      @AttwoollsCoUk Mike, which tent would you recommend for me living in the USA? I need it to fit at the most 3 or 4 people. Maybe polyester I think. I'll probably camp maybe 2 times a year. Spring and fall. I hope not summer ever again lol. I hoping not to go when it's really rainy. Air beam only. I've watched a lot of your videos over the last week and a half. I just recently learned about air beam tents because of your videos. I'm a big fan.

    I bought the anantara iv tc and live in the USA. Best tent I've ever bought. Polycotton is truly a game changer. I've camped for 2 weeks with no issues. Never had to pump the airbeams up during that time. And very comfortable living space. Thanks for the videos. It really helped me make a decision.

      I'm so glad you posted. I live in the USA also. I'm interested in purchasing an air beam tent. How do you feel about your tent today? Where did you order it from? Did they ship it to you in the US? Did you have to pay any extra shipping fees?

      @@csw128 love it. This is my 4th season camping with it. Once you blow it up, you don't have to put more air in it at all. And that is 5 days of use. It is high quality. The only downside is it is heavy. But it is the ultimate family tent.

    Thanks - a really good description of the differences - thinking of getting a PC awning - this really helps

    Great video. I just visited your store and I must say.....wow! I wish we had something similar here in the states. I have not seen anything close to this level of product setups or such a full stocking of camping, hiking products. I am amazed but jealous. We have Bass Pro and Cableas who do not have their tents on display. You simply get a good look at the few boxes of pretty junky tents and I do mean just a few. They have fallen a long way. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and I will browse the store.

    Hi. You said that it's important to 'treat' a polycotton tent before first use by saturating it with water and then allowing it to dry. But we don't all have a garden where we can do this. What do you suggest in these circumstances?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can opt to do this when you are away but there is a slight chance that you may get some water come into the tent. You could look to take it to a local part on a day when you know its going to rain a bit, that way you can pitch it in the dry, let it get wet and then dry out.

    I’m looking at an Outdoor Revolution Cayman Combo for my campervan. I’d be putting the awning up myself and would prefer the PC version- but will it be manageable- I’m a 5’2” woman. I know it’s an air awning and that would help, but the 27kg weight worries me!!

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If weight is a concern then I would opt for the polyester model or Vango have got a new Cove TC model coming out soon which is a little bit lighter. You have to bare in mind that the awning will get heavier if it is wet as well.

    Is there a reason that polycotton tents don't come pre-seasoned with a good soaking, in the way that some fabrics would be pre-shrunk before making a garment, therefore not shrinking in the wash?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately not as the additional cost to do this before the item is made wouldn’t make it cost effective. With the Polycotton mix you don’t get the same level of shrinking that you would in a full cotton tent.

  • @barukkazhad8998

    If you dont wet the polycotton before you camp will it just seal itself when it rains when you camp?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can let rain water get it wet to seal itself when you camp but the first time the tent gets wet it has the possibility of letting water in. So ideally you want to do this before you go away if you can.

      @AttwoollsCoUk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@barukkazhad8998 it’s hard to say. It shouldn’t let in too much but it depends on how heavy the rain is.
