looks like you have both dials set to the same number which reproduces a knuckleball. you want to reproduce a fastball (with underspin). the bottom wheel must turn faster than the top wheel. pick a number for the bottom wheel then set the top wheel +/- 30-35 units LESS to reproduce a fastball.
In australia we have these 'jugs' but we use them on a horizontal, for a bowling machine for cricket, and are hugely popular for all grades.
