A lesson hard learned for many: The longer you faff about and don't deal with the threat you know you need to deal with eventually, the longer it has to chip damage on you. If you don't nut up and fight it early, it may be too late to recover.

This is the extra aspect hardcore adds to classic. It’s called “fear of dieing”. As someone who played RuneScape before wow, the idea of respawning as a ghost and running to your body and only losing a 10% durability fee, was fucking easy. I was used to losing my whole inventory and gear minus my 3 most valuable items. Hardcore takes that bonus away and replaces it with perma delete.lmfao

Having the chance to drop gear - thar took you literal months to get, a stupid amount of exp - depending on the level could take a few hours, or a few weeks to get that % back.
It’s been so hard to find a game to get into for awhile because what the fuck fun is it to have no difficulty, and zero punishment.
Sounds like a real messy house that should be cleaned up kappa
lol so many people are completely delusional if they believe they could win this tournament, no binds, clicking their spells, bad calls in combat, and no awareness. They're gonna end up fighting glads and rank 1's that have years of experience.
Can't win if you don't play fam
you never know if those rank 1s make mistakes and lose their toons

no doubt the actual contenders you can count on one hand.............but you never know if they'll come up against a class they can't beat as the tourney goes.
@@Mintteacup_ its about the money not about fun. Ask any contender n theyll say they're playing for the chance to win. Maybe theyll have fun on the way but thats not required, its just that people are dumb n dont know how to play because they usually just afk normal wow

My favourite part of these clips is being able to so clearly discern the tipping point, when they're still alive but they've dithered too long, it's too late to run, death is guaranteed and you can see in their eyes they know it's only a matter of time

And now they have learned what wow players learned waaaaaaay back in the day. You can't skip packs in that room for a reason. The reason is because he will ALWAYS run around to aggro the other packs. How do you play on hardcore and not know the fights or look them up before going in a dungeon?
people still wipe in wotlk heroic dungeons, at this point asking them to adapt is too much

If wow has taught me anything it's that the kind of people playing it are completely brainless and incapable of learning the most basic concepts or tactics even after playing the game for 20 + years. The reason a lot of terrible players are in classic and hardcore is they like the exremely basic gameplay and one button rotations and still being able to do well.
You are the noob if you dont know about the strat in that room, you bring a golem and position it in the door and the boss wont go further. learn more.
@@Marcorix2010 I played retail with a buddy who played DK last year and in a dungeon I asked if he could start kicking something because I was healer and it was doing a lot of damage or something and he goes "I don't have kick that's rogue" I almost had an aneurysm, this guy didn't know for years that like every class had a version of kick now....

Why are armatures playing Hardcore WoW? I have been playing on and off since 2004. I was in top world guilds, and I'd never even consider playing HC WoW, WAY too easy to die and MUCH too much reliance on other people to play 1 death its over. Even in the guilds we got top 10 kills in people did dumb crap ALL the time. Sometimes bad luck just happens, doesn't matter how good you are. I'm amazed how many armature people decided to play it.

Really the opposite take, this money is more deserved for people that have a passion for wow and now can use their experience to help their IRL situations. Some random just milking any competition and yoinking is very petty. It'd be like a WoW player hopping into hello kitty comps fully out of place, but new players are a plus always. In fairness to the priest who got knocked off in Thousand Needles... I've been playing horde for 6 months, I've quested up there like 10+ times and I've never seen that named mob before, so there's a very very good chance he simply didn't know it had a knockback. Also priests don't get levitate until level 34(?).

As someone who barely knows anything about WoW, but is getting into it, I always appreciate explanations of what's going on. Mainly for stuff that's very location-specific or depends on knowing something 99% of veteran players know.
I don't plan on playing HC Classic, but it's good to know general mistakes and such.
Serious question here, what were you doing for the last 19 years? WoW had its own South Park episode. It was on the front of EVERY magazine from like 2004-2008, TV ads, ads on every website, tons of press coverage, tons of events to get people playing, and even Classic rereleased in 2019. What made you pass it over for 19 years but decided now is the time 1/5th of a century later? It boggles my mind that people are still brand new to it, like why now? What changed?
The priest at 1:40 absolutely deserved to die. He wasted so much mana overhealing and bubbling himself while the group was wiping. And he was using Flash Heal which takes way more mana than other heals. Dude had no idea what he was doing, makes sense that he didn't understand how to petri - dude had no business being lvl 57.

5:19 Nameplates are automatically toggled off in Classic. So I'm assuming that either they don't bother to toggle them on, don't know how to, or don't even know it exists.

Classic hardcore is only hard when you don't have the mental capacity to breathe and play at the same time or if you're brand new to WoW.

Levitate is lvl 34. Thousand Needles is like 25-30 I think. Not including Shimmering Flats.
It's been like a hundred years.. how have people not learned that you do not hit autorun in the undercity elevators?
I only autorun across large expanses, if they got that short of an attention span their brains won't keep up VS rank 1 glads. Their brains stuck at 20fps
