Love the fireplace addition...so homey!!! It all looks good Jeremy and I think your dad would approve!!! You're making this house your home and bringing your family memories right along with you!!!! Sending all good wishes from Ohio!!🎉❤😊
Add some yellow and green with the purple flowers ❣️ And I agree a pocket door would have been nice❣️I would love to see like french doors in the dining area that could some day open up to a patio or deck or even a screened indoor porch could be so much more living space ❣️🥰 I am really enjoying these videos you have such a nice calm voice.Cant wait to see whats happening next,🥰😍
Your daughter is going to Love having her own room. At first I thought remove that wall between kitchen and living room, but you are right leaving it the way it is, I've read the open concept is not as popular as it use to be. Thank you for taking the time to show us your new home and you'll have all the sweet memories with your dad ❤
The house is looking great! The only thing I would have done differently is in your daughters room just have an accent wall pink and the rest maybe cream colored. It’s really too pink. But to each his own. ❤️
Everything is looking so nice. I absolutely love the large windows in the living room, dining room, and bedrooms. Natural light coming in is so wonderful. As others have suggested, the closet by the fireplace would be so great for extra storage.
Great idea on adding the fireplace. I agree with other posts to make the closet into open shelving and storage for blankets, games, etc. The door takes away from the fireplace.
Your daughter is going to love having a pink room, I would put a bookcase next to the fireplace. I think a door would distract from the fireplace and TV wall. I love the big windows in the front room and dining room. Thank you for sharing the progress of the house and your Dad’s collection and antiques.❤❤👏🏻👏🏻
We have a Great Wolf Lodge in Florida. My 3 yr old and 5 yrs old grandchildren LOVED it!!!! It is a great place for families with children of all ages. I want to say that I love the wall with the window. You can see into the living room and out to the front yard while in the kitchen. Having the wall leaves you room for that chair or couch along with a side table. Having an open concept living room and kitchen...you find yourself going around things (I dislike my open concept). I like the fireplace/TV area. Thinking things through...I might have deleted that entry closet and pushed the fireplace/tv unit further back...but what is done is done and guess what? It still looks great!!! Meat grinders? That is an odd thing to collect. I do like the lamps and tea sets--they are all beautiful.
His bathroom is behind the fire and but at the side is a small cupboard. I think it would be great as an open shelving with down lights - would bring the tv and fire wall "all together"
Totally agree with keeping the house basically as is. Your parents understood the limits of open living with regard to placing furniture so build on their experience. You are so fortunate to have the extra room for storage and potential hobbies/ interests / collections outside the main living areas. I admire that you are honouring your parents by taking time to decide what to do with their ‘treasures’ instead of just tossing it all out. Your house is very reminiscent of the so called ‘ranch style’ houses’ built here during the 1970s, down here in Australia. Love the accent BTW.
Everything’s looking so good. Your fireplace is gonna be beautiful with your TV above there. I can’t wait to see it finished and that shed is full of amazing things. You have a gold mine there. Wow all the meat grinders. Thank you for sharing it.❤
Great video. The house is really looking good. Your dad's collection of meat grinders is so awesome and most unusual. I would just leave them there since meat grinders are such a cool antique. Thank you for sharing.
The kitchen looks way bigger with that peninsula being straight instead of at an angle. Like the tile in the bathrooms and the color is really good, looks like a green blue. You also have some amazing windows.
We live in California and there are 2 GREAT WOLF LODGE we have never been to the one in SAN FRANCISCO but we heard it was beautiful we have been to the one in MANTECA and your daughter would truly enjoy herself 😊🎀👍 and the house is coming together really nice 👍
The kitchen looks a lot better opened up like that. Good decision. And great Wolf's lodge is a good place for the family. We had fun the only problem we had we had a reservation and when we got there. We waited 4 hours because they couldn't find it other than that great place to go.
Meat grinders!?! lol That's great! First time I've heard of someone collecting them! Love all the changes thus far on the house. I can't wait to see it when it's finished!
We have an open room (kitchen/great room). Wish it was separate so I can hide the mess in the kitchen at times. Love seeing your updates. Looking nice!
I really like the color of the tiles in your bathrooms. And, your kitchen-dining room is going to be nice. Also the fireplace insert will be very nice.
I still feel sad about you covering the original fireplace it was so beautiful but i must say youre doing a great job with the reno that land is so awesome ❤blessings to you and the family
These are interesting videos. Thank you for sharing. I just accidentally came across your channel a few days ago. I watch a lot of old home renovations, homesteaders, antiques and enjoying your content. Your house is nice. I happen to have a meat grinder that belonged to my grandmother. I’m a retiree living about 20 miles west of St. Louis.
The house is coming along so nicely and the shed with the antiques is very neat. As for the Great Wolf Lodge I totally recommend going, It's a lot of fun but somewhat pricey but you can build some great memories and all the water slides they have are awesome if you enjoy being in water.
Everything looks so nice and will soon be ready to move in. They have done such a great job with the reno. Your daughter's room will make her so happy, the purple flowers will be the icing on the cake !! Thanks for the update !!
Your dad’s house is coming along looking good . Loved seeing in shed . Your Dad was a great finding great antique’s . Love seeing all your videos. For Great Wolf 👍 heard it’s fantastic, planing a trip soon with my grandkids.
Why not slide that mammoth fridge closer to the sink and continue the counter and shelving on the opposite side of the fridge. This way there is a wider walkway between the fridge and wall oven.
Thanks for the update, Jeremy. I had to laugh when you showed us the wall of meat grinders :-D I've never heard of anyone else collecting those but they look good! I don't believe it would look good removing that wall between your living room and the kitchen. Besides, you'd be back to square one having nowhere to place furniture, would lose a ton of storage space in the kitchen. Also, there would be nowhere to put the oven and microwave unless you got rid of the L shaped bench configuration and put in an island bench between the kitchen and living room. You did the right thing leaving it as it is. Way cheaper and more practical.
Black faucets would look really good in the bathrooms. I like the idea of that folding table in the laundry room. I think you might be doing wainscoting in the hallway and dining room maybe but I am just guessing. Everything is looking good.
The one issue with the new fireplace is that people will walk into home and walk right in front of fireplace, in front of tv. Secondly, how far is the tv from the couch? It seems like it could be pretty far. People say to make shelving where coat closet is, but then you would be losing a closet.
@@shbhchwh My dad has his tv there on that wall also. He just had the fireplace behind him blocked by his furniture. We saw the tv fine from where we sat so I’m sure it will work out fine lol. I believe that closet will just be used for coats and such. So we will probably just use it in the winter. So maybe a few months out of the year. Shelves would be a good idea though if the closet wasn’t there.
@@barkervlog had you made a door in your "Laundryroom/mudroom" instead of the kitchen door at the back, you could have had more space in the kitchen to move the fridge down where the door currently is and add countertop to the space where the fridge is now. I'm sure it would have been costly though - that's what I do best - look for ways to spend money 😂
How about a small barn door for your living room closet. The workers are not caring for your original hardwood floors very well. They should have them covered. Weather you are planning to use them at this time or not. I like the oak furniture in the shed. You have some nice things.
Are all the outbuildings on the property full of stuff also? Have you considered hiring a reputable auctioneer to have an auction and clear out all the stuff. Would be a good way to get it all done and make some money.
New sub. Love the vids brother. Great reno. Hey, how about selling me those Tonkas from your great grandparents place. Let me no if possible my man. Thank.
Hi Jeremy, Your house is definitely coming a long nicely and looking good! So exciting watching rooms and such come together so well. Wow,,,all those beautiful meat grinders,,what a great collection! Yeah why wouldn’t you just leave them where there at, not in the way at all or not taking up much room on either side of the shed! Well unless you and your wife hate them , that’s different lol I seen a lot of super nice antiques in the shed,,just wow! Yeah enjoying your videos very much, until next time, later ❤
I have been a Great Wolf Lodge it was wonderful. But honestly way overpriced. The closet in the living room I would put shelving on it for pictures or books
I enjoyed watching your updates to your dad’s house. Everything is coming along nicely. Are you going to close in the square opening to the kitchen? It would make the living room its own space. Your dad had a nice collection of antiques. Leave the meat grinder collection hanging as memories of your dad.
I seen a video in uk of a lady who had an opening like that only it was to the floor - she didn't want a glass door so installed a big window with black lead squares - it was stunning.
Im a bit confused. You cover up a fireplace just to put a fireplace in some where else. I would suggest a hidden door for your closet so it just looks like the wall and not a door.
@@dorenann1966 the real fireplace maybe got used once my whole childhood. With the real fireplace in the location it was in there really wasn’t a way to set up the living room in a good way. If we sectioned it off with the regular fireplace would have been a tiny little living room lol. So we decided to add in a fireplace in a space that would work for us.
You could put a small bifold door for the closet in the living room. 💞
That is the nicest shed I have ever seen, the meat grinders was the last thing I would have thought of for a collection 😂.
lol

You could make that closet by the front door some deep shelving with pocket lights. Board games, books, baskets for art supplies, gloves, scarfs, etc
That was my thought also!
Great idea!
No door. Make it more of a statement piece, maybe one of your dad's treasured pieces could go in there.
Put up an accordion door on it the closet that’ll save space and I’ll still look nice
Noooooo, they look terrible.

You need cabinets in the laundry room ❤
