Chanel reformulated this product due to new EU rules about silicones (in this case cyclopentasiloxane), not because they want to use more natural ingredients.
Lol, no kidding hey? They added coconut oil and then a bunch of other chemicals and perfumes. Chanel jumping on the natural product train was certainly not the first thing that came to mind when I heard they had reformulated with coconut oil. Not in the slightest 😂

I have them both and I also have the retractable kabuki brush you have. I also have found the old version more drying than the new one which I prefer.
I agree with you ! I did not buy the old version because I have dry skin and it looked patchy and I like the new formula better

I just got mines and absolutely love it! Never used the old formula so I can’t really compare.
I also never used the old formula and decided to give this a try I have extremely dry skin so I'm hoping this is going to work well for me. I've been really wanting to try out a cream bronzer for a really long time especially for the summer for those no makeup makeup looks

New subscriber. Best review of these products that I have seen so far. Other reviewers did not like it because of the coconut oil in it. I have dry skin. I had the old Chanel bronzer, & it was to drying for me. Plus, patchy on me as well. I gave it away. Now, I will buy the new one when I can.
I have very dry skin as well and bought this last week. Should be here Monday or tuesday I'm excited to give this a try

@@nofacemakeup7098 I think it's okay it's not exactly what I was expecting. I've heard that the liquid bronzer from charlottesilbury is 10 times better and I wanted to buy it but it's been sold out for a while.

@@nofacemakeup7098 Yes thats the one from CT I am talking about. I want to give that a try in the future for sure. I have only used the Bronzing cream 1-2 times so I don't have too much to say about it. Though I did expect a lot more from the product.
This video helped me with my decision. I won't purchase it. With the coconut oil it wouldn't last long on my skin 😔
The old formula looks much nicer imo.

what about the fragrance? do they both smell the same or does one smell better?
Ugh, I have drier skin, and I hate coconut oil. It clogs my pores something awful. I wish I had known this was being reformulated so I could have gotten a back-up, as I recently just hit pan on mine. I'm so crushed! 😭

I have never gotten my Chanel kabuki brush to be white again. It is permanently tan/pink...

i think that the new one, having a sheen, should't being put as a contour like you did, but upper on the high places of your face. contour should be mat, and this product is not mat at all..
I went to a Chanel counter today, and they looked exactly the same In the package! Both had shimmer in them!
Sadly I can’t use the new one because the coconut oil would make my skin break out like crazy 😔
Same, I have extremely oily skin, the new one just makes my makeup sliding off

1:18 obviously they got rid of the coconut oil in 2023. My new bronzer doesn’t have it
For the travel sizes they went back to omitting coconut oil. I do like that they have the choice for those that didn’t like the coconut oil in the formula
