I did pick a few NEW goodies from Chanel and I thought I would show you the differences between the OLD Chanel Bronzing Cream and the NEW Les Beiges Bronzing Cream as well as the Highlighting Fluid. PLUS- I did pick up a few of the Chanel Le Liners to try out! Just know- I am new to LIQUID EYELINER so I am learning a new skill!

Unfortunately the new formula contains coconut oil which is cheaper and some people tend to break out with it. I was very disappointed in Chanel as it’s not the same formula or colour and I’ve been using the Tan de Soleil for years!!! :-((. Enjoy your videos so keep them coming. Stay well. XO
Sharon - that is a bummer and so far I have had no issues with the coconut oil and love the new tone BUT - when I reached out to them they told me that it is re-marketed under the Les Beiges line and that the color formula was staying the same- so YES- that is a disappointment!! I hope you can scoop up an older version to have on hand. xoxo

Honestly I am so thankful they have the coconut oil because I am SO dry since starting chemo! I am loving the hydration and it doesn’t look muddy on my dry, dehydrated skin! Thank you for your videos I am a long time subscriber! Love you Abby!❤️

Hi, thank you for comparing the 2 bronzers. I purchased the Le Beiges new bronzer. The difference between the new and old is the intensity of the color. The old one is more intense and the les beiges is softer even when color is the same. Love all the products you compared and will try liquid eyeliner.

Hi Lady. I am a new subscriber. Love the vid. You are very real. And it was enjoyable. We all have different shaped eyes I am sure there is a wing style for you out there! One recommendation, if I may, to be helpful, I would use a rubber mat or place mat for your products to help buffer the noise made when you place products back down. I have green hazel eyes too and I am going to get the greenish and burgundy liner. Brilliant! I also have the old small liquid highlighter in the round jar and I never use it. It was nice to see a different point of view with the new Soleil tan de soleil Chanel. I have the liquid as well as the solid, and need to use it more. If you don't have the Milk bronzer, I highly recommend it. I use it the most out of my bronzers!

I watched Mel Thompson review it and she said that the new formulation has coconut oil which can be irritating and cause breakouts.
I just saw Mel's video as well, Syl. Happy I have plenty of the original version of the Soleil Tan de Chanel. The loose powder has been changed as well and Mel said she found the original still at Nordstrom so I went online and grabbed another since I was getting low and don't like the look of the new formula for the powder. The original powder did come in only three shades #20,30 and 40. The new formula powder comes in seven now......nice larger shade range but if the formula is different, did not want to chance it.
Oh that is a bummer for some. My skin is fine with coconut oil so I guess I am glad I have both! Thank you for sharing! I am behind on watching Mel's videos and reached out to Chanel for differences but had not heard back. xoxo

Great comparison of the bronzer and liquid bronzer. I love the old version of the bronzer balm and am enjoying the rosy drops from Chanel. The new sun kissed one looks good if I was not so pale so will wait and see it in person or get the pearly one.You did a good job with the liquid liners!

I am liking how the new bronzer looks on you. I had the old one at one time. The same with the liquid highlighter. I can’t wait to swatch the new bronzer. I don’t have a problem with coconut oil in any form, probably because I have dry skin. I would like to try the bronzy highlighter as well. Could wear these all year down here. I really like your gentle way and your taste is very appealing I absolutely the brands you choose to highlight what I don’t like is that your not a trained makeup artist!! Your too good not to be professional makeup artist. Oh well I will learn to be almost as good as you 😘
You can absolutely do a wing! You don’t have aging eyes, just a hooded lid. You’d need to look straight ahead with eyes open, and draw the flick over the little eye hood. Katie Jane Hughes has a great video on this. I’ll send it!!

LOL! I think it is probably good to get worked up over something other than Covid! I have not had any issues with the coconut oil but that ingredient is in many of my other 'clean' beauty brands-- so if it is no go then one less thing to buy. PHEW! xoxo

Good for you trying liquid eyeliner! It looks pretty! I can’t get a wing to work on my crinkly old lids. Maybe there’s an MUA who can offer us techniques on how to fake a wing. I just watched Mel’s video and couldn’t believe what the new version of the bronzer did to her foundation. After you had it on for a while did you notice it lifting your foundation?

It's on my TO DO LIST once they reopen. Literally. I'm hoping there's one somewhere in the bottom of a drawer. I checked websites and they're all removed. I literally Sat there dumbfounded. Whyyyyy... If you hear of anything, please keep me in mind! ❤️ I know the world is falling apart, but I expect to live and move forward and my skin is so pale and flat. I love bronzer, particularly this bronzer. I appreciate your video on this. I admit I haven't tried it. I'm not a fan of coconut oil. And I liked the color of the original more... It is just sooooo perfect. I don't get how people think it's too much for pale skin. It's so buildable and such.
I get lower brands substituting coconut oil. This is CHANEL. They should know better!!
they all looks beautyful on your face, I just bought the cream brozer and really enying eventhoug it looks little bit too orange for me and too large size , not sure how long will last for me ? now I used it before foundationit works even better and naturl looking .

Beautiful glowing skin! I have similar challenges with liquid eyeliner. I like the subtle look this one provides and am eager to see the other shade on you. I probably won’t purchase this time around as I’m thinking about getting the Chanel Huile de Jasmin face oil. I know it’s not a new release but I got a deluxe sample a while back and have just recently started using it and I’m really enjoying it. Am also eyeing some more of the Rouge Coco Flash lipsticks which you turned me on to btw:)

Ooh--- I love the PURGE!! So as far as blush - I love the Chantecaille powder blushes. IF you like a sheer cream - these Chanel Healthy Glow sticks are so pretty on the skin. I remember using the old one and one thing I wasn’t a fan of is direct sunlight, you could see some shimmer.... dose the new one have that shimmering effect too?

Hello Silver Jo! So to be honest- I go through phases- I used the Chanel Bronzing Cream forever and have a soft spot in my heart for it because I think it looks super natural on the skin. I am not a SUN PERSON - that that is how I get a bit of a tan. I love the Chantecaille Bronzers and I have it in GOA which is a bit deeper and love that for a bit of a deeper - chiseled out bronze look. It too will melt into the skin and look super natural. The Chantecaille does not include fragrance- so that could help your decision. I hope this helps. xoxo

Hi Abby: Since Mel said the Chanel loose powder ingredient panel had changed as well and metioned Nordstrom still has some of the original, I went online and ordered my #30 Natural. Also ordered the new Armani Luminous Silk concealer in Angela Van Rose's color #3. The Nordstrom beauty rep thought this would be best for me...we will see. Michele Wang uses the #4.5 but on the model arm swatches, that looked to deep for me. Have my Chanel cart ready to go.......want to wait for awhile yet but you know how that can go! ;) Also heard Neiman Marcus may be filing for Chapter #11. Sad.

Thank you so much for this review!! Yes, I have the old Chanel bronzer and mine needs refreshing too and I have to say I do like the new sheer maybe a touch lighter new one. It should work on my pale skin better even though I used the old one for years but I really had to be careful with it not looking orange! Good job on the eye liners, my skills on that leave a lot to be desired but I have to say the old Chanel liquid is my go to b/c it is easy to work with and I am glad to see they did not change how it applies!!! Hello! Yes, I have a few of the By Terry CC Serums and I would say they are awesome but definitely have the strong By Terry rose scent. The Chanel has the Les Beiges scent- and they are subtle. So the BY Terry has more options as far as colors but the Sunkissed in Chanel works better for my skin tone than the Sunny flash. I hope this helps. xoxo

Thanks Abby! I’m now thinking of trying the new cream bronzer. I had a love-hate relationship with the old one for years. Sometimes it works but I find it too orangey most times. Mine is many years old and I was thinking of tossing. The new one definitely looked less orange on you. I don’t think my skin reacts to coconut oil. I watched Mel’s video this morning and she didn’t like the new one for many reasons- it even seemed to break up her foundation. Our skin is all so different. I was thinking of passing on the warm eye palette. It’s very pretty but so similar to many that I own. Are you considering it as well as the lip balm in warm and the rouge coco flash in easy? I love both formulas but they don’t look unique. ❤️
Marjorie- we are SO on the same page! I truly love the new version and find it glides on to my dry skin easier and wear well and is very NATURAL looking and not orange- a bit more neutral. I also am eyeing that quad and admit to wanting it but know I don't need it. And I like both of the lip colors but truly do not need either. Let me know what you think and glad to hear from you. xoxo

The new Chanel bronzer now has coconut oil. Big no-no for me. Coconut oil causes breakouts for me. So sad cause the old formula is my holy grail.
That is such a bummer Shelly!!! I am so sorry I did not see that or note that in the new formula. I had reached out to Chanel to get the differences but had not heard back from them yet. I wonder if you can scoop up any of the old versions online.... xoxo

The new bronzer definitely doesn't look as orange and looks lighter...not as heavy. I have to try it once stores reopen. It reminds me more of the Sisley color now.

How do they compare to the By Terry Brightening Serums?
Vicki- I would say they are very SIMILAR but the By Terry has a few more shade options and these will have the Chanel Les Beiges scent versus the By Terry ROSE scent. The Sunkissed is similar to the apricot versus SUNNY FLASH which I find to be deeper than these sunkissed ones. I hope this helps. xoxo

Hello Abby, good morning! Comment related to coconut oil in the new bronzer. Most comments mention coconut oil breaks them out. But I have also read that it is drying to the skin. Do you find coconut oil drying? I have the bougie lip balm, Emile Cordon, and it just dries out my lips.
So coconut oil can actually have GOOD skincare benefits as well. IT contain lauric acid with is a medium fatty chain acid that have antimicrobial properties that can help protect against harmful microorganisms. Everyone's skin is going to be different and react different to coconut oil. Some people find they break out from it and others tout is as the best acne fighter out there! I find that coconut oil can be moisturizing and do use it on my body after dry brushing. The combo makes my skin baby soft. BUT I don't necessarily use it on my face all over. I do have many 'clean' brands that use coconut oil in their products and have not had issues but again- other's can't tolerate it. So unfortunately - this is a trial/error ingredient. I wish I had a more definitive answer for you. xoxo

I was sort of surprised that they did not come out with 3 different shades- at least! For some reason - I had it in my mind that they would. I actually think this is more sheer and a tad lighter - so works for my light medium skin but YES- I truly thought they were coming out with at least Light, Medium, Deep shades. Do they have the les beige scent in a perfume?
Crystal- I own several other items from the Les Beige line and there is a slightly different scent than the tradition Chanel beauty products. There is not a perfume but just a different scent in that line of products. xoxo
The problem with every comparison vid i have seen on this product is that no one takes into account that one product is recently manufactured and the other is several years old, used and subject to oxidation and other factors. Does anyone have any info on this?
Lesley- that is a great point. The reason I even bought the new one was because my old one- is at least two years old and thought that I should replace it. So yes- due to the age of product and such it could have oxidized a bit. Thank you for pointing this out. xoxo

The new bronzer does look softer and more neutral toned on video. It hasn’t arrived here in Australia yet, the Les Beiges line usually arrives here end of April but we are completely sold out of the original. Did it wear well? Mel Thompson doesn’t like it because of the coconut oil in it and it’s a little greasy. I’ve always found the original to be on the greasy side anyway and i have to powder over it.
Gianna- so it worked great for my mature skin type and I am dry - so cream products work well on my skin type. It wore really well throughout the day and I love the slightly more neutral undertone of this new one. BUT I was a fan of the old version too! I have never found it be a greasy product. xoxo

@@AbbyBlissWhite Abby! I just got the shade 116 Easy and tried it on and I am in love!! I found Boy to be a bit too cool toned and ashy on me and Chicness to be too yellow brown. Easy is perfectly neutral and more rosy than the other 2 and its beautiful. I think you would enjoy this color as well!! We have very similar taste :) thanks again for ur awesome reply

@@AbbyBlissWhite I know the Les Beige formula differs from the regular quads. I am not too sure if they are on par but I've seen people I'm the past say they lack pigment but its great for a buildable look thats easy to control. The colors in the warm quad actually looks really nice for spring summer and maybe even fall. I think Michelle Wang just showed it in a haul and I am waiting for her swatches!! Please do a video if u decide to pick it up!! :)
