Great project! I've been looking for a tested DIY system to build for my kid's roller skate hockey practice (quad skates). He is a goalkeeper and is 6. There is no mention of the Bill of Materials cost anywhere I could find. Do you have a rough cost calculated? Also, would I be able to set the boundaries of the system for such a small target (from flat to about a meter in height?)

Hello, this machine is designed for tennis balls and for a tennis court. This machine is not suitable for other uses without major adjustments.
I don't know much about hockey and unfortunately I can't help you.
About the approximate costs. If you build the machine like I did and if you have to buy all the recommended parts and filament, that's around 800 - 1000 euros.

    Hi,
Have read your blog that you are working on 3 axis ball launch mechanism. The last one didn't work as I see. What was wrong?
    what is next idea?
Ps. I can't find files to yours machine blueprints or 3D sketches in your blog. Where to find them? Or you could send me them via email? what program do you use to design machine and 3D parts?
In 2018 video i see you are using SketchUp (i also use it), are you still using it?

      Hello,
      - The design with the side twist set was such that the machine had to be aligned with the ball, so pivoting and height adjustment were not possible.
      - The stl files plus a detailed and commented parts list, plus an electrical circuit diagram for this machine can be found here:
      cults3d.com/de/modell-3d/verschiedene/diy-simple-tennis-oder-pickleball-ballwurfmaschine-wbisinger
There are no other stl files or other CAD files
      - I use Sketchup Make 2017

@@wolfgangbisinger Hi, in your blog I'm missing your post about 3 axis new part. You had some testing with new parts and now it's gone. Is there problems with blog or you decided to stop developing that part?

      @@deisok95 Hello,
yes, unfortunately I had to end the project. I had to compromise too much, so that the function would only be usable to a limited extent, but then I would have no Lob and a heavy, unwieldy machine.
      Best regards

@@wolfgangbisinger well, some sacrifices are needed. Maybe heavier machine is not the worst compromise¿?
Maybe you could share what was your idea as I didn’t really understood mechanism.
Maybe any other idea came to mind?

@@deisok95 Download the 360 Mb zip file (copy or copy the link: wobi4ever.square7.de/html/SideSpinVideos.zip), please be patient. It would have been enough for a bit of sidespin, but foregoing smash balls and a machine weight of > 30kg that has to be at least balanced on a table to practice returns?
In my opinion, such a function is possible, only with three motors.
Why do you want to know so exactly? Do you build ball machines or do you want to build one and why the sidespin?
