Absolutely fascinating, so much history there. Love the painting. Amazing that your uncle still has the Thomas Edison portrait. Wouldn’t it be lovely if someone did this up,nice and children were able to use it as a community centre for play and meeting friends . Thank you. Love your videos, cannot wait to see progress on your Dad’s house ❤
My Dad told me that when he was in high school in the 40’s kids would bring their hunting rifles to school to repair and clean them..there was a sand pit behind the school where they would shoot targets..crazy to think of that today
Jeremy thank you for showing the Edison school. So glad I found your channel love seeing vintage buildings and love watching what your doing to your family home. It's going to look beautiful when you are finished
Sad the community doesn’t come together and restore it and bring back to life . They did that to the old school house my mother’s family attended . It’s now a Community Center ❤
Omgosh my heart was racing when you were walking on those floors but WOW the history and the items left inside this schoolhouse. If the walls could only talk I'm sure so many stories would be told. All the old school chairs and old desks were awesome to see, the numbers on the floor were so cool. Thank you for taking the time to share this old schoolhouse.
Three thousand subscribers in a week ?? that is fantastic !!! I love how you insert pictures of the past into the present. It's fun to see what places looked like back in the day when in use. A reminder of where we were and where the path is leading you now. Keep up the good work, it only gets easier from here !!! Thank you for sharing, I just subscribed and notifications are on ☺
This is so awesome,, old desks, chairs, etc. Its hard to imagine over 100 school children in there at one time and I"m sure it crowded. That stove and fridge was probably there to make breakfast and lunches. Yes, I'm interested in old buildings and such. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Jeremy! Thanks for the tour of the old Edison school house :-D What a pity it couldn't be maintained. I keep thinking about all those children and only one outhouse - especially in winter!
Back in the mid 60's in Comfort TX half of our classroom was 5th grade and 6th grade, no divider in the room, Mr Bergmann was our teacher and my God he was a saint, how he taught and managed two grades in one room blows my mind, I was a total madman yet he keep me under control, God bless you Mr Bergmann. I bet if you got under this school you would probably hear footsteps just like at your grandparents house or maybe children playing.
Thank you so much! Amazing to see so much history in the little schoolhouse. I hope somehow someone can save it! Maybe you could purchase that old stove and use in an outbuilding. I think it would be great to own a piece of that history! Really enjoyed this, keep them coming! Have a Great weekend!
Its a shame that the place is just about ready to fall in. Once it is gone , its gone forever. I am not sure if it is worth saving , it has been through many changes in the past 100 years and is just a shell of what it used to be. And yes , lets see some other things around your area!
I love history my favorite subject in school. This was so interesting, you can just imagine the student sitting at their desks looking at the blackboard and the old wood burning stove to keep the students warm. This would be so cool if someone would restore this building for its historical integrity. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, can you imagine the stories told by the students back then. Yes please continue making content about older buildings. My sister in law lives in a very small town in Tennessee not to far from Kentucky in an area they called the holler. And there are quite a few of,them there.
Whoever owns this should fix as it is historically a treasure to have, it would be a beautiful piece of history, I hope you can update us on the progress of this gem of a property, thanks for sharing ❤
Wow! 10 cents a day tuition. That sounds like a lot for that era of time. It would be tough if you had 5 or 6 children going to school everyday. I suppose that was before school taxes began.
Just subscribed, thank you for showing us the Edison School House it was so very interesting and the facts you have made the history come alive. Your presentation is very good. Living in England it is interesting to see some American history. Look forward to more videos.
I love those lights. Desk. Shelf...2 couches. I'm sure the couches are 100 perfect more comfortable than todays cheap made stuff ...I love the the stuff and the school house tour
Great tour video. I love stuff like that. That old woodstove that you're talking about. I don't know the name brand but they're the called potbelly stove. You are very brave to be walking on that floor I must say.
I'm pretty sure that's a pot belly stove and the bucket I believe was to put the ashes in. The little ash shovel was probably over there somewhere. Love the video. Thanks
Wow that Fridge was made by General Motors and if you worked there you got a discount if you bought the fridge, the electric stove I had one my aunt gave me the kelvanator i got it around 1977 she had it from the 50's it was so cool with the back left burner having a deep pot down in it to cook beans on, or whatever you wanted...the round heater stove looked like one my granny had, it was called a FATSO and it was written across the front, but that didn't have it on it. Would love to restore that along with those appliances. That wood burning/coal stove would need new grates and it could work another 100 years probably.
OMG, that was awesome, I love the turquoise paint color. Could the schoolhouse become a historical building? ❤thank you for showing us. Yes, please show us more content. What state are you located in?
You have such a calming voice your channel will go far!!!! Much success to you and your wife and daughter!!!
Came across your video and subscribed to your channel. Really enjoyed your video. What a cool old school house! Looking forward to your next video.

Jeremy is absolutely incredible the school seating around since 1800. Buddy ❤
Jeremy, Thank you! Please ask the town council to preserve this historical building!
Places of history should become museums and there should be a law that forces that state to maintain the property. Thanks for showing.
My Dad told me that when he was in high school in the 40’s kids would bring their hunting rifles to school to repair and clean them..there was a sand pit behind the school where they would shoot targets..crazy to think of that today

What a shame it's gotten so dilapidated, they need to restore it as a historical sight.

I like the simplicity of the antique door knob on the outhouse! 😅
Love anything old and Vintage Jeremy. So glad I found your channel.

Love all your videos. Interesting . Good luck with everything you do in this New Year. From Texas 😊
Wow that is a good walk to the outhouse. Especially in cold and rainy conditions.
Is that old wood stove what they used to call a pot belly stove? Fascinating content! ❤❤❤
I thought potbelly stoves were round but idk
If nobody restores it, please buy as much as you can for your house!!!
Whoever owns this should fix as it is historically a treasure to have, it would be a beautiful piece of history, I hope you can update us on the progress of this gem of a property, thanks for sharing ❤
The one in the first room looks like an Ashley wood stove. My parents had that one in our house in the 1970s.

Needs preservation...Wouldn't be that huge to start with a metal roof to save the interior.
I would love more content like this.
Wow how amazing it s a shame no one ever kept it up someone should restore it for the history
That school would make a nice Tiny house
What a great historical landmark. Sure the water damage would be easy to fix. Do you know who owns the property?
Thank you for sharing Edison School , please do more ❤

Wow, that’s amazing. I hope somebody restores the ceiling at least to try to save it. Wow thank you so much for sharing that.❤
