Love the fact that these guys tuned out all the S9 bad mouthing, tuned out all the noise, went outside and created ! Truly showing what the camera is capable of, via actual results !
@@r.s.w.k4569 What you said is correct, someone probably could do that with an iPhone and not pay $1800 bucks. True ! Question for you though, can YOU do it with an iPhone ? If possible, please point me in the direction of the videos on your page, doing this...or something like this, and with an iPhone. I'll be here, waiting. lol.
there's 0 bad-mouthing on the s9 , the Lumix s9 is a horrible disgusting camera with a refurbished sensor that has acclaimed+- 30 positive reviews because Panasonic flew out or invited many shills to Japan, so far the only people who have more or less objectively reviewed this camera are gerald undone and camera conspiracies, I wouldn't be surprised if this video is also just product placement for this poor excuse of a camera
Awesome video! Thanks to you I picked up the lens you were using for $70 on eBay! Had no idea it even existed, glad to pick one up before they started to become hard to find
My issue with the S9 isn't the camera itself, just the lens selection. Outside of a handful of Sigma lenses, there really aren't many options that suit the compact nature of the camera. I have a few Panasonic L mount lenses, and can't imagine how front heavy they would be on the S9. Just seems like an ergonomic nightmare. Hope they continue with compact FF cameras, but they flush out compact lenses as well.
I feel you for sure. This 7artisans one I'm using is really cool, but front heavy and no longer for sale haha. The Lumix 1.8 primes aren't too front heavy but they're just long. Really want sigma to make some actual pancakes for L mount.
I love when you hand out with Conor 😂 And you're using Lumix gear! Great video 🫶🏻 Also had no idea there was a digital X pan mode that's actually so sick
Most people prefer to be scammed with Sonny bully behavior. People that want the right tools inside their camera knows Lumix obliterate competition, especially with the new G9II / S5II/X
People are overthinking if the S9 is mediocre or not; due to the lack of EVF, weather sealing, hotshoe, and mechanical shutter. I bought it primarily due to its size and it's now my daily driver, while my A7R IV is only for serious shooting. It can fit in my cargo pants pocket without even trying (Sigma 45mm included), and the pictures with the LUT presets are out of these world!
@@lucaonadventure I like sensory feedback from a camera. When I press the shutter button I wanna feel something. Happiness, some resistance and hopefully inspiration. The S5II is none of those things for me IN PHOTOGRAPHY. Fantastic video camera. But the most unrewarding photo experience I’ve had to date. Not including all of the ways on a menu/ergos side that it’s just made with photography being an after thought.
If you guys are using manual lenses, I'd love to see a shoot-out between the Sigma fp and the S9. Especially with the new super-compacts from Voigtlaender: 28mmF2.8 (106g) and 50mmF2.2 (135g).
Hey, was wondering if the Electronic Shutter had ruined or made some photos impossible ? That's very the thing that concerns me. Past GFX 50R user, the electronic shutter was useless to be honest.
I shot a corporate event indoors in very low lit venue with my S9 and the electronic shutter was fine. Only time I noticed banding is when I shot at high shutter speeds like 1/500 sec
@@chronocross85 It's not much the banding but on the 50R unless above 1000/sec if you have anything moving in the image it's becoming warped ! Same as a MF Hasseblad without shutter. No problem like that ?
@@r.s.w.k4569 So far I've only shot street photography, conferences and weddings with my S9 and I haven't noticed any rolling shutter. But also whenever I use my S9 for weddings its mostly shots of people not doing much movement. I dont use my S9 during receptions when people are dancing because it has no hotshoe mount for flash. I'll switch to my Canon R3 or my S5II for action shots. S9 has become my everyday out and about camera because I can just shoot and the photos will automatically upload to my phone. I dont have to worry about editing them because of the real time lut feature. I wouldn't use this camera professionally by itself tho. This camera is a good 2nd or 3rd cam. My biggest gripe about this camera is actually not having a hot shoe and no viewfinder. I thought I would hate electronic shutter but so far it hasn't pissed me off...yet
I am married to my Gh5. When I went online looking for a fling I ended up with another one. None of them seem to bother. Even had a threesome a couple of times.
I love watching you squint trying to see the screen in the back. I get it though, you create content for views and mobilization, dont blame you for making a video that appeals to s9 owners

Could’ve done all this with an iPhone and you don’t have to pay ridiculous 1800 bucks additional for camera and kit lens.

Every S9 video I watch, I fall more in love. Can’t wait to get one as a content cam!

@@ZachMayfield Personally, I'd love some F3 or F4's in a similar size to the F2 line up that Fuji has.
I just got a LTM-to-L mount adapter and am using Soviet-era rangefinder lenses, that are ridiculously small!

super compact 18-40mm Lumix zoom incoming .... October this year

such good vibe!
Great video. I think you’ve convinced me to get the s9. I’ve never seen a Zeiss lens before and it looked amazing. Which one was it?
You can always rent the S9 as well before buying!
Tempted to get one because of its small form factor and minimalist design. Plus it's full frame.

This was fun! Increase the time limit for recording (firmware update?) and I think I could love this camera.
If shooting photos on my S5II felt better than poking a dead corpse with a stick I'd use it for photography, until then it's my go to video camera.
yeah that cam def feels goofy for photography
Why don’t you like the S5II for photography?
Currently debating my future upgrades
