurt bad. If you're going to vent, vent over the fire, not way down' the roof. And vent from the leeward side first. It's basics guys...
No need to even vent the roof. Fire had been dealt with and horizontal ventilation works just as well and you remove the risk of firefighters falling off the roof.
@@andyoxleyonhistravels Yeah I'd say that since the main body of fire was on the first floor, there's probably little extension to the attic. Unless it went up a utility chase. But they still did it wrong.
@ffjsb If you look at the holes they cut, virtually nothing comes out and the roof timbers are almost clean. I know you guys like getting on roofs , but most of the time you can achieve exactly the same ventilation and not risk firefighters falling off roofs. Vent as near to the fire compartment as possible where the pressure is the greatest normally makes things easier for interior crews we have always found, but many ways to skin a cat I suppose.
WTF is up with spending so much time in the beginning doing shots of google maps?! I clicked off after six minutes after realizing they wouldn’t show anything from the ground. You can’t hear them talking.
Haha, it’s called a video with context, that audio is crucial to the video for it to make sense in the beginning I didn’t have any earlier arrival footage so it’s overlaid with the Google maps so you at least can see where the house is and what’s going on then it cuts to live footage to when I got there and there’s a bunch of ground footage keep watching. Sorry you have a short attention span.
There’s multiple angles of the house from the ground and air, not sure how much I coulda covered this fire from the time I arrived on scene. Maybe stop bitching and go film something better!
Some nice footage dude. These are some nicer looking apartments. They look well taken care of. You've come a long way with your videos. Good job!
Thank you
