Well they aren't "fake" guitar sounds. I'm running real guitar sounds through an amp (RealStrat through Amplitube 3) but I don't play real guitar so I'm not really experienced on how to make it sound "proper". The only song I can think of where I really use this though is Amalgamation. Most of my songs are pure synth as you said.

As someone who plays guitar I'd honestly say that FCing something like Soulless 4 might actually be harder in GH3 than on a real guitar, because on GH3 you have to be literally perfect, whereas this cover is really far from perfect, its just that it's close to the point where almost no one woukd ever be able to pick up the occasional missed notes
Also it looks like he did this in multiple takes spliced together
Now you just need The8BitDrummer's isolated track and someone to play it on bass for a proper metal cover lmao

Pretty sure this proves anyone who thinks the gh song is overcharted is wrong. This song is insanely hard to play irl. Props man, Loved the song
As a guitar player, I believe this proves the opposite. I'm pretty sure he's playing less notes at least on some of the parts and sometimes playing the notes not exactly as charted. Not that it takes away from the song. It still sounds good.

@PS3Harrison, I got a few questions but I'll just bring a specific example up. So 9:35 is charted correctly to the FL Studio file? The orange and blue notes seem similar to the green drone note that each note returns to in the Through the Fire and Flames intro that isn't really there but it's charted for lols.

Look at 9:51, yeah, I'm sure the rapid tremolo picking in the chart is exactly the same as the tapping he's doing on the real guitar.
I swear people are either deaf or know nothing about real guitar/music theory when they adamantly maintain "See, that was exactly as the chart was!"

2:46 the tapping for this section looks almost identical to how you would tap it on guitar hero, it's nice to see that the chart is accurate
I love the genre blend that's happening here. Sometimes you're DragonForce, sometimes you're Metallica, sometimes you're that one rock band that sounded really really cool in 7th grade, and sometimes you're "Epic Castlevania Guitar Medley". Good stuff.
