For future reference, if you import a synth and it's playing the wrong notes, it's easy to fix! When you click that channel in the sequencer, you should get both the synth window, and an FL window with some basic settings and a piano at the bottom. C4 will be highlighted in orange -- it's the "root pitch" -- but if you right-click a different key, that key will become the root and every note on that synth will change. Just try different roots until it sounds right.
You could argue carnival solo is derived from dark solo, as dark solo's original name is "Dark circus" or circus solo, and they use generally the same method to hit the notes
What are all the names of the S5 synths, and where in FLstudio do I get them? I’ve been struggling to get sound to work on the original S5 file so I can edit it…
If you have any idea how to use FL it should be pretty apparent which synths are for what parts, however most of them are created in FL's Sytrus plugin. The drums are used with a paid plugin called EZDrummer.
@@ProcessHF okay! I know what some of the synth names are… Synchole (SyncShminc), formant X, basic (S4)… I know SyncShminc is found in PoiZone, and basic is in Sytrus… I can’t seem to find Formant X or whatever other synths there are. As I said, sound isn’t working in the original Soulless 5 file made by Exilelord… is there a way to fix that?
@@ProcessHF never-mind! Lol. I figured it out! Formant X is also found in Sytrus… also, I figured out how to fix the “no sound” issue! All the synths were going to an unsupported send… the number to the left of the synth was all greater than 1… so I had to turn all of them off so they said “---“. And WOW there are a lot of synths in that song!
S4 and S5 synths were tweaked for the keys they were composed in, making it sound awful without undoing those changes. Since I was slightly lazy with this project, i decided to simply scale the synths one octave globally instead of individually edit the piano roll of each pattern. I wanted to preserve the original composition without making it sound awful
Really dig the dissonance going on at 5:09
It does sound kinda cool, not totally sure why it does that though
@@ProcessHF ok we have a real person not going crazy over ExileLord/God casually commenting on video by a person with 700 subs
This would be great if the pitch matched Soulless 4 a bit more. It's all around the same octave, which sounds weird.
Yeah, unfortunately if I make it like that the detuned nature of the S5 synth sounds really muddy and weird.
Nice profile pic
@@ProcessHF you can really tell that in Fatalism
holy shit synthetic verse sounds so good
Lmao your profile pic XD
Soulless 5.4 or riot
hmm?
with the ".5" on the name I thought It was a extended or overcharted version but S4 with s5 lead sounds great
the parts you came looking for:
3:56
9:08
9:35
Thank you!
Thank you Process, Very Cool!
Honestly though this is is boss battle music right here.
Is is
I found my new favorite version of this song
the amount of low frequency this got could shake the entire earth
2:16 wha.. What... Wait what... You can't synth that COME ON
Enlightened sounds so evil, I love it. Always wondered how S4 would sound with the audio theme of S5.

Nahh broo synthetic B
That piano intro is just, beautiful with S5 stuffs.
0:05 This piano isn't very good...
0:28 OOOOOOOOOH I WAS WRONG.
Holy crap no one is talking at how good 3:33 is. It sounds amazing!
Dude fatalism and savagery of angels sound amazing
Bro this ain't kingdom hearts
as a guy who makes music with synths in garageband and logic pro x, this sounds awesome to me. Great job man!!
A really hellish experience
haha, I've been looking forever for this!
The beginning sounds more like epidox than soulless 5
Now I wanna see Epidox 5 (Epidox with S5 synths)

I know lmao. I had to adjust most of the pitches to match the score being in a lower octave
@@ProcessHF There's several parts where it's still down an octave LUL
Dark Solo has a section in soulless 5?
You could argue carnival solo is derived from dark solo, as dark solo's original name is "Dark circus" or circus solo, and they use generally the same method to hit the notes
The ending sounds cooler in it’s own way.
Machinations sounds like god
Cursed but holy as fuck
Soulless 9
yo i’m really sick right and didn’t notice the different until a second ago jesus

Loaf darkly did

This is dope. Sounds great
Holy shit you just FC'd soulless 4
bop
lol 5:20 sounds so much worse
Was kinda hoping for the chart to be a mix of s4 and s5
Im not patient enough to make charts :P
Give it time. Someone will eventually.
this is sweet
Not going to lie, I like this
this is insanity
THIS SOUNDS SICK MAN!
fatalism makes me happiness noise
holy shit the ending sounds so good???
I can hear regular Soulless 4 in the background lol
There are some soulless 4 synths left in to avoid muddyness during certain sections
oh YES
he do be typing at the start doe
8:52 and 9:18
Sound like deathbeams
wait that’s illegal
7:24
yo thats actually kinda good
i think a soulless 1 or 2 with 5's synths would sound cool
Ive done this already
yup i found out right after posting that comment and just never went to delete it
i like this
the beginning kinda sounds like the beginning of epidox.
thats what im sayinnn
cool
So this is Soulles 4 with Soulless 5 synth?
ye
7:45 error in chart
while i agree with you, unfortunately that's just how S4 was charted 🤷
I don't agree with any of you that's how exilelord wanted it
Is it just me, or is this version some octaves lower?
This is great although I think the mixing could have been done better imo.
Outro A sounds quite a lot similar to soulless 5 director cut s4 outro thing
oh my
Why does 11:16 sound exactly the same?... (it’s still my favorite part of the song...)
It's basically the same synth. He reused a lot of S4 synths in S5 with slightly different FX chains on them
@@ProcessHF okay... that explains why it sounds the exact same...
This sounds kinda like my remix of S4
I can hear buttons clickity clacking
Was your mic on in the video?
Yeah for like the first couple seconds until I muted it
Is it bad that I could tell that the thumbnail is the end of the section right before Victory Verse?
Eh.

That is a really good reason to keep it the same octave
soulless 5 with soulless 1 synths
Just... No.
imagine the earpain

the end is the same. almost
C_NATION104 the end has a richer more “open space” sound when the bass part kicks in. The part at 11:38.
ouf
Too much pluck throughout the entire song imo
This is so so wrong...
