@@HammMann No disagreement there, and Alonso with the Aston Martin last year is further proof of Driver VS Machinery. Look at him VS Perez at Brazil last year. If the driver can't learn to master its strengths, they'll never do well, but it's also foolhardy to say that it doesn't affect the outcome at all. Now is Lewis a bad driver? I say no because if you compared him to any average joe driving around, he'll beat them all the time. Hell, ANY F1 driver will beat an average joe. Is he the best? Far from, and now we see his real potential inside of machinery that no longer has that dominant edge.

Its actually easier when you have a slower ride because all of the AI is downgraded then aswell. You literally used a "cheat code" everybody that doesnt have time to get stuck on this race uses. This is pretty well known once you downgrade the car the ai is easier. If you have a fully tuned car the AI is absolutely horrid in this race.
@@srxt6758 I'm pretty sure that a stock neon cannot beat the other cars in this race (being stock as well) due to the base top speed, accel and handling assigned to these cars. If the ai would downgrade itself upon choosing a slower car then the stock neon should win every drag race in the underground mode too, which it doesn't.
My first ever playthrough of this game I also got it first try. To be honest, I don't know why everyone says this one's harder than Event 95. There's no traffic here and that's the one BIG thing that ruins races in this game.

It's this or Event 95. I think they're both equally horrid as one has traffic to screw you over in the most critical spots, while the other is just misery for 7 laps on a track that should be simple to win on.

Event 103 has no traffic lmao. If it did, this would be far harder to beat.
rubberbanding in this game... holy hahah
ended up having to run this on medium as my civic just couldn't handle the banding(was my starter car) even medium enduced rage beyond belief
This one's a doozy on all difficulties
This Race is a fokin RNG
I love this DC2 sooo much 🥹🫶
You’re better than me. As a kid I always ran into the columns in the tunnel 😭😭😭
If I'm really pushing, I sometimes clip those pillars, so I know that pain real well
@@Choccykituwu yea talk about childhood trauma
dude.... when I was 5 years old I kicked my dad's RX7 in the butt with a sentra
@@bm-redmoth back then you could use any car to beat the game which was the best part. None of the cars where broke or op like in the newer nfs games man
The pillars in the tunnel were always my worst enemy outside of the al when I was a kid. I would miss most of them then run into one off them😂😂😂
dude... currently event 103 is already an easy event today (it may be because I already beat the game almost 5 times) but if it were back in the day between 2004 - 2009, you would be right because of the exaggerated rubber banding and because there are 7 laps
(I had to use Google Translate because I don't speak English)
Seems we both didn't really have many issues with this event

Lewis Hamilton: Yeah your vehicle is important, but at the end of the day, it's about the driver and not the car.
*_Lewis Hamilton Circa 2014-2021:_* 0:46
LMFAOOOO YES. God, I'm so glad the Merc domination arc is gone, but now it's red bull... aaaaa when will F1 be fun again!?
@@Choccykituwu IMO the difference is that Verstappen has proven himself even in inferior machinery, while Hamilton had the luck of the gods for the majority of his career. The RB19 and RB20 are dominant, but nowhere NEAR the dominant era of the mercs. If Lewis would want another close season battle with max, not only would he NEED to be in the red bull, but max would need to be in, like, the aston martin. THEN it's close.
@@HammMann No disagreement there, and Alonso with the Aston Martin last year is further proof of Driver VS Machinery. Look at him VS Perez at Brazil last year. On paper he should've never been able to do what he did, but he did it anyways! The car is merely a tool for the driver to utilize.
@@Choccykituwu I personally couldn't have said it better myself.

Ahh the fever dream I remember.
Great video❤
This was tough but the tram 7 laps event was tougher
i beat this race on 2nd try i was so scared that matt overtake me good thing he messed up
Hahaha the corner at 2:00 is ridicolous :D
Extreme 200 MPH grip hax!
was maining a supra on my last run in this game and this race was just so insufferable to beat that made me look for a tier list online and well,no wonder why the supra feels like a useless boat,it's is the worst car in the game by a long margin to the second worst, they really screwed my boy in this game lol,but yeah, with the right car this race feels a bit less chaotic lol
It can probably still be done in the Supra. It just needs way more defensive driving and perfect racing lines. Basically, absolute zero room for error.
the 350Z and Golf are slower, but that's about it
Miata and RX-7 are good choices and avoid the Skyline for this race too it washes out in the corners if you let off the throttle
Good job man :)
Everytime I lead the first 6 laps then they rubber band the fuck out of me and overtake me last lap
I have a guide to this event if you think it could help you with that.
Would turning catch up off help with this game? I noticed once I did that in single player they back off but idk about career mode
Catch Up only affects races outside career mode. it is on in career mode by default and cannot be changed
@@Choccykituwu Yeah that's why these race get ridiculous later on
So where is meme song - drdrdrdrdrdrdrdrd dd drdrdrdrdrdrdrd
Because I know exactly what song that is via this amazing description.
Song before the event started: "crush" - Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion OST
Song when the race first starts: Pokemon B/W Elite Four battle theme
Song after I say "You think you know how this ends, huh?": Pokemon B/W Dark Cynthia Theme
Song after I spun out the 350z on the final lap: You are my Wonder
free run mode saves lives man, to beat this one, you need to know the racing line better than you know your mom
After doing this video and gathering various situation footage for my guide, this event has nothing to surprise me with
Just beaten it first try right now. Stock dodge neon. 8:09.06. Songs played: Snapshot, Who's Who, Swallow.
The culmination of that with the rubberbanding (or lack thereof) plus the track layout is the real challenge proposed as i went ahead. If the ai would downgrade itself upon choosing a slower car then the stock neon should win every drag race in the underground mode too, which it doesn't.
Personally found #95 harder to beat now that I have just beaten the game.
95 is definitely harder because of traffic. 103 is literally your fault if anything goes wrong
@@Choccykituwu The traffic had me rethinking my life decisions deep down knowing I picked hard for the extra money
@@BubbleGumGuy-gx1xj The traffic in this game is extremely evil
@@Choccykituwu Had me screaming
“WHY ARE YOU STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROAD”

@@BubbleGumGuy-gx1xj Seen that happen so much in drag races
does hard make any difference to driving or does it just make the rubberbanding obscene?
The rubberbanding is relentless regardless of difficulty. It changes nothing.
Easy difficulty means that it'll be easy for Matt to outrun you.
Also I feel like I know the sound from 1:51
From Max Verstappen's team radio a few years ago
Wow, your car is so fast!
It's funny you say that because except for the last lap, I was purposefully going slow. But yeah, the Integra is quite fast in this game
i somehow clutched this event on my frist or second try LOL
My first ever playthrough of this game I also got it first try. To be honest, I don't know why everyone says this one's harder than Event 95. There's no traffic here and that's the one BIG thing that ruins races in this game.
This is how I feel even on easy lol I am a noob aaand my controller is very old (ps2)
There's no shame in knowing you're not good at a game. Keep at it! You can beat it! I also have a guide to this event on my channel if you think it'll help, but keep in mind if you're on console, the mirror tip I give won't work unless you use bumper cam because I forgot to say a mod I had enables it for all the car cameras.
outro circuito que é muito dificil de passar é o 95, quase perco os cabelos
Frickin Matt
So funny man =))
This game rubberbanding is a joke

Easily one of the worst events in the game ever. Saw things through and through on how bullshit the rubberbanding is on this one
It's this or Event 95. I think they're both equally horrid as one has traffic to screw you over in the most critical spots, while the other is just misery for 7 laps on a track that should be simple to win on.
Event 95 can be done without even restarting once and driving a different car, as long as its not a Skyline. Or do the method of putting stock perf parts and the opponents will do the same
@@tuna8181 I know about the stock performance method. It's just stupid you have to go out of your way to beat the event through unintended methods.
So true.
I like your style
